The boats on Mehnir Express aren’t logs, they’re menhirs as the name implies. They’re basically big pointy rocks that Obelix often carries on his back in the comics.
There’s supposed to be another preshow in the madhouse where Cesar himself greets you and stuff, but unfortunately the park doesn’t seem to care enough about that attraction.I think you can consider yourself lucky that you experienced the two other preshows.
Gordurix wasn't a problem for me too!! I mean, as a Brazilian i'm used to vekoma coasters hahaha and this one was actually smoother than the ones I used to ride
Went to the park yesterday. Toutatis, Tonnerre 2 Zeus and Oziris are great. Toutatis jumped into my top 5. Tonnerre likely would have if it was running with the backward last row 😢 Oziris beats Batman the Ride SFGA and Great Bear by a wide margin. Agree that Goudurix, while rough, is tolerable. Like Skyrush’s old restraints, I feel the complaints were overblown. Trace was ok. Skipped Pegase as the wait was nearly a hour. Great views from the skybar and didn’t ride any other non coasters. Overall, would recommend the park and will visit again during my next trip to Paris. Keep up the good work Canobie
My top 10 at this park: 1. Toutatis my no.1 coaster I’ve ever ridden, absolute 10/10 2. Tonnerre Deux Zeus (backwards) My goodness this is wild, how did engineering come to this lol 3. Oziris Unfortunately wasn’t able to get front row on it, but still a great ride in the middle of the train, looks stunning off-ride as well 4. Pegasé Express Best family coaster I’ve ever ridden, incredible 5. Tonnerre Deux Zeus Forwards quite disappointing and bumpy 6. Romelus et Rapidis Good rapids that can get you quite wet and has some great interaction with Pegasé Express 7. Goudurix As you said, tracking is mostly tolerable and it’s a quite well designed layout 8. Le Vol Di’Care I found it tolerable and fun, also the queue was very well themed 9. La Tracé Du Hourra still not a fan of the vibrations on Mack’s bobsleds 10. Menhir Express would be great if I wouldn’t slam my knees into the sides of the flume every time it turned Note that I missed out on the boat ride and madhouse mentioned here, as I didn’t know they existed at the time of my visit, I bet that both would’ve had a good shot at making the top 10.
I've been here a few weeks ago. For me the Oziris was more fun than the Toutatis, it felt like I was flying. And the wooden Zeus coaster was not my thing, I found it rougher than the Goudrix. The sounds that thing made haha.
@@CanobieCoaster it'd be super cool if you got it out before I visit on june 24th cuz i'm lost on what to do in what order especially with tonnerre losing its backwards row. Thanks for the content as always you're the goat
Interesting top 15 since I don't have the same at all 😂 (except for some attractions). Like, Grand Splatch look so low down (nearly in the top 5 for me). Moreover, I can understand the placement for Défi de César with all the scenes but now without and some Screen issues, it's certainly one of the worst in the park 😬 Btw I'd like to see where you put OG TDZ (before retracking)
The problem about a drop tower is that the park has a 50-something meters height limit because of the nearby airport. That’s the reason why trenches were made for Toutatis, so that it could get the tallest coaster of France record while not exceeding the limit.
@@Sauci55onyou can still get an amazing 50m drop tower, some are only 30 yet are still great, sometimes the smaller ones are more forceful, 50 is defo enough to work with and will get the best views in the park especially with no type of observation rides
Actually the preshow of le Défi de César doesn't exist anymore... You could also include Attention Menhir which is a fun 4D Theater with a cool story (but only in french, sorry), and Nationale 7 (which will sadly close at the end of the Halloween Season),, the local old cars ride with a lot of fun french references ! But man how could you rank Goudurix before Pégase 😢
Defi de Cesar isn't the same today unfortunately, the park removed all of the preshows and half of the screens doesn't work. What was a fun Mad House became the worst ride in the park in my opinion
Imagine riding again a coaster that Canobie Coaster would say: Much of the ride is a tame family coaster, but the finale is painful. The brakes bring the train to a full and jarring stop. If I ask you, do you like, do you not like or do you hate the finale and brake stops?
The boats on Mehnir Express aren’t logs, they’re menhirs as the name implies. They’re basically big pointy rocks that Obelix often carries on his back in the comics.
Thanks for pointing that out. The logo of Attention Menhir makes sense then.
Disneyland Paris: we can’t build a splash mountain due to Paris weather
Parc Asterix: ok, we need two log flumes and two rapids
And they will get you DRENCHED in the right seats
I like all the water rides.
1:25 from the comics you know you should never call Obelix fat or he will make steak tartar out of you.
I know he'll go berserk.

I last rode Defi de Cesar in 2019. It sounds like experience worsened post covid.
Yes, there were no preshows at all this year (during my visit at Easter), which was a bit disappointing.
Obelix is not fat! At least don’t tell him that personally or he’ll slap you into the sky
I've heard he gets mad when you call him fat.
Gordurix wasn't a problem for me too!! I mean, as a Brazilian i'm used to vekoma coasters hahaha and this one was actually smoother than the ones I used to ride
Nice!

I love their top 3 coasters. But their supporting ones are good too.
1:26 OBELIX ISN’T FAT HE JUST HAS HEAVY BONES. That is at least what he claims himself
I know he goes nuts when called fat.
As we get older, we all struggle with heavy bones in our abdominal area.

Just wait until you ride firechaser express at Dollywood holy hell that things launch packs a punch especially backwards
Apparently the madhouse has gotten worse than when I last rode it in 2019. OzIris is best in the back row.
Tonerre de Zeus was my first wooden coaster and damn it looks so much more amazing now, and in 2011 when i rode it it was already super fun
It got better with the recent work for me.
I've been here a few weeks ago. For me the Oziris was more fun than the Toutatis, it felt like I was flying. And the wooden Zeus coaster was not my thing, I found it rougher than the Goudrix. The sounds that thing made haha.
I like Zeus despite the roar.
We really enjoyed Parc Asterix. A must do when in the area for Disneyland Paris
Absolutely
7:41 that zero g roll looks like something straight out of planet coaster
I love it.
Please do a top 25 favorite coasters in France. I’d love to see you do that.
I want to make that video, but I don't think I can make it until I visit Walibi Rhone Alpes.
@@CanobieCoaster Got it. I think you know how you would rank those coasters there though
Mystic and Timber are two that could crack the top 10.
love the video! do you plan on doing a review for this park?
Sometime this summer.

Yaaaaay! 🇫🇷🇫🇷🇫🇷❤️❤️❤️
Enjoy!
"Obelix is a fat man"
Famous last words
I know he goes nuts in the comics when you say that.
Will tou have a review of Pegasus Express? I'd love to know if you prefer that or Firechaser Express at Dollywood more.
There will be one, just not imminently.
Nice countdown 👌
Thanks!

You're welcome.

I'm sad to hear the madhouse has degraded. I last rode it in 2019.
1:26 Obelix Is Not Fat
I know he's about to get mad at me for saying that.
Sit in his butt, haha, thats a good one. Dont see that everyday. Hilarious. This is a great park. All the coasters and rides look cool. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
It was odd and cool.
This park is great but it definitely needs more big flat rides
I'd love a big pendulum and drop tower.

Did they remove the preshows post covid? I last rode it in 2019.
Is it open in December?
I think so.
I like how Tonnerre "2" Zeus is number "2" on the list lmao.
Fitting
I gotta go there
It's amazing.
Is the water in slide that filthy?
It's hard to tell since the slide itself has a dull color.
Pretty sure all water rides at the park have very clean water
I Got stuck on trace du hourra
Oh no!
Defi de Cesar isn't the same today unfortunately, the park removed all of the preshows and half of the screens doesn't work. What was a fun Mad House became the worst ride in the park in my opinion
That's unfortunate. Did the preshows disappear post covid? I last rode it in 2019.
@@CanobieCoaster I think
Was it really a surprise toutatis was number one it’s the best ride there
I think it will be the top ride for many.
hearing you say "nuts" is so weird
Lol
Canobie Coaster, what would you rate Tonnerre 2 Zeus, Goudurix, Trace du Hourra, and Vol d'Icare?
I have reviews for most of those.
Imagine riding again a coaster that Canobie Coaster would say:
Much of the ride is a tame family coaster, but the finale is painful. The brakes bring the train to a full and jarring stop. If I ask you, do you like, do you not like or do you hate the finale and brake stops?
I dislike the end.
Imagine trying to ride all rides at this park again, including Vol d'Icare. What would you think?
I will ride most rides, not Vol d'Icare.
If I ask you:
Do you think all coasters at Parc Asterix are tolerable for you?
Canobie Coaster would say:
I like those rides and coasters except...
Vol d'Icare is not comfortable.
