I imagine the lens will be a nice tool for landscape photography and really general photography. Sharp photos are always nice but I try not to get caught up in just thinking about sharpness. Modern lenses are a little too sharp at times but that’s just me. I’ll look forward to seeing what photos you can make with the lens in the future. You’re off to a good start. And it’s step up.
I'm really impressed with the lens. I've already used it for woodland photography (video out start of October), plus general photography. I agree regarding sharpness, nice for woodland, but I'm increasingly adding a little grain to some of my photos. There'll be plenty more videos with this lens across all genres of photography. I haven't even given a thought to my loss of focal length (from the 200mm).
Tough decision, I've never used the Tamron. A question of choosing between more focal length options or the faster 2.8 lens. I suspect the Nikon is lighter weight too ;) For my needs (Landscape, Urban & Travel) the Nikon is perfect.
Great shots, the lens looks really good, I can understand why you bought it. Thanks for sharing the photos.
Thank you 👍🏻
