LOVEBITES is a relatively new metal band formed by leader Miho (base) in 2016 and made a major debut in 2017. Before the pandemic, they mainly performed live in Japan / UK / EU. They have already performed at major metal festivals around the world, including WACKEN OPEN AIR 2018, and in 2019, at the invitation of Herman Li, took part in the DragonForce UK tour. They are an adult female metal band with 80's metal & classical music DNA and R & B / soul voice. They define themselves as lone wolves fighting metal stereotypes and have wolves as their trademark.
The concert this performance was taken from was actually held on February 21st 2020, so right before the pandemic truly took off. Also I don't see why people wouldn't take them seriously. They paid to see them, after all lol. Lovebites have quickly garnered a lot of attention and praise in Japan, but also in the West. They have played at several European music festivals and toured the UK with DragonForce, as already mentioned. They have yet to perform in the US though. There are several songs where they are moving around a lot more and just having fun on stage. Holy War was the second song they performed that day, so still early on in the concert. Lovebites also play many different styles of metal. They are a lot more versatile than you seem to realize. Power metal, thrash metal, speed metal, some of their songs have more of a hard rock feeling to them, they have beautiful ballads, some pretty proggy songs, they incorporate the piano, keyboard and even an acoustic guitar into their songs ... No point in comparing them to Babymetal, as Lovebites play their own instruments and compose their own songs. They are the real deal.
Absolutely my favorite band, was Iron Maiden but these ladies took that torch and are running with it. They are on hiatus because the bass player just left and they have to find a new one. Thank you for reacting to this great band.
@@gatograto Greetings again from the Saturday Morning Cowboys! Fancy bumping into you again. Miyako just might have to step in and play the bass. It's reported that she also knows how to play bass, besides piano, keyboards, and guitar.

These women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile great musicians. They really shine in their live performances. They have influences from Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Angra, Helloween, Judas Priest, Dragonforce and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their own unique style. I recommend you to react to songs from the concerts “Daughters of the dawn” (Tokyo, 2019), “Wacken Open Air” (Germany, 2018), “Five of a kind, Zepp Divercity, Tokyo, 2020), “Awakening the abyss” (live studio, Japan 2020) and “Ride for vengeance/ Heavy metal never dies” (Tokyo, 2021). Lovebites is one of my fave metal bands, combining power metal, thrash metal and prog metal. Don't know what you're into (maybe metal core, death metal). I'm a hard rock guy at heart so I'll recommend Band-Maid. Another band that will challenge your preconception of serious music. Some songs to check out: "Warning" (punk metal); "Different" (prog punk); "No God" (Motorhead-style prog funk rock); "Manners" (groovy hard rock); "Rinne" (classic metal); and "Domination" (live) a rmetallish-hard rock song with the ladies running around on stage.
They are on hiatus because their bassist left on Aug 17 due to personal reasons so the band was forced to go on hiatus until they can find a replacement, they said they would definitely be back. They did tour with DragonForce in 2019 but have not been to the USA yet. In interviews they said they definitely want to but now need to wait for covid travel restrictions to be removed. They have performed at Wacken Open Air and Bloodstock in 2018. They won the 2018 Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band.
Well they came to Spain three years ago when they had just started their band and were so small, they toured all around Europe. Now that they are bigger they will probably tour again around the world, they like it. Oh and they are on hiatus because the bass lady left the band and they have to put things in order for some time; find someone, let her adapt and everything.

LOVEBITES - Holy War lyrics:
Look at those black clouds, it’s going to rain blood
People live in fear, covered in mud
Singing oh Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
There is a thousand, a thousand of evils
Hush, do not wake up Satan’s devils
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and all for one forevermore
Kingdom of Heaven, never shall we fall
Reincarnation, wait for your call
Singing oh, Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
Morning star and dying moon
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Mighty soul, let there be hope
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
Stand up in the name of the God of heavy metal
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
Facing the fate, holy war
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and for one forevermore
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
Facing the fate, holy war
