Good morning Derek, watching this while I have my mid morning cup of tea. We are lucky where we live, as we don´t have to drive across salt, as we don´t get snow here. That is probably why our LRs have less rust in them. Not much rain here either, but as we are now in winter, we are getting some. Enjoy your Harry Potter visit.
Evening Derek. Cracking job on the side step. Should last a good few years. Hope the Harry Potter tour goes well. Know it well, my Daughter lives 15 mins from its location. Stay lucky. Stay safe. Stay healthy. Alan L200
@@sleepycatpictures1176 Glad you had a great time. Yes, my Daughter lives in Little Chalford, a beautiful place. Stay lucky. Stay safe. Stay healthy. Alan L200
Just doing a bit of surfing on t'interweb and found your video. I know my comment is a little late from the date this was launched, but may I respectfully suggest that when needing to lube between steel and rubber to use a "waxoyl" type substance. It doesn't bugger the rubber and helps to prevent water from getting trapped in the gap. It is also useful as a barrier between dissimilar metals as it doesn't react badly to aluminium like copper grease. I use it to water/future proof electrical plugs etc., A good dollop over the wires and terminals in trailer light plugs and sockets and most moisture and corrosion doesn't happen (yes you can undo the screws in a seven pin socket after it has been on a vehicle for more than a couple of hours). I am going to get myself a huge mug of tea and sit and try to catch up on a few more of your vlogs. Keep up the good work
Dedication? . . . Or stupidity . . . ! Never mind, it's all good. Whatever you have, it will cause bother sooner or later. It all depends how they have been treated in the past too.

Harry Potter was brilliant as usual. Salt on the roads . . . less so!

Hi Trevor. I did Waxoil the steps but after refitting. I can see it would have been better to do that first!
Another great video, enjoy Harry potter! The side steps look great and will last ages now.
Cheers, we did! The sidesteps will outlive the rest of it now!
I admire your dedication to the Disco🍺

Should've invested in a boat instead Derek, lol :)
Good job it isn't . . . it would sink!
