Nothing needs to be done but adding power to the terminal that the
    thermocouple attaches to.
The thermocouple is unplugged and is not use in this case.
I am going to add a switch and led to turn power off when not in use.

The positive side of the battery is soldered to the thermocouple side of the tilt switch.
The ground I put under the tilt switch (grounded to frame) using the screw that holds the switch.
I left the thermocouple disconnected, but I am going to try hooking up the thermocouple also
and adding a switch to shut off the battery power when the thing heats up after about 5 minutes.
So far with a fully charged battery, I can use up a 1 lb. tank of fuel.
When I am not using the heater, I pull the battery out because it will always have a charge to the
      electromagnet thus draining the battery.
Also, note that if for some reason the flame goes out on the burner and the pilot, the gas valve will
stay open when the battery is hooked up.
      Hope this helps.

I have used a lighter or long match to light heater if it is too cold. Seems like less trouble.

This is a great hack. But do you have a more detailed explanation of where you hook the battery into. Thank you.
