This helped alot. I am mother of three with no background in electrical work. I do alot of DIY projects and this was one of them. I did turn the main breaker off, but the rest of the video was very very helpful and explain everything perfectly. Thank you😁
I noticed the installer cut right through the power feed. I saw another video where they recommend turning off the power at the panel before cutting or it may blow a fuse. Was the power off for this video?
@@01mymichi I found out that they install only for “cable”. You have to buy the upgraded one and install it. It’s was close to 750.00. I said to heck with it.
Thank you for the video. Can I use the Winegard with my Verizon service? I bought a hotspot today for internet in my new Cougar. Could you explain how to set it up? Is there a service fee for using Winegard or will it just act as a booster for my hotspot? Sorry, I'm a newbie!
Yes you can use the Winegard with your Verizon service. Your Winegard is a gateway. Adding a sim card to it makes it a hotspot and that would be all that you need. So you do not need to have the additional hotspot you purchased. Yes there is a service fee for using Winegard, their website provides more information about their plans with Verizon. I have the solar package and want to install the winegard gateway. Since I do not need the on/off switch I am not certain how to proceed Do I just connect the three wires? What about the power to the router. Your video isn't clear. Thanks.
My RV came equipped with the Winegard 360+ antenna, a 220w solar panel, and a battery cut-off switch. Looks like my installation or the router SHOULD be a breeze.
The switch isn’t always necessary, it’s more of a “if you want to ever shut it off you can” switch. Just like your home you would rarely ever switch your router off. So it’s not really needed, but could be installed if you’d like.

Thank you guys so much! This video saved me from a trip to the dealer to have it installed.

You can just cut through one wire at a time and not cut through both wires at the same time. It should only be 12 volt so it's not going to harm you.
I only see the green and white wires. 😭 So I’m still trying to figure out how to do this.
me too. No leads from my satelitte

I can’t find the antenna wires when I remove the cover
How do I know if I need to install on/off switch? It was included in router kit, but you guys didn’t do it on this install.

Tell Chris Logan Bob Arnold says hey!
Another video neglecting how to wire the power switch, the one reason I came.
