Honestly within a home, birdshot is one of the most devastating loads that you can use because not only will it very seldom go through a wall and hit some poor innocent person on the other side of it, but it will literally rip a human body apart if they're within say 25 ft, 8 yds. And I was a cop and I can tell you it's very effective despite anybody telling you otherwise. It will even injure someone wearing ballistic vests or plates.
This is America and if you want to rock birdshot then rock it all day long. Recently I have become a fan of the Active Self Protection UA-cam channel, and I have seen several videos where individuals are shot with birdshot and can keep on fighting. Once even two officers were shot with birdshot, one in the face, both were able to stay in the fight. After some recovery both officers were able to make a full recovery. For that I am glad the criminal was using bird shot. And yes it can be a fight stopper, but for me, I'll rock 00 buck.
