This video could not have been done better. It was PERFECT - just got a pro 800 and this was everything you could possibly want to know explained perfectly. And I don't mean just about the pro 800. This literally could've been a tutorial on synthesis in general

After deeply contemplating what synth i wanted as my first synth, i actually landed on this beautiful clone. Was between this, the Model D and MiniFreak, i figured this model was the right amount of easy too learn for a first hardware poly-synth and versatile enough so i still can use it in my hip hop production, these deep dives videos are GOLD - will easily cop more presets from U too support once I can ❤ your doing so much heavy lifting

for anyone wondering how to just save the changes you made to a preset like B01 for example, make your changes, preset should flash, press REC, enter the number where you want to save in this case 01 and press PRESET again. note if you want to cancel the save, when you have pressed REC just press REC again
You just saved the life of my machine as I was just about to run it over with my truck. Your menu path not only works but it is also very simple. This tutorial version for saving patches is something that I could not make work despite the considerable time I spent trying. Man I was getting frustrated but I do love this little module now.

That was incredibly helpful, thank you. People complain of menu diving, but these unintuitive button combinations and procedures from the Pro 800 are far worse. Anyway, the machine is a best and well worthy learning the secret combinations.
Great tutorials! I just bought a PRO-800 and this really helped me understand it a great deal more than the QSG. "Fender got it wrong in the 50s". I LOVE IT!
I notice the one thing I want to know about isn't featured in XNB's tutorial. The voice count 1-8. Doesn't seem to have any effect. Sounds like all 8 voices on or not. And on the Swumps companion app there is just the 1 or 8 choice.
So I get that the price point and feature set make this a great choice for a first synth. However, the total lack of anything approaching a manual, all the undocumented settings (local thru and soft midi anyone?) and the lack of a built-in keyboard have meant this budget prophet has stayed in its box since it arrived in May. 😢 Thank you for this tutorial, XNB. Its really helped to get some understanding of what it can do.

Awesome video. Really informative. I have really been thinking about getting this one. However, do you know if there’s a way to sync the lfo to the bpm of the arpeggiator, so you can sync the lfo to let’s 1/4, 1/8 etc? If this is possible it would seal the deal for me!

Hi XNB. my second comment on this video :) But this time with a question: Is it possible to have LFO autoamtically in sync with external clock? So it moves in time with the beat from...Ableton or drum machine?
It is worth noting that Behringer does not yet allow you to roll the firmware back to an earlier version, so you might want to have a think about it before committing. I upgraded to 1.4.3 and am very happy with it, but going forward I'll probably wait. The main thing was for snappier envelopes & if you buy one today it will most likely have that upgrade.
My arpeggiator is not working, not getting any sound when I press any of the arps buttons, or any variation of the arps either, can't figure this one out
For the sake of completion I was hoping you would mention that you can tune voices individually and even turn them off entirely (what would useful for?) the accuracy of automatic tuning, etc Perhaps there are some Easter eggs we don't know about yet ;)

Great synth and even for me as an advanced beginner quite nice to tweak. However, each time I dial in the default preset I hesitate to modify it since this single saw just sounds awesome (headphones recommended) 😂😂😂
using abletons Tuner….I have quite widly differing tunings…for example osc 1 saw is off by 4.7 cents……orc 1 square is only off by .01 cents….and this is after going through the tuning steps….?? Latest firmware update as well. Been switched on for over an hour. Is mine damaged….??
Just received mine and no sound comes out of it... I don't understand, is there something special to do once the midi controller cables and the output cable are set ?
I have a Question i let it warm for 15 min get no SOUNDS AT ALL it turns on but no sounds used 2 types of speaker 2 types of head phones switched all cables and check in all the midi channels volumes up ..am i missing something ?? Or did i get a dud ? I even used a Diffrent midi keyboard controller PLEASE HELP is it just plug and play

Awesome video!! I have been looking for a way to control the filter with an expression pedal for months now. The "footswitch" input is a TS port i'm suspecting, and the TRS cable from the pedal just makes it act like a sustain pedal, sustaining once the pedal is halfway depressed. The midi keyboard I'm using has an expression input though, but it has no effect on the PRO800, maybe expression is unassigned out of the box? But I see no mentioning in the manual of assigning any parameters to the expression control. Maybe a 1/4 inch TRS to 3.5mm TS cable might allow the expression pedal to be plugged into the 3.5mm Filter CV in on the PRO800? Haven't tried that yet. If anyone has any tips please let me know, my search is getting desparate.
Hi, I have an issue with vibrato. It doesnt react to the mod-wheel properly at all, I open the factory patch 22 as in the video to be sure it's set up properly, but nothing happens. I just reinstalled new firmware and it's the same... when I change the mod-wheel target to LFO, it is the only way to ''unlock it'' and then adjust amount manually in the menu, but no way to set up mod-wheel for this... any idea how to fix this?
Hey great video! I want to create plucky marimba type sound and im wondering if the only way to modulate the pitch is through the poly mod? This just limits my ability to use the filter envelop along with pitch modulation? if that makes sense.. if anyone has tips please shout!
Question-- how did you get it so the display changes and shows the value of the parameters? When I turn my dials, I only the the preset number, unless I am changing settings. This one shown here shows values whenever you change the encoders or switches. Anyone know how to make mine do that?

Gotta admit had mine for a Month and love it but hate the original panel. Easily would have paid a $100 more for a modern panel/mod matrix and the the crave like sequencer.
The more i hear this unit the more i think I’m getting OFF THE UBXA TRAIN and buying (2) of these and pair them up for true Stereo Synth Sounds because correct me if I’m wrong THERE HAVENT BEEN ANY YT UPLOADS OF THE UBXA with sounds like the PRO-800 and the lushness of the PRO-800 TBH - but if I’m wrong can someone chime in because I’m thinking getting this and the new BEHR M5-S that was just announced a few days ago and wait until ULI gets the messes fixed on the UBXA with the BEHRINGER UBX-A 2.0 or ⛎🅱️❌-🅰️ 3️⃣.0️⃣ where they STRAIGHTEN QUIRKS AND MISSING ITEMS THEY LEFT OUT IN VERSION 1.0 ((we KEYBOARD FANATICS WITH 💯 GAS would GLADLY & GLEEFULLY PONY UP 🆙 AN EXTRA $300-$500 ❌✝️®️🅰️ to have OUR UBX-A ULI CAKE AND EAT IT 2️⃣.0️⃣)) 😊❤❤❤

I received mine this week and it still had the original "slow envelope" firmware. Updated it to the latest one through Synthtribe.
I guess a factory reset and then an update to desired firmware would work
