    Friendly advice for all the English learners out there 🌎...make sure you focus more on clarity as opposed to speed when you practice speaking in English. It’s A LOT more important! 🇨🇦

    i'm a native speaker so i don't know why i'm watching this but i can say that all of these words are extremely natural and 100% used in daily conversation. i didn't even know the meaning of ad hoc before watching this so even us natives have something to learn from this! also, this is kind of a newer expression but "zoomies" can also refer to when some dogs or cats get very excited and run all around like crazy. for example you would say "my dog always gets the zoomies when she hears me open her bag of treats."

    A “mint” is a place where currency (especially coins) is made. Perhaps the idiom “mint condition” comes from the idea that the item looks best when fresh from the place it is made.

    Best teacher in the world. Can you tell me what is the meaning and how to use of "Be my guest" phrasal?

    • @readytostudy.
      @readytostudy. 2 роки тому

      Be My Guest means you are asking someone to stay at your place
      You can use it formally as well
      And yeah it's mostly used individually
      For example-
      You - When is your flight for LA?
      Your Friend - Oh it's at 3 today
      You - What..Be my guest

    In my opinion, it would be a good Idea also to write down all these colloquial-conversational/slang words and phrases also under the video, in written. So that someone, who does not necessarily want to listen to your video from the begining to the end can just zero (for those, who might not know this word, it means concentrate - if I am not mistaken) on the words themselves, without all the examples and explanation. I think it would also make sense to do this retrospectively... I dunno what all your other fans think...guys?
