Little Buddy Heater Hack
Переглядів 7 тис.3 роки тому
Check out other's vids for removing the case' Nothing needs to be done but adding power to the terminal that the thermocouple attaches to. The thermocouple is unplugged and is not use in this case. I am going to add a switch and led to turn power off when not in use.

    Probably the best hack ever would like to see how you did it

      The positive side of the battery is soldered to the thermocouple side of the tilt switch. The ground I put under the tilt switch (grounded to frame) using the screw that holds the switch. I left the thermocouple disconnected, but I am going to try hooking up the thermocouple also and adding a switch to shut off the battery power when the thing heats up after about 5 minutes. So far with a fully charged battery, I can use up a 1 lb. tank of fuel. When I am not using the heater, I pull the battery out because it will always have a charge to the electromagnet thus draining the battery. Also, note that if for some reason the flame goes out on the burner and the pilot, the gas valve will stay open when the battery is hooked up. Hope this helps.

    I have used a lighter or long match to light heater if it is too cold. Seems like less trouble.

    Great video, love the way they look on there,. Wish Honda would have done something like this from the factory with out spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars.

    This is a great hack. But do you have a more detailed explanation of where you hook the battery into. Thank you.

    Nice job. I am looking for ideas on making doors for a 2008 Artic Cat prowler. I need to find enough plexa glass for top of my doors. I like your idea on your doors

    How is the power? I’ve heard mixed reviews.

    • @tscan100
      @tscan100 4 роки тому

      Now quite sure what you're asking. Has plenty of power, I drag trees 12" in diam. and 16ft. long. as far as speed, I had it up to 40 mph once but I usually drive it under 25.

    • @tscan100
      @tscan100 4 роки тому

      I guess it depends what you are looking for or what you will be using it for. I find it has lots of power. great low end . Not a speed demond. I rarely go over 25 mph. Used for hauling firewood, moving small campers "2000"lbl. dragging trees out of woods. Where I use it its rough, speed not an option. I like it, as of 8/24/2020 I have 5500 miles on it and had no problems. I change the oil regularly. I like the fact that it is easy to work on, not much junk in the way of doing anything. This is a 2017 model. The paddle shifters are really nice.

    Yes, the door rattle is fixed by the rubber bumper which can be screwed out to give more tension on the door.The other squeak is from the latch on the dump bed (metal on metal ). I fixed this by wrapping duct tape around the latch but it only lasts so long. I also tried plastic tubing to cover the lug but it also wears.All in all I really like the machine, (automotive style trans)

      Both bed latches are adjustable. I fixed mine, no problem. You give the pioneer a bad look with all those rattles. Bad video.

    Take lots of pictures because it will never be that clean again. That door rattle will get irritating after a while. I fixed mine.
