Hah, i was just thinking like: Hey, and what about g6? Isn't it a good defence? And second after that I heared: But he played move, that loses instantly-g6 xD Kappa
I was considering Bf8 with the idea of g6 next move. I'm just surprised the IM didn't even have a plan to play against the London. No way in hell is my bishop staying behind the pawn chain vs a lazy opening that can't punish bringing it out
Excellent observation. I suspect that scenario is what Sarin would have done and what white foresaw when he resigned. I think that if black declines the sac with Kg7, then white could play Ng6, threatening Qf7 check. Rook H8 might be black's best move, but his king is in trouble.
Ive be been trying for months to develope a sacrificial attack on the black castled King, never getting better than a draw (repetition). Many of my attempts fell short due to insufficient forces. Thank you.
Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Sarin still has that move even if Jensson left that pawn on G7. I don't see how moving the pawn from G7 to G6 had any affect on the Knight SAC - Queen trap. If I'm wrong bring it to light.
Short and brilliant! This reminds me of the combination which Alekhine played against Feldt in a blindfold game and won! Alekhine captured the e6 pawn with the queen and administered mate with the knight in that game!
There was a series of Blitz games in one of Nakamura knockouts with Sarin, where at some game, he came really close, and there was a couple of game her drew as well..
About your videos, have you considered doing them in two parts: one just a straight play through and then a second sweep with a move by move discussion? Those who are proficient chess players may not hang around for part two, but those learning my benefit from first seeing the game and then going back if willing to spend the extra time.
Agadmator good game analysis and nice to see an Indian making Brilliant moves. I am a proud Indian. Your pet is so cute. Which type of Chess Openings it makes ?
I got a bit proactive regarding the "you can pause the video ..." and actually got the move. The only problem was I was playing Jensson's move and thought g6 was a good alternative to avoid the problems that arose with h6.
#suggestion It would be great to hear your thoughts on Rybka (Computer) vs Hikaru Nakamura. It's quite a hilarious match. Keep up the good work on a great channel!
Hello Agadmator, I try to find the combination but I think I may find something else. If the Einar captures the knight in F7. Nihal could have also done h8. So the king should have moved F8. After that Nihal can make the move Bh6. I think it is a checkmate. I'm not sure at 100%, but I would like to have your opinion. Thank you :). Edit : I have just seen my mistake xD, black can capture the queen then. Nevermind. At least I could have thought about chess, I'll keep it up. Thank you.
Great analysis as always. Btw, I watched this with subtitles turned on. At 6:54 when you said Praggnanandhaa is stealing all the spotlight, my screen reads "pregnant is stealing all the spotlight". Pregnant haha!
Hi,I was wondering at 3:57 if you could play Nf8! You got no weapon up in your sleeve now cause the knights are guarding everything. What am I missing?
There should be addition of one more new move i.e self destruction as some time we loss the game bcoz of your self Pieces. So we can sacrifice or remove self Piece from game to avoid check mate.
Ey agad, I got a question. I got a chess tournament in about 2-3 months. What do you think I should focus on and what to do etc? Im rated 1600 lichess Thanks for ur daily videos fam
I think thats a good recommendation from Agad. I'm upper 1700s on lichess with a top rating of 1800+. My game improved noticeably when I dedicated time to end games. I would suggest to enter the tournament knowing exactly how you are going to reply to the various lines whether you are black or white. Lastly, make a list of tactical and positional ideas that you need to keep in mind while playing the game. The list should have things like decoys, deflection, unguarded pieces, pawn structure, etc.. If you play online keep the list with you so you don't overlook those ideas during the game. Also, review the list before every session online or OTB. Over 2-3 months I think you will have them memorized by the time you play in the tournament. I made a similar list and committed it to memory. Then, one day I remember having a choice to capture a piece with my d or f pawn. The difference was that if I captured with my d pawn I would have 4 pawns against 2 on the kingside as I went into an endgame. Guess which I picked and won the game? Good luck and please report back.
Le Shryder also study some unusual openings as black or white. That would be my suggestion. That is what Carlsen did at first to get his opponents into uncomfortable positions but for you to win them, you have to know that opening very well. Also as black you have to keep more options against the first same move of white. I don't think you can do much about the middle game because that purely requires practice. The more you play the better you get.
I have seen him practicing alone in his veranda when I accompanied my friend to visit his mom who is a psychiatrist in Kottayam medical college. He was hardly five or six. I never imagined this boy will conquer the chess world some day. Wat an achievement. Good luck Nihal.
I think instead of going directly at the e6 pawn by capturing with the knight at g5, why not capture it with the queen on h3 with check? Then after Kh8, Nf7+ forking the queen and the king, and after Kg8 again (if Kg7, then Bh6+ would just bring in more guns and would improve white's attacking possibilities), white then has a tempo and a discovered attack on the black king at g8 while capturing the queen at d8, thus saving the white knight from being recaptured by any of the black pieces. Sounds possible don't you think so?
He resigned on the basis of next best moves but not really Nihal would have played knight to G5 check. Suppose if he had played knight to E5 check then nothing happens and White loses knight for a pawn. I don't think they shud resign until best moves have been played.
This is exactly how I play the pretty aggressive London system and recently realised that some chess.com players had described me as a player winning by not thinking but making moves fast.... Lol having played the London system more than literally 10000 times I no longer think in the opening 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Nihal Sarin, now there's a name to remember! That was a beautiful miniature, thanks for sharing agadmator.
I hope one day I will play against a GM and he will resign cause he will see an amazing combination I have, even though I have no clue on it.

Good luck! I'm pretty much in the same boat.

Highly unlikely. Child prodigies rarely follow through in adulthood with the thing that cost them their childhood.
@@plostyle786 I think nearly all the top GMs today were child prodigies.

At 6:05 after the king captures the knight, you could also play Qxe6! and if king takes, Ng5 is mate
slay Wonderful
King can also decline but yeah it's over anyway.
you'd probably have to go with h4, h5 ideas. its not a better move, I'm just saying it would have been brutal
Excellent observation. I suspect that scenario is what Sarin would have done and what white foresaw when he resigned. I think that if black declines the sac with Kg7, then white could play Ng6, threatening Qf7 check. Rook H8 might be black's best move, but his king is in trouble.
Rh8 would be a blunder. Rf8 to cover f7, and even though it looks easier to play as white, it's probably an even game to a computer
He is a great player. My best wishes for his journey to World no 1😊🙏
agadmator is just great at covering games..kudos! Keep going!

Its surprising GMs make those type of blunders. I wonder if its purely accidental or if they underestimate their much younger opponents.
Einar Hjalti Jensson is IM not GM.
