Kia Ceed SW 2.0 CRDI 140HP from 2009, now 402.093km. I drive in motorways 1.000km/week. At 110km/h it does 5.2L/100km, at 120km/h it does 5.8L/100km. Mayor issue was refrigerating pump change with 220.000km. It is a real motoway car that nowadays can easily reach over 180km/h and climb 4% uneven over 140km/h. The best car I have owned over WW Polo 1.2 1989, Ford Scorpio 2.5TDi 1995, and Renault laguna 1.9dti 2001.
It's a good car. I had no major issues with it, and I have the 2009 SW 1,6 93 Kw model. but... just yesterday my powerstearing stopped working and I have 2 lights on the dash. But leaving this asside, no issies at all. True, the first model has a hard suspension.
Common problems: roof light plastics crack, crankshaft position sensor fail, dashboard cracks, steering column needs a cheap rubber piece replace, squeaky noise from back and clutch fork but this is not a problem.
Same here. I have replaced 2 brand new OEM thrust bearing and after 2 weeks it started to squeak. Is beginning to go away after 6 months. The original from the factory (10 years) was better.
I have a 2009 Kia Ceed. The radio is the different from yours. The problem is taht after removing the USB to add new songs, the raio doesn't continue from the last song before turning off the car, but always from the first song. Can someone help?
@@richardfowler9901 True. But it was a memory stick problem. Put a new USB stick in it and work perfect. The radio is perfect. I just drove 960 Km today with the car and I'm super pleased with it. Bought in 2017 and no problems with it. For it's age... that is gold
Same here. If your car is from 2008 or 2009 is the first revision and are know to fail after 10 years. The second rev is a better version, has a longer case and better electronics. Just replaced mine 4 month ago and the difference is night and day. Don't buy second hand first rev. To see the difference, look at the steering shaft where it exists the case. The area where a bearing is bigger and longer then the first Rev.
The first model where the shaft exits the housing, the bearing housing is closer to the internal comp. On the later rev, that area is much beefier, and longer@@roulaxara5377

I read that the ride is a bit bumpy sometimes and perhaps noisy. Is that true?

Yes the rubber mount that sits in the steering motor, fun to fit!!!!!!

I think there is a 2.0 or 2.2L version. Mine is 1,6 petrol 126 Hp and feels like needs a 6th gear
