Not gonna lie, the "why 1911s" video is so calming. Sometimes I just toss it on for background music. It's like mind yoga or something.

@@1911syndicate add that to the repertoire!!!! "Best holsters for yoga pants" coming up next!
@@1911syndicateThat’s a T shirt bro.
When you were talking about 1911s and making forging a knife, you perfectly explained why one day I would like to build a 1911 with my own hands. I know there was such a class available at one time, not so sure now though. Great video and list.
@@1911syndicate need info on the clothing drip pls
Bro! I just watched the 1911 video a couple nights ago and I was literally touched. I was raised on the 1911 by a father who spent time in Korea with a 1911 on his hip and he always instilled in me that if it’s not a .45 it ain’t shit and if it’s not a 1911 it’s lot a real .45. God love him. Miss you dad.
You referring to the Why 1911s video? That is one of my favorite videos of this channel...that was beautiful....made me appreciate the 1911 even more...glad I own a few...i still carry it after more that 15 years...
Glad you included the Beretta 92. Hard to imagine, but it seems under appreciated these days. It carries a lot of beauty and ingenuity in its design that is often overlooked. It has stood the test of time well.
Probably because the grip angle is had to get used to after shoots other guns with a better natural point.
That’s a new complaint about 92s to me.
Hated the M9 Beretta, carried it for years in the Navy and could/can/will likely outshoot anyone with one but the slide mounted safety/decocker is shit for ergonomics and use. The Taurus PT92AF is a far better unit for ease of use and was years ahead of the 92FS in so many ways.
@@RollingRigTraction The Taurus is built on the old Beretta platform... Beretta ruined their own design by moving the safety to the slide. The safety is one thing, but it always felt like a brick to me. I never liked the ergos... especially compared to a DA/SA CZ or Sig.
@@RollingRigTraction 💯 percent agree, and in the 80s and 90s the PT92 was built by people trained by Beretta with the same tooling that Beretta sold to Taurus.
Sig P226 should be on the list 😅 Agree about the Glock, revolver, and 1911 for sure
Yuck
I would remove the revolver or the 1911, and replace it with the P226. Otherwise, good list.
Honestly I was curious if that would be on here cause I’m thinking about a Mk25

11:08 Paul Harrell gave us the wisdom that we should always carry separate flashlights from our guns. Many situations that require a flashlight in public are NOT situations that you want to whip out your CCW.
So carry both?
Handheld lights are great, so is a two hand hold, sometimes you don't have both hands.
If you don't want a WML, don't get one.
Then practice with what you carry.

I’ll never forget my uncle who passed away this year, his gold cup he used to shot competition in the 80s for a while and I can still feeling that trigger and that weight and I fell in love the 1911. The Beretta 92 was my first gun in my collection that I bought simply for the nostalgia of it. For me it’s Martin Riggs’ gun. The one I found was a G model that has LAPD cage markings on the mags and had still working night sights for being a 2008 produced gun. The only thing I added to it were slim G10 grips, put in a Wilson Combat shortened trigger kit and removed the lanyard loop.
I was an LAPD officer for 32 years and retired now. When I was hired I was issued a S&W Model 67 4" 38 cal s/s revolver. Four years into my career the dept approved the 92fs for on or off duty use, and began to issue them to their recruits. If you had a revolver but wanted start carrying a 92fs, you had to buy your own and the dept would send you to the academy for training so you can transition over to the semi 92fs. And thats what I did,. I bought my own at the 92fs at store that is at the academy. Mine was an Italian made. I carried that 92 fs for on duty for 28 years. I, and every cop that I knew, loved their 92fs. I still have that 92fs to this day.
Been collecting firearms for over 45yrs and only own 2 off your list. Several 1911s and several Colt revolvers. I might buy a Beretta 92 someday to round out my US military pistol lineage collection.
Gun # 1 hurt my soul, but you recovered with #2.

VP9 was made for the civilian market.
That's why it's the VP9- Volks Pistale 9mm
People's pistol, 9mm
Is that why it’s HKs only pistol that had some teething issues after release?
Not exactly. The VP9 (or SFP9 in Germany) was build with the "Technische Richtlinie Polizeipistole 9x19mm" in Mind.
In Germany its one of the most used Police Pistols.
Only the SFP9 OR Match couldn't be used as a Service Pistol because of the Trigger which is to light for the TR Polizeipistole 😊

I own or have owned just about every pistol mentioned on the list. But, I think the Browning Hi-Power should be considered, I own an FEG Mod.GKk-45C which is a clone of the Hi-Power chambered in 45 ACP. I am not a fanboy of Glocks, had a 36 and traded it for a Ruger New Vaquero 45 long Colt. As far as Beretta, I have to go with the M9 it’s the military version of 92FS and it’s made in the US. And yes everyone should have a 1911. One of my 1911’s is a Kimber tactical pro ll my EDC. Great show , 1911 syndicate one of my favorite UA-cam channels.

Love the 1911 section! I own a CMP 1911 that was from WWII. Awesomeness! Great job Jake!
I have shot and trained with enough glocks to know they bore me and I don't see the need to own one.
H&K are like having Vegan options on a menu, I'm sure someone cares and I'm happy for them, I just don't care.
The two pistols my Dad carried when I was a kid was either a Dan Wesson in .357 or an old Army 1911 made in the 1940s.
The first pistol my Dad gave me to practice with and shoot local matches was a Taurus 92. So I have a soft spot for the 92s, either the Italian or the Brazilian.
I agree with you!
Eh... Ive owned 3 USPs, you can keep them. Ill substitute a Browning Buckmark for the HK slot.
Also not a huge fan of the 19. I have 4 currently, but I've always preferred the fullsize, or the subcompact size.
Im pretty ok with everything else...
The Glock my feelings as I have avoided them since their inception... Yes the VW will get me there and will start and run and everyone out of the box has shot dead-on. But, watching the impact on revolver carrying officers prematurely tapping a few bad-guys. I went with the S&W 645. When our Agency decided to finally go with an issued semi, it was the HK USP in .45 cal with lights, still have it (retirement benny) and still my fav. Striker took decades with a S&W Shield, as I avoided 9mm until then so I still need the 92F... The revolvers, S&W and Dan Wesson with a Ruger Black Powder US Army. Great clip and I agree with your logic.
First time watching your material. Great list of guns. Keep up the good work.

Glock is that girl who may not be prettiest but when you get her home she gets it done! In the morning you can take her out to breakfast and not be embarrassed to be seen with her!
Sig P320
I would replace the Glock with the spring field echelon, for $50-$100$ more you can get better sights, better grip, better texturing, better Magwell, gas pedal, take down level, ambidextrous, better slide release, trigger cuts for deeper grip, and if your lucky you can get a threaded barrel option. And if you wanna make a stock Glock to be the same as a stock echelon you have to throw hundreds of dollars at it, vs spending 50-100 bucks more and getting the echelon which comes with everything a modern day factory pistol should be.
And now my urge to own a 92FS is back. I mean it when I say thank you.
Thankfully, I don't care if others think of me as a gun guy or not based on what I own... I've got more trigger time than majority of those that would judge, and can probably outshoot them anyway. I'm more concerned with training than what gucci piece I'm carrying anyway.

I have 2 1911s, my 70 ser. that I had in the military when we switched over to the 92 (a sad day indeed) and an Alpha Foxtrot (Duluth, GA. ) in 10mm which is like butter to run, not cheap by any means but worth it, all the same and I have Glocks (G3 17 and a couple 21s plus a Mech Tech, M4 carbine conversion), a Keltec .380 pocket pistol I absolutely love which can be carried anywhere, anytime in 30 different ways and something I think absolutely should have been on the list as it's the quintessential, LE/military go to of the planet, we'll built, smooth running, accurate and easy to shoot, you guessed it... The Browning Hi Power (the "improved 1911"), so named as it was the first pistol to hold 13+1 rds. I have two "T" series, one in a beautiful blue and one Parkerized with G10 grips that's an absolute work mule. You can do so much with them to turn them into truly amazingly smooth shooting, reliable pistols and yet, they're terrific right out of the box.
You like the HKs (I do, too) but I went the other route with the FN. The FN pistol and an FAL are the two weapons I would go to war and live or die on (ok, and my A.F. 1911 10mm 😆). Heavy, a *man's* rifle to be sure, the FAL won't quit on you no matter what you put it through. Sorry, waxing nostalgic for the old days, a bit.
I do agree that if you're going revolver, a .357 Python is a must. 😊
Browning Hi-power... can't argue with that. Although, I disagree on the .357-- It's not if you're 'going revolver'... Every gun owner should be legally required to own a .357, PERIOD! Like it should be a law... how's that for gun control??
Fun fact: My '81 Python is timed so perfectly it doesn't have a cylinder drag mark.

Just found your channel. Good video and I think your five choices are solid. Of course if you look
at my user name, you will see where my heart is. I'm 62 years old and I have worshiped at the alter
of J.M Browning for as long as I can remember. I've also been an avid collector of Colt firearms
since I was very young, and while I collect them, I shoot them. My oldest is a U.S ARMY stamped Colt
that was made in 1917. I love taking it to the range and putting some rounds down range, and watching
people cringe because some people don't think old collector guns are okay to shoot.
When I got it I completely disassembled it, cleaned it and replaced the springs, and I'll be damned,
it goes bang every time I pull the trigger, even using the original two-tone magazines...
Is it the most accurate 1911 I own ? Nope, but it's still minute of fat guy at 25 yards all day long.
I trust it enough that I even carried it concealed for a while just because.
I only agree with some of your picks. I own a 3" Colt Python, a 4" Colt Python, a 6" Colt Python, all from the 60's except for the 3" which I had from '82 and converted from a 4" to a 3" so it is period correct and is identical to Wiley Clap's. I also have a Beretta 92FS, 92. 92FS Compact and an 85FS .380 ACP. My 1911's are from the 40's. I have 3 Colt LW Commanders in 38 super, 9mm, and .45 ACP. My other two picks are a CZ75 Compact 9mm, which is my EDC, and a Smith & Wesson 442 Airweight .38 special. I have many others that I like, Sig 226 in .357 Sig and 9mm. Sig 229, etc.
My first three guns are on the list, Beretta 92FS, HK USP (45 ACP) and Glock (G23). I currently own all 5 although my top 5 list might vary a little.

Love favorite 5 videos!
Cheers.
Great Video Man. Agreed
Great list!
Geee, you turned into 1911 gun hipster at the end. Very poetic. The heritage of the 1911, made before 1945 dwarfs the spec of time that you been breathing. Nice that you showed it respect. I'm watching this on memorial day 2024. The post 1945 1911's are like later post 1969 Porsche 911's. They may share the DNA, but the later 911 models are not as pure. The 19XX retro's have a fistful of better competitors. Metal and polymer.
Rest in Peace Gaston

I tend to get my nostalgia from revolvers, but damn you make a good case for the 1911.
Decent list. And while it's not something I'd carry, (off property) there's something very special about shooting a large frame revolver. Puts a smile on my face every time. The 1911 is the tortoise, where the 2011 is the hare. I have a great love for both. And since I won't be alive 100 years from now, I don't mind enjoying both in equal measure today.
Solid list, in fact probably exactly the 5 i'd have on mine. I own multiple variants of most of these.
