(Kearny, NJ to Harrisburg, PA)
Green Frog Productions, Ltd., and Neff Video Productions, present this extended version of cab ride Mail 3. The program begins at South Kearny, NJ and ends at Harrisburg Yard. This program was made in cooperation with Consolidated Rail Corporation and was created in early 1998.
Mail 3 (Kearny, NJ to East St. Louis) receives the highest priority and travels over the Passiac and Harismus, Lehigh, Reading, and Harrisburg lines.
Travel by Oak Island Yard, NK tower, over Amtrak's Northeast Corridor and through the Musconetcong tunnel. See trains from PATH, New Jersey Transit, Canadian Pacific and Conrail. Watch the train receive orders from a temporary block station at Sheridan on the Harrisburg Line.

As a railfan who's lived in New Jersey his whole life, I must say this looks fascinating. After seeing many of these locations under Norfolk Southern ownership, it's great to go back, and see what it was like when Conrail was still around. I was born in December of '96 so I would have been an infant during the time this was filmed.
Very good CR cab ride
Tho it's on the wrong end of the system from me, I still enjoyed the ride and the look back. I liked the Conrail 4 letter symbols much better than today's NS version.

You see pretty much see the whole trip on the mainline. Love that RS3L horn Conrail was noted for.

I bought this DVD and showed it to my friend who's also into trains. Needless to say it was quite a journey. I got a lot of validation from it, specifically through seeing all the crossings between Kearny and Harrisburg. Is this the only Conrail cab ride you have on video available in unedited form?
