The members: Asami (Vocals), Miho (Bass), Haruna (drums) who is a powerhouse, and the dynamic duo Midori (blond guitarist) and Miyako (black hair guitarist). The bassist Miho and the drummer Haruna came over from the great Destrose band and wanted a more European metal sound from their group. So take Iran Maiden mix in Judas Priest with some Dragon Force and bring it to a whole other level with English lyrics by a bluesy vocalist and you have LOVEBITES. The Zepp DiverCity 2020 concert is great or the 2019 Tokyo concert likewise is epic. They have only been playing together 3+ years and are getting better everyday. the 1st all female metal band from Japan to play at Wacken and Bloodstock in 2018.

The white dress is like their trademark. If i´m not wrong, was Miho´s idea (bass player) when with Haruna (drums) left Destrose to create a new band. The white dress are intend to create a visual gap between the music and their image. Almost all the Lovebites songs have long guitar solos, also they have already 3 studio albums in the market and a live one. Also they have toured with Dragonforce sometimes
Yes, they always wear white in their videos & live shows. They say part of that is to distinguish themselves from other bands & the other part is that they're all so short & white makes it easier to see them onstage (Miyako, the one with the black guitar, towers over the others at 5'2", while the drummer Haruna is a tiny beast at only 4'9")

If you haven't yet seen their official Live Video of "Holy war" at Tokyo 2020, you should. It'll melt your face off! :D (with lyrics at the ready obviously, they're pure and unadulterated power metal!) And I believe there's no need to stop it either (in USA at least), they removed it from lists so that people can spread it around and girls get some good publicity :)

They wear those white outfits all the time. One reason given is that they are so small they want to be seen. There is another all-female power metal band Aldious who wear evening gowns or party dresses, so they look like they work at a Japanese hostess club. Sort of like Band-Maid and the maid cafe look. The band name comes from the Halestom song, "Love Bites (So Do I)". Asami, the Lovebites lead singer has gotten to sing that song with Lzzy Hale and Halestorm. When you see Asami next to Lzzy and the rest of Halestorm, yeah, she is kind of small. They are going for a European metal sound.
When they play like they do, they wear whatever they want. And I'm shocked that in 2020 you're shocked that five talented women who have been playing instruments since they were small children can rock harder than many all-male bands. Japanese education mandates that learning a musical instrument is compulsory. It should be a common policy. It not only teaches fine motor skills, but also concentrates the mind. They have earned their reputation. They are respected by their peers and the music industry. Just because they don't wear the usual "Metal uniform", it doesn't mean they aren't a legitimate Metal band. You don't get to support DragonForce on tour if you're no match for them. 🤦
Lovebites is (mostly) a power metal band but they have influences from Metallica, Iron Maiden, Helloween, Slayer, Dragon Force, Gary Moore, Whitesnake, etc., and they’re developing their own style. Obviously I recommend their live performances; they really shine live, especially their latest concert earlier this year “Zepp Divercity, Tokyo 2020”. Other recommended live performances are “Daughters of the dawn”, “Battle in the east”, “Wacken”. Avoid “Bloodstuck” (bad audio). My song suggestions: “When destinies align” (live), “Hammer of wrath”, “Shadowmaker”, “Break the wall”, “Rising”, “Signs of deliverance”, “Swan song” (with classical piano), “Scream for me”, “Raise some hell”, and a special mention to “Thunder vengeance” (mind blowing), “Dancing with the devil” (classic rock and bluesy vocals), “Empty daydream” (nice piano and vocals with catchy mid tempo), “Epilogue” (epic power ballad, great vocals, nice piano, scorching old school guitar solos) and “Edge of the world” (epic power ballad, nice vocals, nice guitar solos and song build up)

It's time to let go of the stereotypical heavy metal clothing of chains and leather and studs and nasty looking guys, it's time that looks no longer matter but the art of good music played with professionalism and heavy metal class that matters. Those ladies are sooooooooooooo fucking heavy power metal..they just amazing and so good to listen at.
LOVEBITES!!! I figured you were gonna get a shitload of requests for them so I picked other music instead. I like the musicianship of Lovebites but the singing becomes monotonous at times, (Just my opinion guys, don't get mad) and every song sounds similar. They are not on my top 10 but they are impressive musicians nonetheless. Although I will admit to having a HUGE crush 🥰 on Miyako (the Dean Player) She plays exclusively on Dean guitars, as do I, and just came out with her own signature Dean Flying V.
