Recently divorced, no kids... House is being sold...I am strongly leaning towards to living in a car for a while... and just travel the world. This vehicle is just perfect for me. Thank you for the great video.
@@QuanTran-ev6dg sorry your going through all that. It’s a great option. I had a friend who removed the passenger seat and made his bed longer since he was taller and rolled solo
@ On a dark desert highway (fr) I suddenly found myself having to avoid a big cow in the road. I swerved, saw her baby, swerved again. I hit the embankment on the side of the road just right. My Soul rolled three times. The music never stopped, the engine never stopped, and the lights stayed on. I was completely uninjured. One broken window, put air in one tire, the spare on another. Limped her home 17 miles when I was told a tow would take 3-5 hours based on location. Insurance marked it a total loss the next day. Went out and bought another when the check cleared. 🙏
Thank you Happy for taking the time to come and visit us in Maryland. It's really wonderful you made the time to film the Soulverlander. We hope this inspires others to just get out and do it! Just picked up a '14 Soul 6spd base, on Monday. My wife and I are taking it on its first trip/camp to the PA Gand Canyon, this weekend. We're so excited, and your video is really inspiring!
I have a 2013 Soul, manual, too... and yeah, I've treated it like an off-road vehicle at times. I do carefully select my driving path - where my tires will go. But heeeyyyy - a lift kit... Hmmmm!!
Hi! Teresa here (this is my Soul). The Soul has a small compartment door on the inside of the hatch that you remove to gain access to the hatch mechanism. Easy peezy, give a squeeze and the hatch latch is released. Hope this helps! 😊

I love seeing other KiaSoul campers! Mine is a 2019 with 179K miles. Traveling full time is a bitter sweet life. ☮️

How do you release the hatch from inside?
