There are many types of homeless and this could be considered one of them. The channel Invisible People is really good at showing the different kinds of homelessness out there.❤
Left fed govt job as a contractor, no pension, hated my job, made great money, Bob showed the way, almost a year later and I am barely down on money and enjoying retirement at 48! Road coming soon after the virus. Live with less, food, shelter, stop buying made in china plastic crap, declutter, down size, make things, grow things, freedom!

I agree no one thinks anyone is sleeping in a Kia. I didn’t get any knocks.

I love to camp and I never even thought about doing it this way. Thank you so much for posting this video. I will continue to watch all of them because this is something that I have been interested in rather than camping in a tent. I am getting ready to retire and thinking about selling all my property except for the car of course and maybe living off the grid somehow. Thank you so much have a wonderful day!
I’ve watched this video twice. So amazing. I have a 2020 Kia Soul. I have a house and job, live in Florida, but I LOVE Bob’s video’s and am inspired by them and the people on their journeys. Loved the movie Nomad Land too. I believe more and more people will be going the simpler lifestyle. Peace to all of you ✌️
Thank you for sharing this! I found it to be very encouraging. I am 64 and recently just realized I did not want to go one more day at the job I was working at. I was trying to make it to retirement, which would have been in Sept 2021, but hated my life and the mundane existence I was living. I had purchased a 5th wheel about a couple years ago, and sold my house, and parked the 5th wheel on my daughter's property in Ramona, CA. But eventually she convinced me to sell it and just live inside. I wish I would have kept it, but still enjoy living out in the country with my daughter, her husband and my grandson, and my three English Bulldogs. I watch alot of videos on van conversion and RVs and constantly think of doing something like this, but was a little afraid of being out there on my own. I also am an artist and hoping to start to do this, as it is something I truly enjoy and feel I have somewhat of a talent for it. The problem is that I have so much art equipment that I even found it hard to keep in the 5th wheel. My current room at my daughter's home is filled with art supplies. Not sure how to downsize this. Thank you for your videos. They are inspiring.
Elaine Ruiz - you can do it girl!! Parting with your art supplies can be surprisingly difficult! Just take the essentials and store the rest at your daughters house. If you find you really need something then that would be a good excuse to visit the daughter. Also start with some short excursions to figure out what you really need or can live without. I hope you dump your job and LIVE a little! Good luck👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you for making these videos during these times. We ALL look forward to them. Thank you for your time and efforts in making these videos and making them fun and informative too.
I love this channel, and feel that Bob has helped a lot of people in a great number of ways; whether it be in their quest for freedom, or in dealing with hard times. I myself have wanted to hit the open road for a number of years now, but various obligations and circumstances have prevented me from doing so, and I say that without regret. With that being the case, I really appreciate the opportunity to share in these adventures vicariously. Still, I cannot wrap my head around the entire concept of actually living full time in something as small as a car. I know, "Different strokes for different folks" and sometimes you simply have to make do with what you can afford, but I can't imagine actually *aspiring* to that degree of minimalism. When I see something like this, I ask myself, what's next ... How To Live In A 55 Gallon Drum? But then I realize that these travelers are a lot tougher than I could ever hope to be, and that what confuses *me* might possibly inspire others. So I take my hat off to them, and wish them well.
I've thought about this a lot, myself, and always try to remember many folks have LIVED with even less - no vehicle at all. I'm not to that point yet, but I am about to head out in my SUV. Luckily I have the means to afford some elements of comfort - fridge, solar, etc., so I'm excited and grateful to have that, and to be retired and have SS to rely on (for now at least).
Arh brilliant video.. such a good thing bob spreading the word.. I lived in my little camper car for 9 months with my two dogs.. this gave the the chance to clear a lot of debt and now I rent a room but my heart belongs on the road ✌️✌️.. bob you gave me the strength to do all this ..
My sister name is Kanesha! I’m preparing to move into my Kia Soul full time. I’ve slept in it a couple of nights. It’s comfortable and has really good insulation.
good idea Laura...I worked until I was 66 ,but in doing so my health was such that it impacts my retirement more than I want ..I have to use a cane everywhere now , so many terrains are too difficult ...I wish I would have taken off of the workforce sooner ... have great travels
I paid storage fees for 1 year, at $299.00 per month basically to store my junk. I could fit two vehicles in my storage unit, that is how much stuff I had. After one year, I donated everything to Value Village and have never looked back. I am still downsizing all the time but have never been happier in my tiny space. Great video, thank you for making it.
Laura, you go girl. Bob great tour, interview with such a informative Nomad. i really like the privacy tent and colors. Laura I thought of doing the same, small . I still would now but found a 23' class c. Its just great for this Senior solo gal Safe travels to you both
Put some paraffin on the zipper of your privacy (tent). That will keep it from getting stuck and/or skipping. It's a lifesaver. If you don't, then after a few months you will think your zipper is ruined, when it isn't.
I have a Kia Soul. I don’t travel in it like that, but the one thing I love about the Soul is how spacious the front seating is. Some of these newer vehicles are just overwhelmed by the size of the dashboard but the Kia Soul doesn’t have that issue.
I'm so impressed how many women chose this kind of living. For us in Europe it's impossible to live this way. I think you have to be very courageous to choose this way, to live in a car or RV and to travel, but on the other side, amazing. Travelling, meeting new people, see and visit so many places. Great respect for all who choose to live so free.
Wow! I have a Kia Soul. I can do this too! Getting more realistic and probable by the day. Corona virus, economical collapse and all that... So now I now what to pack. Thanks for the tour! 👍
I admire your courage ...... I am one of the home dwellers still ..... I just sit here Aeschylus nite and live vicariously thru these inspiring and ever so interesting ways of life ! Gosh what I wouldn’t give to do this .... Have a wonderful journey !
We owned a Soul that was inherited from my wife’s mother and were amazed how much room is in them. They look small on the highway but get in one and see! The second row passenger has plenty of leg room. Fold those second row seats down and you can get a lot of stuff in it. Not surprised this lady can sleep in it.
I was surprised by the passenger room as well! My mother has an Outback and the Soul feels more spacious. MUCH less cargo, but rarely do I have someone sitting back there ;)
Thank you Bob for another great video. This ladies window coverings are awesome. I’ve got a Honda Odyssey van and now realize that I can make covers for the windows so cheap and easy!!! Styrofoam, blackout curtains & tape. Wow!!!! Then the solar panel, maybe a generator too. I’ve got to start working on my van. Keeping “sticks n bricks” until we see if this lifestyle is the right choice! Thank you again for all that you do. Sending hugs, blessings & safe travels to you and Cody!
So glad she shared! I just moved from a house into a new van I bought and took waaayyy too much stuff. I just want to torch it! I’m hunkering down till the threat of this virus has passed.

@@alifeofdiversions3174 thanks, I can imagine. I've been looking at those too but like my pappy used to say, "that price is a little salty". Super nice vans though & totally worth it! I'll look for your youtube video:)
Zippered pillow cases can be so helpful because they can serve as storage for clothing or blankets, but can also be used as pillows :) What I like to do is put my things in a waterproof zippered pillow protector and then place that inside of the other zippered cloth pillow protector, that way my clothes or items inside remain clean and I only have the wash the outside cloth pillow cover :)

I am getting ready to retire and thinking about selling all my property except for the car of course and maybe living off the grid somehow. Thank you so much have a wonderful day!
Ahhh I have a Kia Soul and am thinking about doing this in this upcoming summer
Great video! It’s good to see other car/suv dwellers being represented!
Ms poetry, Wana make love to me.
Being priced out of my town, but can’t give up college. This helps alot, thank you!
I really enjoy her lifestyle! she made it work for her in a Kia and with an outside bathroom tent! these are awesome ideas for me
I never tire of these informative videos. A little of this and a little of that from van/car/rv dwellers provides a plethora of ideas. 😊.
Peace to all of you ✌️
I'm so happy to see this! I also have a Kia soul that I deliver mail out of it and I'll tell you they can take a beating ☺️❤️.
I enjoyed this interview. She is very excited about her life. She has learned alot in a short time. Keep videoing! Thanks Bob
Thank you for making these videos during these times. We ALL look forward to them. Thank you for your time and efforts in making these videos and making them fun and informative too.
Oh I love her story. Thanks for showing car life.
Rock on Laura ! Kudos to you for following your dreams
Wow..this is awesome to see her so happy and content in life living in a kia..really enjoyed video and inspired by her courage.
So nice! Good luck Laura! God bless!
He does help so many people....he’s sort of a trail blazer....also a lot of the nomads....
She looks so happy. I love it. I have a Kia soul too and she set it up so nicely.
My sister name is Kanesha! I’m preparing to move into my Kia Soul full time. I’ve slept in it a couple of nights. It’s comfortable and has really good insulation.
Laura you're a natural infront of the camera. Thank you for sharing your Kia with us. (Btw, you look a lot like my ex)
good idea Laura...I worked until I was 66 ,but in doing so my health was such that it impacts my retirement more than I want ..I have to use a cane everywhere now , so many terrains are too difficult ...I wish I would have taken off of the workforce sooner ... have great travels
I have a kia soul 2014, and it's the best car I purchased.
I would love to see more interiors of the soul and how it is set up.
Laura, you go girl. Bob great tour, interview with such a informative Nomad. i really like the privacy tent and colors. Laura I thought of doing the same, small . I still would now but found a 23' class c. Its just great for this Senior solo gal Safe travels to you both
I am so impressed with this woman. She is smart, resourceful, and inspiring.
Put some paraffin on the zipper of your privacy (tent). That will keep it from getting stuck and/or skipping. It's a lifesaver. If you don't, then after a few months you will think your zipper is ruined, when it isn't.
I LOVE my Kia Soul. Fantastic cars!! Kia/Hyndai is the new (affordable) Toyota!
REALLY inspiring. I, too, have a Soul and plan to do some weekend boondocking soon!
Wow! I have a Kia Soul. I can do this too! Getting more realistic and probable by the day. Corona virus, economical collapse and all that... So now I now what to pack. Thanks for the tour! 👍
I really enjoyed this interview. Thank you Laura and Bob. Plus, that’s a really cute jacket...best wishes!
I love Laura! I just rented a Kia, and I like it! I think I’m going to buy one!
Great job... i love the positive, can do attitude of this lady. The kia soul is nice. Great interview
Doing the same in my Soul took out all the seats but driver..plenty of rm. Good luck to you😊
I admire your courage ......
I LOVE MY KIA SOUL!!
Happy trails to Laura, good video Bob. 👍👍😁😎
Enjoying this video. Love her energy and philosophy.
So glad she shared! I just moved from a house into a new van I bought and took waaayyy too much stuff. I just want to torch it! I’m hunkering down till the threat of this virus has passed.
Whatcha buy?
razor3003 I got a 2019 Ford Transit High Top 😁 with an outrageous monthly payment which I quickly justified because I would be living in it.
Thanks for asking 😊
@@alifeofdiversions3174 thanks, I can imagine. I've been looking at those too but like my pappy used to say, "that price is a little salty". Super nice vans though & totally worth it! I'll look for your youtube video:)
Wow! I’ve been following you recently Bob! You’re awesome!
Another great ☝!!! Good luck to you Laura you look like your having a wonderful life. 😎😁
I’m very envious of people in her situation and lifestyle. I hope I will be in the position to do this someday. Safe travels.
“I don’t live cameras”. Same here. But look at her !! She’s beautiful. Bless her for making her own happy.
Thanks for sharing Bob & Laura 🤩
Love ya Bob. You have truly made the world a better place
