I don't know if it's the base, the stab, or the keycaps, but I love the sound of the stabilizer here, better than the ciy 64 videos. I can still hear ticking in the ciy 64 videos.
I think it should be the Switches, they lubed and really smooth
To see that the tester84 coming in at a mere $40 for a kit that includes plate foam and a pre-cut silicone dampener as well as the case being half alu dang. Video is great as ever!

I think this will be the cheapest gasket mounted keyboard ever
The design & build quality is very similar to the kbd67 lite so it's a pretty good steal

this barebone kit need much mod? I see its already having the silicon damper and pe form for the PCB, seems quite enough, looking to build with boba u4t and xda keycaps would be a good fit?

I think the tester 84 has a metal top frame and the Novice is just plastic
Do KTT Grapefruits and AKKO CS Matcha Greens have the interference issue on Cherry Profile keycaps?
For akko no, but KTT has interference when it's north facing
May need some mod.. that sound looks sharp. Maybe add some e foam

That depends on the shape of your switch housing, but most switches will have interference

Honestly it's kinda hard to find the software, but it should be available to find after some Reddit/ googling. I don't even remember

No keycap interference with the North facing LED ? 🤔 Since I know GMK/Cherry profile keycaps doesn't work very nicely together

From what I could find is that this keyboard is also "semi" programable, trough firmware.
though CIY does not advertise this, there are a few firmware versions out there for the TES84.

Yes for wired and no can't be changed

Yes they all fit, any cherry MX style switches will fit

Yeap there are multiple colours now, tbh DK84 and this is almost the same, just depends if you like an aluminium top or plastic
