For all those who think Joyce Meyer does not teach prosperity, you are sadly mistaken. Just read the affirmations on her website.

      @TheAegis1000 16 годин тому +1

All scriptural ... I don't understand the problem. Is there a problem with encouraging oneself with scripture ?
Are these affirmations any different than what Paul says in Galatians 2:20 ???
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live. Yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)
      ... or in Philippians 4 ???
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)
      ... or Romans 8 ???
I am more than a conqueror through Him who loved me. (Romans 8:37)
Going down the "I can command God" rabbit-hole is surely wrong, but let's not throw out the baby with the bathwater. Shall we not strive to see ourselves as God sees us (His children) ?
On edit, ... It is needful for me to say that my list of affirmations would be somewhat different than Joyce's ... AND that I would use somewhat different scriptural supports.

I’ve also heard the “deliverance” ministries are big there. Like asserting that if you have a problem, you’ve got a demon. Has that been true in your experience? I’m not saying demons don’t exist or that they don’t attack people, but I don’t believe that the majority of problems come from demons.

We should never give to be blessed. With a joyful heart we give because we are blessed. Not only in a church, but wherever there is a need for us to give. As led by God's Spirit. To the glory of God. It doesn't matter how much or how little. All that matters to God is the motives in our hearts as to why we are giving. He loves a cheerful giver. Who gives not just to receive.
I lost my son when he was 8 yrs old. I never blamed God. As painful as it was and 12 yrs later still is, He is all I have who helps me endure. Without Him there would be no me today. I need Him. I have peace now living in this life without my son. I know He will restore my joy beyond measure when we are together with Him in a kingdom where death has no dominion nor power. A life of eternal rest in Christ. He keeps me alive. And fills the void that death put within me on January 24, 2012. The day my whole life changed for the worse. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord 🙌

It’s funny how people want to claim reaping and sowing for material blessings but don’t want to consider the law when it comes to our behavior. As Hosea 8:7 says, “For they sow to the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind.” You go around sowing destruction and heresy, you reap wrath and death unless you repent. I am so glad I was saved from this, and I’m praying for those still caught up in these cults.

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. It's terrifying to think how many people truly believe that they are true followers of God and when it's too late they will find out that they are not. I can think of nothing more terrifying.

I found it very disturbing and high-tailed out of there when some of the people going up to the front were throwing up. When I messaged the pastor and apologized for leaving the service early and why I did he explained that was part of the service and called it supernatural healing of some sort. NEVER went back.

As for decreeing/declaring, I believe Job 22:27-28 (KJV) has the answer to that. There is the prayer part, as well as the declaring part. Does it mean that everything we declare will come to pass? No. But that doesn't render declarations invalid either. If you declare according to the Will of God then it will surely come to pass because it is God that brings what you declare to pass, not you.

I couldn't do what I do in this ministry if I didn't have those private jets." There appears to be a fine line between using the wealth to further God's kingdom and heaping it on themselves (mansions, cars, expensive jewelry, etc.) I enjoy watching David Diga Hernandez's videos because he really does have so much word, but he says he believes in speaking in tongues as a "prayer language" and being slayed in the spirit. It's unfortunate.

I don’t believe tongues are wrong. We never get a clear answer on if spiritual gifts have ceased. However, I believe they can happen.
However, you have people who will fake it to look more righteous than others and not follow how Paul said to do interpretation. The idea also is to not say tongues are required for Salvation. They are not. It’s just a gift that can come from the Holy Spirit.
Do I believe a whole church needs to be screaming in tongues? Nope. But if you believe it is true, let others test it.

She has also written over 140 books so that’s where she gets her income. Yes she lets us know that God wants to bless us and that includes financially but that doesn’t mean she’s a prosperity preacher. She very often talks about how she lived in poverty and prayed for towels. Or how she used coupons to get chicken. Or was going to be 40 dollars short monthly on her bills. She talks about how she was so afraid to leave her job because of that and ended up fired because God told her to focus on other things. She has is not a prosperity preach but a Bible teacher. God wants us to prosper even as our souls prospers. If you look at Joyce’s website also look at how many missions she supports and created. Lord, let the truth be told and set the captives free. May those who caused this unnecessary loss be humbled and changed and corrected. Shake them up and flip it down. Not in our anger, but in your justice. May they forgive themselves but never forget what lies and hautiness can do. That we never speak out of turn but lead by The Holy Spirit. I was in a hyper charismatic movement about 10 years ago. I was very in tune with the Holy Spirit and God used me in the prophetic gifting very strongly. I started noticing that people were seeking me out for the gift asking “does God have a word for me”. But I don’t control the gift, it’s God’s choice to give someone a specific message through me. Anyways, God revealed to me that some secret sexual sin (sleeping with multiple women in the group) was happening with the leader and told me to expose the secret sin and to stop going. I exposed the sin and stopped going.

I didn’t work a 6 figure job, run my own business, I didn’t have a wife and children, no college degrees, etc. Now I have a lot of things competing for my time and attention that I have to balance out and cut out some things. That is until we went to one of those meetings and he was declared healed of his diabetes and told to throw away his medications. He obeyed and several days later his blood sugar spiked and he nearly collapsed into our glass coffee table. Paul wrote in the New Testament that there is no wealth in teaching and preaching the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Does a minister have a career outside of preaching is one thing. Places of worship are or should be run by elders with the assistance of deacons. The elders pay ministers if they so agree. Ministers or Bishops don't manage the affairs of the congregation.

I'm gonna just say it. A shoe is something you have on your feet to walk on. A hand bag is just a thing you carry belongings in. A watch is just something that tell you what time it is (well not smart watches but u know what I mean). A car is just something you need to get from A to B safely.
A good everyday shoe cost $100-200. If you're spending $1000 on a pair of shoes, if you want to spend $1000-5000 or more on a handbag, YOU ARE NOT handling your money right. I understand it feels good to have nice things. And there's nothing wrong with having nice things. But there's a line that should not be crossed. What does that spendy handbag give you that you didn't have before? At the end of the day - only a slimmer bank account. The same goes for the shoes. And everything else.
This sounds a bit jugdemental. I don't mean to be. I'm just saying if you think you need 1000 bucks shoes and hand bag to feel alright, you're searching in the wrong place! I myself would enjoy a corvette c5. I have wanted one since the first time I saw it. Things are beautiful to look at. Doesn't mean it needs to be in my garage for me to feel good about myself. Nah. That money is needed elsewhere.
We must not becomes so individualistic that we don't help others with their needs. If you find yourself tending mostly to your own cravings and needs and instead could've used your riches or talents to bless others - that's a sign you need to maybe examine what's happening.

Probably 20 years in the hyper charismatic, prosperity, and new age Christian movement. I did not even know there was a difference. I started seeing some of it when I took my kids to a bigger church that had a good kids program. But rejected the teachings that went against what I already believed. Fast forward. My kids are mostly grown and I start looking for a new church. I am trying lots over the years but never fitting in. Then bam! Covid hit. So I am forced to watch church on UA-cam. We'll I never cared for UA-cam before. Well while I was exploring churches on there I ran into Alan Parr then Mike Winger and heard some of there teaching and would get so angry at them because they were so wrong. But I loved the other things I was learning. But little by little I realized I knew nothing and had almost no truth in me. So I had to start over from scratch and relearn. Yo might wonder why I didn't see it in the Bible....well they are very good at pulling verses out of context and teaching in ways that sound Biblical. YOU HAVE TO BE ABLE TO STUDY THE BIBLE ON YOUR OWN. It is important to have many teachers as well. But if you do not truly know your Bible, you can be decieved. Now I am learning about all the different Christian beliefs. There is so much out there. But I can say with a high level of confidence, that if you are at a church with lots of prophesy, tongues, healing, drunk or stoned in the Holy Spirit, ro self proclaimed apostles. You are in a false church.

But it seems like when you start down this road it's hard not to move on to deeper falsehoods like Dominionism and the New Apostolic Reformation. The problem is in the roots of the movement and the fruits.
When I got involved in this, I started researching it (I shlould've done this first!) and it needs to be said, there is no bottom, it just gets worse. And where it's leading is no better. Honestly, with all the emotional and psychological manipulation that went on, it was like being in a cult.

Healing was not guaranteed by the death of Jesus? Can we all think of one instance in the Bible where a person met Jesus for healing and was denied? Even the Syrophoenician woman got what she wanted in the end. Heb. 11:6 says we must believe that God rewards those who diligently seek Him. That is faith.
Almost everyone in the world faces problems but as Christians our solutions are in God. God wants us to depend on Him that's why "give us this day our daily bread" is in the Lord's prayer.

Can you think of one instance in the New Testament when Jesus healed a person that was after his death? So he was healing before he died. Ergo his death didn't pay for healing. He died for our sins so we could have eternal life. And when he did his healing ministry he quoted the verse in Isaiah 53 before the one that says by his stripes we are healed. It's probably worded slightly differently when you read the Old Testament because he is quoting from the septuagent version

I believe that Kenneth Copeland may have once taught that ( and possibly Benny Hinn( maybe only in the past) , but I have listened to many other people you mention such as Joyce Meyer and Kenneth Hagin and Bill Johnson and have many times heard them say
‘READ MY LIPS, I AM NOT SAYING THAT WE ARE LITTLE GOGDS’
And I have listened to many ‘warnings’ like yours which end up being dishonest about these teachers, twisting THEIR words whilst accusing them of that exact wrong.

Hi, I saw your question and I just wanted to let you know what I do, not that I am an expert. God loves us so very much and as we know He knows our hearts and our thoughts. If we purely wanting to express that love of what Christ did for us there's nothing wrong with that or the actual sacraments you would use. Consideration for what is available at your home. Example if you only have a potato chip and Kool aid it's acceptable even if you wouldn't have a mind to do so. But if the urge is that great and that's all you have.. When I started doing it I went through Matthew, Mark and Luke to get the best verbage to use or you may use your own. My church uses the little juice and crackers that are packaged together so they let me have some for personal use. My pastor thought it was a great idea. I pray that you talk it over with God and that would be my only suggestion for you..pray about it. Know also it is not offensive to God. And I am quite sure you will feel and be blessed by this amazing and beautiful decision that you have made. And I will go one step further and say that I truly believe God already laid that on your heart, soul and mind. May the God of all Glory overrun you with His blessings of love, joy, abundance, patience and peace. May He chase you down with goodness and kindness. In the Mighty the Powerful and the Holy name of Jesus, Amen 🙏🙏🙏

Mike Winger has a video on it, but I haven't watched it, he answers in detailed ways so it will help you.
The communion is simply to join with other believers continually remember Jesus and what he did for our salvation on the cross and look forward to his coming.
The unworthy way was people turning up to church and using it like some kind of party in the Bible. A pastor I saw online, tells people to drink the holy communion of financial breakthrough and health... Drinking it for any other reason then remembrance of what Jesus did for our salvation, that's the unworthy part.
Non Christians can't take it either, they don't believe in Jesus, they don't believe in salvation. Actually rather than they can't take it, it's not like what are they remembering and who are they waiting for?
It's taken regularly, because humans can forget God as we get busy in life, (that's why things like pray without ceasing is adviced) most churches do it once a month, you could do it with your family or by yourself.

Prosperity gospel exposes what people really want. They dont want God they want the gifts seperate from him. They want money and power.
You cant be decieved by what you dont want.

I think that beyond the word of god.. a healthy dose of critical thinking would help most Christians. In the absence of someone who can clearly break the tie on a lot of these issues you need to be able to base your beliefs on what is objectively real. Despite this being a well made video there will be someone in the comments and someone who makes a video about how these two fine individuals got this wrong

*The wisest thing that should be on everyone's mind currently should be to invest in different streams of income that don't depend on the government. Especially with the current economic crisis around the world. This is still a good time to invest in gold, silver, and digital currencies (BTC, ETH...)*

I believe that your experience in the Charismatic movement ... is quite similar to that of Joyce Meyer, who you feature in your thumbnail. She has a past affiliation ... but has come out of it. I'd counsel updating your knowledge of Joyce Meyer's current positions.

I agree. She has even repented of how she used to preach and believe. She talks about how she names her books certain ways so people will think it's about how they can be better or whatever, but once you start reading it she clearly says we can do nothing without Christ. She doesn't preach prosperity as far as I have heard in the past couple decades at least. People always bring up past things she has taught that she has repented and corrected herself on.

This is why it's important for believers and followers of Christ Jesus to study (2 Tim. 2:15)God's Word and not just be locked into whoever you follow for a Sunday sermon.
And above all, be filled with The Holy Spirit because He will guide you into all truth (John 16:13)
Thanks for this teaching of clarity!
