The biggest problem is that we haven't heard anything from these candidates. I'm not happy that the press has basically hidden these candidates.
That's exactly the truth. The mainstream media pretends they don't exist at worst or are joke spoilers at best. Biden thinks he is owed a second term so he just blows them off. And the DNC is somehow acting on its own as the determiner of who we want to vote for. It's a disgrace. Both parties are a huge pile of steaming manure.
I'm mad at both the DNC and the media.
If Biden can fight it out and win, he will be stronger for it. Any incumbent for that matter.

It’s so refreshing to hear these three talk about real issues and possible solutions.
Except, they do not have very good solutions! The two men agreed that to fix the migration problems U.S. should set up a plan to help Latin countries. It has been reported that it is not just people from countries south of the border illegally coming into America! It is people from 172 different countries are crossing our border illegally. How can America fix the problems of 172 countries? Not even realistic! And, Mary Ann wants all those FREE severices for everyone?!? America is already 34 Trillion in debt, where is the money going to come from for all those servises? Unrealistic! Nothing is free & once you become a mature adult, you realize that!
It's easy to talk about "real issues and possible solutions" when there is zero chance of being in a position to implement them.

@@tokarteam1 Of course they should talk about their policy goals as much as possible. Uygar does it regularly on TYT. Rep Phillips has the explicit platform of the House floor. Williamson has written a number of books, she clearly has the means to express her goals.
I'm saying that this specific platform is an ineffective one, because they are candidates in name only. This particular discussion is also completely useless because they say what they want the destination to be without describing any path to do that. This is the ultimate in "political promises to be broken". This is the fundamental flaw in the messaging by the left, ignoring that most of the country is wary of the goals being presented and extremely distrustful of the path that would be required to get there.
I would take any of these three rather than Biden.

Although Biden’s administration has made significant policy improvements (more than many preceding both Republican & Democrat presidents), his HORRENDOUS , unconditional, “bombs-away!” support of Israel (at American taxpayers expense) may cost him re-election.
As for Trump, we can rely on this self-serving wannabe King and loose cannon/con artist to remain loyal to his own class. Trump serves the donor ruling class even more than Biden. Trump and Biden are both pals of Netanyahu.

None of these candidates are very good. But as for Marianne in particularly? She's just another desperate politician running on a false sense of morality. Philips seems to be the only one of the three who is mostly a centrist. I truly believe Cenk knows he has no chance of winning and is merely running for donations and clout.
The idea of reparations is laughable - but at least it seems the only candidate using that to pander is Marianne. Philips is clearly not for it. And if you've seen Cenk's past videos on this proposition, he too is not in favor of it. One thing I can completely agree with all three on is that it's completely undemocratic to not just remove their names from the ballots, but former President Trump's name as well. It's undemocratic, unconstitutional and authoritarian.
Unless we face a direct attack on our nation, I'm personally completely anti-war and don't believe in funding Israel nor Ukraine. I'm not anti-Israel, but they have more than enough resources to demolish whatever terrorist groups they're facing. And Ukraine has always been about funneling money. Not to mention it was NATO, Ukraine and the US who started the proxy war, not Russia.
Wow! Compare this to ANY GOP DEBATE. This forum/debate was way more mature and substantive without looking like a drama show. These are serious opponents, and it’s no wonder the media doesn’t want to cover them because otherwise the party would’ve abandoned Biden already. I’m leaning towards Marianne Williamson. I love everything about this debate/discussion. As Dean Phillips said “we should celebrate participation right now…” instead of demonising citizens who opt to join in the democratic process and get more progressive ideas out there. I love what Marianne said about how well she is doing despite her very little coverage and exposure on major media platforms. The Democratic Party and the media machine should be ashamed at how much they use their power to limit our options.

What compelled you to vote for Trump again in 2020?
I'd vote for ANY of these candidates before Biden. I just wished this was shown on main stream media or Biden had actually shown up. And my personal favorite of the 3 is Cenk Uyger.
I’m voting for Marianne! I don’t agree with her on everything but she hits the pain points better than anyone. She gets it! She also has a really admirable background in her nonprofit.
I think a background in helping the disadvantaged is very much the sort of experience called for, for the presidency.

@@carolbatchelder1 Ballot access is s state by state issue. For instance Williamson is on all six of the early voting state ballots. Biden is not on the New Hampshire ballot and Dean Phillips didn't make the deadline for Nevada. Uygar has the most trouble getting ballot access. From what I hear, Marianne Williamson is on something like thirty state ballots as of now.
She's speaking Biden s words. Well with Biden it's action. He's bringing back the middle class!

I like Marianne Williamson message about the drugs issue. Also Cenk’s idea of a Latin American Marshall plan. Stop the war on drugs and start talking about recovery and getting people off drugs
I'm an independent voter and I appreciate this debate with these qualified candidates who have been dismissed, stepped over, ignored and tossed aside by the Democrat party and the Democrat run mainstream media. The US has an obligation to take in asylum applicants. The problem is that we can't process the border crossers fast enough to determine denial or deportatiin. In 2023, 70% of immigration cases had to carry over to the next year. 25% approved to stay and 3% denied and deported. 70% added to next years list then add the new ones and carry over 70% over to 2025??? Never ending stupidity. Need more case workers and more immigration judges. Process more cases.
These candidates deserve the right to speak, even if you disagree with them (just as I do).

Have any economists gone to purchase groceries lately? I have, and all the prices are higher every time I go. I'm a senior on a fixed income and food stamps. My monthly food stamps went down from $97 to $76. Is congress on any side listening to "we the people"? I can't tell.
well if we get a progressive like Marianne and she packs the court with progressive judges. Then they can review the case that legalized bribery to congress.

As a democrat I honestly really appreciate this, hope Biden doesn't get past the primaries. I really don't understand how the Democratic party is sidelining Marianne when she's would be a strong candidate compared to Biden, yet we want this grandpa keep leading the country. I would love to see these 3 debate the republican runner up's like this.

We do have an actual representative democracy (constitutional republic technically) in the sense that everyones vote matters, so we could technically just vote who we want. But most Democrats support Biden and most Republicans support Trump, so it takes only about 12.5 + 15.5 + 0.00001% = 28.00001% of people to nominate those two. Since 31% of voters are registered Democrats and 25% registered Republicans and they just need a majority. And then, the remaining 44% consist heavily of non-voters making it hard for third parties to ever win (even if they get the most votes, if they don't win the electoral college, Congress decides who wins the Presidency).
This is debate is so far superior to the normal circuses the parties produce. Great questions and followups.
Having consumed at least 100s of hours of screen time, watching Cenk, I like his guts, but I'd say that Marianne is closest to my values.

Switzerland has no inflation, universal healthcare (fun fact they also have a private insurance based system like us, but rank #1), tuition free college, a month paid vacation time off by law, considering a 4 day work week, paid family and sick leave, high wages (Switzerland and a few other EU countries don't even have a minimum wage).
Marianne has actually funded her campaign with her own funds. That is how dedicated she is to this process. I am amazed.

Fair point (and I like Marianne, too), but, on the other hand, I think we NEED to get mad. We SHOULD be mad. And I think Cenk's authentic "agitated" state actually is quite representative of where most working-class Americans are at - as in, AT THEIR LMIT.
