No I don’t think it’s better than ableton by any means. I love ableton too. I like GarageBand iOS because it’s easy and portable and free. It’s not the best but it’s not bad.
Doesn’t matter if it’s before or after. Because you can always remove it edit them later. That would only matter if you’re printing an effect on the vocals that can’t be edited. butngenerally recording dry and then adding EQ and effects is best so you actually know what you’re EQing...
Also when how should I be recording vocals as far as voice over and ad Lina well as highlights? I’m learning all this on my own and man your videos are a life saver. Thanks for not charging. ❤
You da man homie! Funny, I just found out about the eq feature a few days ago and I’ve been messing with it. And now you came through and hooked it up with that extra guidance I needed. Good lookin out fam. You have no idea how much your vids have been helping me. I gave you a shout out in one of my vids recently cuz you’ve been like my main teacher the past few months and I appreciate it big time.
Wow this kind of blew my mind, are usually just turn the treble up a good little bit Because I thought it brought out clarity in the vocals, I don’t think I have too much bass in my rap voice so I guess I’d take the latter option of the mixing, ☺️I’ll try this next time I record and try putting the bass up in my vocals since I’m a little bit up-pitched
Yea it definitely does bring out clarity but too much of it can be piercing to the ears and sounding a bit too sharp. Definitely need a good balance of both all so it’s not too muffled or too sharp.
Hi LXGEND! You mentioned that you're using iPhone headphones. How far away was the mic part of the headphone away from you when you recorded? It sounds good.
How do i get rid of hissing s’s without making the treble so cutoff that it sounds muffled? Is there something i should be doing while recording before mixing that will reduce the hissing?
Using a better mic. The better your source audio is the less you have to do in post to fix issues like that. I don’t know of any DeEsser or noise suppressor plugins for mobile. So using a better mic would help with that
I have been watching your autotune tutorial, but i didnt get the answer i was looking for... I try to sing a Charlie Puth song (attention) and in this song you use different voice levels. My problem here is that the auto tune cant handle this.. So it would be very nice, if you could help me with this problem 😁
Voice levels volume wise don’t matter at all when recording with autotune. If you’re talking about key changes, then that’s something you can’t work around unless you first export the song in on key, then import it into another project with the different key.
@@IAMLXGEND Thanks for the quick response! Your answer is very clear and i don't want to ask to much, but do you have a video explaining this or can you make one? Btw your channel gave me hope and motivation to sing again❤
When I record in GarageBand once I add the instrumental I want to add to the vocals I recorded the time doesn’t match 🥴 once I can get passed this stupid mess I can actually put a song out it’s driving me nuts lmao
I love GarageBand iOS. I use it on my phone and iPad. I used to use ableton.
jose FloresASMR/GarageBand iOS check my channel I also do both!
You should check out these songs i made on my phone on garageband ios ua-cam.com/play/PLqmBb1Ys0CiPQY50yIaxFRsiJgVSNFpNC.html
uhm what, you love limited feature garageband over professional ableton?
No I don’t think it’s better than ableton by any means. I love ableton too. I like GarageBand iOS because it’s easy and portable and free. It’s not the best but it’s not bad.
@@slithergore i didnt expect you to reply after 2 years lol
This is why we love you💕 Your contents and videos are always very helpful 🙌
How’d you know! 😂😂😂 im in this process now so this is right on time! Thank you sir! 😁😁😁
Do you know if recording with the vocal effects on first is bad or if you should do it after you record them dry
BTW i know it’s a year late but i think doing it dry first then eq it after

Great information, thank you! Each rapping magic video I do is a progession for me. I'm working on Eqing right meow. So this is great!!

6-12 inches.
Actually probably more like 1-2 feet if I’m
Doing full voice.
IAMLXGEND Quarantine got me messing on GarageBand both on my Mac and phone everyday so thank you very much!! Your videos help out a lot!
Can I get the source for the background music please?
*You're The best!!!* *#RAAPOnPoint*
Needed this video . 👍
I use it creative work flow is impressive
if I were to be recording vocals on GarageBand iOS and sending the vocal Stems to someone for mixing, would I still need to EQ my vocals for that ?
EQ usually comes with mixing.
Bro thank you‼️
Who else wasn’t paying attention to him and watching the tv
Lol focus
How do you use vocal presents on garageband

I have that same phone
Boom 🤯
Boom!!
On iphone how i make it go wit the beat bro ?
How do i make da vocal go wit da beat ?
Bro... Try the Shure Mv88 mic.
Yes I know about the Shure!
@@IAMLXGEND I did my first verse with it today. I'm so glad you reminded me of the Lows Mids and Highs. Thanks bro.
No problem at all 🙏🏾
My vocals sound off beat when I’m recording! It’s Bluetooth headphones with a mic. How can I fix this
Don’t use Bluetooth headphones.
Yeah Bluetooth has a delay on GarageBand so it’s best to use a plugin
I Am The Marble yeah soon as I got the plug in I seen the difference

Yes
My boy watching atozy 😂
Yea man lol #GoodContent I also met him at Vidcon last year 😂

Honey Onyx if the timing don’t match, you can move your vocals yourself, pinch zoom in & move it. Watch this: ua-cam.com/video/tYCGy42IN7I/v-deo.html
Teach how to mix mp3 we got from youtube (no stems) to sound good with vocals
That’s Impossible. You can’t mix an mp3. You need stems to mix individual instruments. Otherwise you’re just adjusting volumes.
IAMLXGEND or like eq it? Like this dude but on Mobil ua-cam.com/video/K3OW6-WUWVo/v-deo.html
How‘s the finished song called? 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Lights. But it’s not out.
