    While watching this I pondered if I could run such a race. As I drank my coffee, sitting in my reclining chair, some coffee went down the wrong pipe and I almost choked to death. I answered my own question.

      I had a similar question in mind a few years ago after watching Running The Sahara. Moments later I stepped on a Lego piece and was certain I was dying. So I shall remain a spectator of all sports beginning with “Ultra”. 😅

      Thank you Tabitha! appreciate that; and YES, it is vulnerable for me to share and not because I'm fearful of sharing what I eat...I LOVE the topic of food and I LOVE to eat, but I do have to deal with ridiculous comments - which is worth it if I can help even one person! =) Keep Choosing Strong!

      And an easy way to dig eggshells out if they do fall in is to use another part of the shell to scoop it. Otherwise sometimes the spatula just pushes it around and it's hard to grab!

    Out of topic but it's crazy to compare the grocery prices where you live and here in Slovakia, Europe. Since the food prices have been rising so much, it's pretty much similar. Regular tomatoes between €3-4 per kilo and I see organic tomatoes there for just $3.. Just to put it into a perspective, the minimum (and still pretty common!) wage here is around €700 a month brutto 😵‍💫

    Hey Sally, question for you! You may have answered this before but how many miles do you typically put on a pair of shoes before you replace them? Or do you not have a number and can just tell? I feel like my shoes maybe worn out but I’m not sure. I’m only 23 and everytime I go out to run I feel like I’m coming back with some injury. I ran my first marathon in February this year and injured my foot then once that started feeling better my calve started to hurt a lot, now that is better but my outer hip is hurting a lot. I’m wondering if it had something to do with my shoes or do you think it’s running form?

    Hi Sally, can you tell all non-American what's about it to wear a bobble hat or a cap inside the house.
    Question to your complete nutrition list: Is this really enough for you? Especially on a recovery day (with two exercise sessions) - I suppose - when there was much more training the day before.

    • @sallymcraestrength
      @sallymcraestrength  Рік тому

      Hello Michael! Yes the hat/cap it is popular here in Southern California for ppl to wear hats/caps everywhere both to protect from sun, for warmth and fashion. =) I love that you asked! I also wear a hat a lot because I am always in between training sessions and my hair is messy or not washed ha ha! And YES this was more than 2500 calories. My first session was mobility and some core, body work- I do not burn very many calories for a session like that. My 8 mile run was a recovery run...maybe I burned 400 calories at the most- I am very efficient in calorie burn. For a recovery day this was very fulfilling for me.

    My secret to a well cracked egg is just the pressure of how hard you hit the egg. I’ll usually pick a sharper edge of a counter or bowl and do one solid hit that cracks the egg about half way. In my experience, prying it open when it’s barely cracked or smashing the egg several times is usually the way you get shells in your food. Maybe this will help someone 😊

    However, don't you EVER have cravings for any of the "bad" stuff?
    Empty calories don't fuel my body but they sure do fuel my spirit.
    And what about your kids?
    Do your kids ever have eat junk? Isn't that part of being a teenager??

    Hard to believe that those small meals is enough to fuel all the training you do, I work out MUCH less than you and have to eat at least 3000kcal a day to just maintain and not loose to much muscle.
