Thanks for sharing, I will probably try this on some mulberry trees, just because it's what I have abundantly both cultivated varieties and a few highly vigorous wild trees. One of which I have cut down to 1 ft in height multiple different years during dormancy and it always gets the canopy about 15+ft tall before entering dormancy again. If this graft takes I'm sure it would only take a year or 2 to go from pencil sized to the size of my wrist.

@@pittilinster7526 well i had a couple grafts break after a storm, and a couple survived, so i added a couple more bud grafts and forgot about it for maybe 5 months now, i have branches from the wild mulberry, grafts from the pakistan and black mulberry, and they all have whips/branches taller than the house again. Some grafts are better than others, but one was seamless, bark just changes color past the graft. Hopefully fruit next season!

Can you use this grafting method for persimmons or better to use a bark graft?

You know if it will work also with walnut (Juglans regia)?
    Thanks for the Video!

Would you suggest this graft for other fruit trees. Are there any particular situations you'd recommend using this grafting technique?

Can this withstand wind after a few years when top branches grow bigger

Good question! I was watching another video (about another grafting type), and they said that the key to long term strength was the new grafted tree putting down several new layers of wood, because they said that the existing inner layers of wood from the scion and rootstock dont actually connect, its only the new layers of wood they grow together which connect them going forward. I thinking this graft here would be strong because it would be symetrical, but im not sure.
