Sad part was that before Fox arrived. Kevin Hayes snubbed the Hawks to play closer to home and in NY. That guy was their savior and a hugs chunk in why NYR did any damage from 2015-17.. They got a winger turned center over night that could easily post 45-50 points in strict 3rd line duties with zero PP. Which was also 100% why they got Vesey for free even though he sucked lol. Vesey was going anywhere where Hayes was playing.. I didn't think that could ever be topped until I saw Fox.

I can see why some people can’t stand him. It’s one thing to not want to play for a team and want to be traded somewhere else but then deny that team to because they aren’t the rangers? If your a rangers fan you basically got a top prospect for free and are happy but to a lot of other people it just seems childish
HUH?! He was drafted in the 3rd round. Rangers gave up two 2nd round picks to Carolina. There have been multiple occasions where a guy hasn’t signed after they are drafted. That’s not what happened here tho.
Now imagine being in Carolina’s shoes. Where this is part of this major franchise altering trade. Then he makes you trade this top defenseman prospect for magic beans to a team that is a division rival.
and about that , carolina went and got noah gunler which in the condition if fox played more than 30 games it would then become a 2020 2nd round pick , they traded their 2019 pick from the rangers to ottawa for ottawas 2019 2nd round pick from florida which ended up being jamison rees , and the 2019 4th round pick from the rangers which was antonni honka . so for 1 player who was a 3rd round pick carolina went and got 2 2nd round picks and 1 4th round pick . rees is a damn good player who could make the nhl and gunler was at one point considered 1st round talent due to his shot . if honka or gunler dont make it to the nhl that is okay . not every pick makes it to the nhl .

We love Mr Adam Fox has in many ways brought the whole Franchise on his very small back We were able to bring in AP we stole his partner RL from Boston in a few short years we have the number 1 defense Prospect pool in the whole league we now need to find a 2C and perhaps a 3c like the Tampa has, In Dury we trust
In case, of both the Carolina Hurricanes and Calgary Flames, he might not have wanted to play for them, if he was going to get pushed out of the lineup, by NHL vets on one way NHL contracts.
