I will get Ace at some point. I bought Synthesizer V and combine it with VoiceAI (convert to another voice) from SoundID. Works really well. The main reason is they have perpetual licenses, about 79 bucks each. Synthesizer V sounds a bit better than Ace in my experience.
If you want to extend a syllable across several notes, then you use - for the noted following the syllable you want to extend. Also I think if you input a word with multiple syllables, it will automatically assign it to each note, but you can do it manually by using [1[ and [2], etc. to indicate which syllable of that multi-syllable word you want. Also, if there is a particular word you don't like the pronunciation for, you can go into the phonetics and edit it yourself. And lastly, you can adjust the duration of the consonants and vowels in the syllable with the sliders on the notes themselves. Add to this all the different expression you can add, and the pitch editing you can do... you can make some really convincing stuff. It does take time, but the results can really be great.
Hey Joe-Blog🎵! I have a question. I’ve had Ace for a couple days and I still can’t get it to work with Logic Pro 11. I see the plugin in the plugin manager and even see it in the appropriate Mac Library folder ( it’s not in any of the plug-in drop downs). Could you briefly tell me where it’s at? Thank you in advance and keep up the great content!
@ thanks for the quick response! After I wrote that I zoomed in on you choosing ‘instrument’ in your video and deduced what you were doing. That’s one answer that just wasn’t addressed anywhere in Ace’s documentation but you provided the clues; for that I am grateful. My next challenge is the output levels of the exported audio. It appears to be reliant on the master and track levels at the time of export 😂. (I’ve been normalizing in my DAW) THANKS AGAIN 🤘🏾
I’m not exactly sure what you are asking but YOU CAN use any rhythm and any note for any voice. I’m just a user and I write vocal pieces that are sometimes polyrhythmic (meaning things like 5 beats in the time frame of 4 beats etc) with no limitations
They no longer have a monthly price option. The way it’s worded is weird if you’re not careful I thought I was going to pay $16 but $199 came off my card for a year plan. They have no phone customer service only email. I had the monthly plan before but couldn’t login so I attempted it with a new email. They are actually still trying to charge for monthly even though they say it doesn’t exist anymore. It’s criminal.

Having to "apply" for a commercial license to use a particular voice on a particular song after shelling out 600 is a non-starter.
