The game-over music at 18:20 has been my phone's ringtone for the last 15 years. When I was 5-8 years old, I would get game-over and then fall asleep listening to the music. This whole soundtrack is just awesome.
Yeah, this was one of my favorites growing up. Pity it will never show up on any virtual console or compilation because Lucasfilm and its owners at Disney want to pretend the movie never existed :)
I have my final password still... in the dirt sleeve with the game. It wasn't perfect, there was at least one non-essential item I was missing, but it had me at the entrance of Nockmaar Castle. I pretty much have the path through the area to the end memorized via muscle memory. I loved playing this game, and still do.
Used to watch my grandmother play this game all the time. Then I started playing it myself when I got a little older. Definitely one of my all time favorites. I always loved the soundtrack. I think Zhena' s Theme is probably my favorite song from the game, but Nockmaar Castle is a close second. Did they loud noise the game makes when Willow dies scare the shit out of anyone else? It used to make me jump when I was little. Haha.
Loved this game so much when I was younger, still do! thought it was really neat that you could see all the different kinds of items and swords and shields, and spells!
CelesStrife Greetings Earthling! 👋👽 Lol This is one of the few games that was developed quite well based on a movie. This soundtrack is great and the movie was amazing. 👍
I love this soundtrack. It's such a fantastic game too. The damn soundtrack is just beautiful from beginning to end....I just can't say enough about it.
was an epic game reminded me of zelda and old FF original days but was very hard as well why alot of people didnt like these games. The challenge level was so high it would take people very adept to these kind of games but i think your right for what they did have to work with :P 8 bit though i mean come on these games set the tone for epic games later.
I always thought they should have made a sequel to the movie, and this game's basic story (sans the Razel vs Bavmorta - [sp] probably) would have made a solid movie, maybe more Hobbit style (the book that is, or the superior second movie) than like the original. I heard the Willow sequels in book form were really quite lackluster.
most kids now days dont even know what the fuck a nintendo is :P but im proud i do and i still play mine some of the games today just dont have the heart and soul the 8 bits had even though they were primitive tech wise.
In 2009 I got an Nes for christmas with Zelda, Zelda 2, Mario, Duckhunt, Exitebike, Bayou Billy, Milon's castle, Jurrasic park, Fester's quest, Airwolf, Skyshark, Cobra command, Gradius, Jaws, and finally Willow. Best year of my LIFE.
Dude. This my MOM we're talking about. She BURNED my copy of Fallout 3 (just recently, actually) She doesn't screw around. And if I tryed to emulate the game, then its gonna be bad if she finds out.
Aaron Stits Greetings Earthling! 👋👽 So have you formulated a solution to your Willow issue? The poor game was a victim to the Hammer 🔨.. Sad way to go... Poor willow and may be rest in pieces.. Lol 😄
I don't know if it's the awakening, but to me that soundtrack is totally insane, from the "prolouge" to the end, it sounds like IT WANT TO KILL MY BRAIN ! (I hate "town" above all) R.I.P Willow players mental health.

Oh wow
One of those few movie based games that were actually good. And the movie, even more badass.
Yeah, this was one of my favorites growing up. Pity it will never show up on any virtual console or compilation because Lucasfilm and its owners at Disney want to pretend the movie never existed :)
@@The_Wandering_Nerd There's a sequel coming out on Disney Plus next year . . .
"Few"? Far from it.
Stop there were many movie based games that were awesome
Actually back then movie and another media based games were high quality.
This, Rygar and River City Ransom are my favorite NES games. I could still play those right now.
They achieved something artistic with this game to the movie and the soundtrack is forever chiselled into my brain.

Who would have thought a video game based on Willow would have been good! All thanks to Capcom!
Although, the arcade version from Capcom (side-scrolling) was actually pretty good, too. But agreed -- this game kicked tons of ass.
Nokmoor castle soundtrack is amazing . Still mystifying to this day !

The random encounters made me jump *every time*, at least until I figured out the pattern.
I love listening to old game music I used to listen to a ton like 20 years ago
I loved this soundtrack so much! It's as epic as I remember. Thanks for uploading this one!

I was 9 and this or little nemo
that world theme tho!
The world theme is not very good.
Its fond memories for me.
me too
Many memories, many memories indeed.
The tune at 2:18 is "The Theme of A Summer Place".
Which Nintendo and Hudson stole it.
@@DonkeykongSw2 No, That's a license song.
I just transported back 😍😌
2:18 sounds like Theme From a Summer Place.
That’s correct! You won a grand prize! Listen to this!
ua-cam.com/video/GJN-tZnLdcY/v-deo.html
That’s exactly what I thought too
it is but in an 8bit nintendo sound chip
Classic under rated game in the NES library.
Exhilarating enchanted 8-bit masterpiece.
Such an underrated game IMHO.
Definitely a gem in any eyes of a hardcore rpgamer!
This is my childhood put into a game cartridge.
10:03, best track in the game imo :)
I do wonder though, is it based on a classical piece of music? Please tell if you know :)
Joachim Ruud y do u only hav one like I appreciate this comment
13:29 who agrees that thid might be the best music of all nes games, it sounds even better on the pal cartridge because its slower :D
Check out the Double dragon NES soundtrack. It’s got some killer songs.
Check out silver surfer on nes, Shit ass game but wow that music!
Capcom. Oh Capcom. Why is everything you make so good?
Zhena's theme
Same composer and sound programmer of mega man 2 - Takashi Tateishi
a game nothing like the movie.....................and im fine with that :v
There were similar plot elements, if nothing else. Good enough for me.
5:39 This is the most dear to me!
I love this soundtrack. It's such a fantastic game too. The damn soundtrack is just beautiful from beginning to end....I just can't say enough about it.
My friend saw me playing it and he said it reminded him of Skyrim somehow
This game (and soundtrack) is so much better than the new series.
Fuck yes.
I swear 5:40 could have been used in Godzilla:Monster of Monsters

Huzzah! Another great soundtrack by Capcom!
Haha awesome man. I did that with that boss music from Bayou Billy (forgot the japanese name, something city)
mad city

Hey if you take request. Can you do Amagon for the nes?
I remember when my butt-face older brother used to play this game when I was a kid. You never forget the music from a game like this!
You can probably say this was Capcom's entrance to RPG's before Breath of Fire.
+H.Brandt Destiny of an Emperor?
most kids now days dont even know what the fuck a nintendo is :P but im proud i do and i still play mine some of the games today just dont have the heart and soul the 8 bits had even though they were primitive tech wise.
+Daniel Zavesky I totally agree.! :)
If they touched a legit NES controller, they would get lost in the sauce easy

Good movie, good game. Boxart is a little messed up :/
Nitrobotti Looks good to me and colors are smooth and vibrants.
I thought it looked nice
Greeti gs Earthlings! I am here to abduct the 3 individuals that gave this a thumbs down. 👉👽👈
2:20
This game is a gem of a action rpg. To bad Capcom didn't get to make more movie based games instead of LJN.
I miss this game so much, when I was 11 my mom forced me to smash the game with a hammer because you could use magic. I'm still pissed up to this day.
Emulate it
Dude. This my MOM we're talking about. She BURNED my copy of Fallout 3 (just recently, actually) She doesn't screw around. And if I tryed to emulate the game, then its gonna be bad if she finds out.
Move out
Can't. I don't turn 18 until 2020.
Aaron Stits Greetings Earthling! 👋👽 So have you formulated a solution to your Willow issue? The poor game was a victim to the Hammer 🔨.. Sad way to go... Poor willow and may be rest in pieces.. Lol 😄
Deltarune omg..
no po?
I'm here because of the lovely Danial Y. Sexbang.
Game Grumps?
Which episode?, I love that guy
ECWllo....ah FAIL! But awesome soundtrack.
