Welcome to the Queendom! Always room for more Warriors and Weirdos!
Should really checkout her live performances. That's where she really shines the brightest.

A lot of Aurora's music is about the environment and humanity's relationship with nature. She also writes about much darker themes but in a way that doesn't feel heavy to listen to. I highly recommend the KEXP Iceland mini concert. Welcome to the queendom!

"Winter Bird" is an older one but definitely one of my favorites. Check out "The Seed"and you'll get a better glimpse of her relation to nature.

This is one of the few Aurora songs that I actually recommend the official music video. This and "The Seed" should experienced through the video and studio recording. For everything else, I'd recommend the live studio performances.

    Very nice reaction🤗
And you’re absolutely right about your interpretation of the song👍
Aurora loves nature and mother earth, she spent a lot of time alone in the forest growing up💕
So many of her songs are about that, but also so much more.
A little funny story from when she worked with Chemical Brothers:
“I just got an email one beautiful day in 2017 and it said, ‘Hello this is Tom and I like your music, your words and I would love for you to write something with us for our next album’.
I don’t really care much about who people are, but it was the only time I’ve had a *gasp* moment in my life, because I don’t really get starstruck either. I was really excited, and I had to wait like a week because I had to pick the right words for my answer to explain how happy I was so they’d know how much I wanted to be part of their music.
AURORA continued: “Then I went to his house and forgot to order a hotel so I got to stay in his attic. It was beautiful. His daughter had a birthday, so I was kind of crashing her party so I said ‘No, it’s OK - I will go out for a walk in the woods while you celebrate. But I was out for like five hours and they were really worried. There’s no reception there so they couldn’t call me, so I think I made the birthday worse. I was out in the forest in the night and it was really dark too and I just disappeared. I came back with twigs in my hair.”
    That’s Aurora❤️
    I know you’ve got some great suggestions👍
Looking forward to your next Aurora reaction😍😍

Lill, yess, that´s so much her! Of course she came back with twigs, probably also moss on her shoes. :) Another tidbit of info: She doesn´t drive cars, because she says she would be a danger for others, but she loves to ride bikes and is very good at it.

Aurora herself has said that she wrote this song during the blood moon in 2014. Imagining that the moon turns all of the people into wild animals, connecting with nature, removing ourselves from the toxicity of technology 😊

Thank you so much for your great reaction to this masterpiece 🙏🥰 Your analyze of the lyrics were spot on! Her lyrics are usually very deep and her live performances often even better than her music videos. My favorite live performance is "Through the eyes of a child" from the Nidarosdomen concert, a beautiful cathedral in Norway. But there are so many amazing performances, so I will be happy for anyone 🤩💖

I would recommend "Lucky" live in Nidarosdomen and also a "All Is Soft inside" live from KEXP 2018 (there is also "Churchyard" from the same mini concert). Generally she has a lot of great songs = other recommendations are also great :P.
And about the song. She has great lyrics in her songs but also in the same time usual open for interpretation. This one in my interpretation is about breaking free from technology, maybe even civilization and/or society and be a little more with nature which we forget nowadays and it has good effect on us. We should try to have balance between civilization and nature. Wolf symbolize freedom, city represent technology/civilization, the area around city can symbolize what effect civilization has on nature (like wasteland), wires can represent our connection with technology/civilization - we used to it and it hard to break free from them nowadays (I guess the same the man in the car). I also love how she move like a trapped wolf and how she is calm on the end - like a contrast. Also love how she sings wolves like howling.
It is generally great song and great video :).

Aurora is a very special artist and human, or maybe wood elf?... just kiddin ;) She is one of the greatest song-writers (100+ songs and counting) of our times. My favorite artist next to Angelina. Yes, try out live versions now, because she is so expressive. Difficult to say which one, even which version, because she can perform one and the same song so differently.

I definitely agree with going with older stuff first, lets you see her progression as an artist, which is something special :) You nailed it with your interpretation of the song. Nature is a recurring theme with her and she's made several songs dedicated to saving and protecting it. I recommend checking out Murder Song at the Nobel Peace Prize concert :) Thank you for this reaction.

She's not like anyone else, is she? Like Angelina Jordan, she has a unique and captivating sound. The Norwegians are doing something right over there. If you want to know what she is really about, check out The Seed. It is at the core of who she is. This is the best version IMO ua-cam.com/video/_Mc_OM5oNA8/v-deo.html
She also does a fantastic cover of Bowie's Life on Mars, here ua-cam.com/video/kJ095S0MmnA/v-deo.html

Youre a Warrior and a Weirdo now😂. I can see youre hoocked on to her.
She’s a defender and warrior for the free spirit, the right to love, nature and a feminist. The Seed is chilling.. and her singing with Wardruna live in old Norse. ( they had most of the music to Vikings)powerful!💪🏽🙏🏼

Not for you to react to necessarily, but here is a live version so you can get a sense of her performing on a song you've already seen a video of. She is fantastic! She is very kinetic singer, letting the song inhabit her whole body, which most find wonderful and a few will find distracting. Enjoy! ua-cam.com/video/5skBr_96dPc/v-deo.html

The movie I have in my mind for this one. Gahh. She escaped from a "utopia" were she was a mindless droid, but human. He is her keeper and cares for her though he shouldn't. He knows she will die when not connected to the hive anymore. Yeah, and I'm a Star Trek fan also, lol. Well then... I will not make any money on my film, but who cares 😁

Please stick to her live performances. She sings very much in the moment, so every performance is different. Different sums her up, each song, the way she sees the world. Her lyrics are always powerful but open to interpretation. She rarely gives her interpretation and prefers the listener to make their own choices.
The Concert at Nidarosdomen is a masterpiece. The two songs "Lucky" and "Trough the Eyes of a Child" are not to be missed.
