I'm pretty decent with soldering but still a beginner, I'm having a hard time figuring out the diagram at the end. This right here is the ultimate modded PS1 (minus HDMI which I don't need for my CRT), hopefully with more experience I'll be able to figure it out or I can find a more in depth tutorial.

I think the switch board is not needed because there's no parallel port on this model, and the purpose of the switch board is to keep the parallel port functionality together with the PSIO itself on models that don't have the parallel port.

hello what is the purpose of putting in a Cd into the drive? Sorry new to all this trying to figure this out.

I guess putting the cd writes some kind of file in the system so then when you turn it on again it boots the file and reads the files from the sd

Отличная штука , клон с китая лучше не делать иначе ребята закроют проект и не будет выходить прошивок. А прошивки выходят , фиксят баги, улучшают функционал, так что лучше потратить раз и знать что устройство под присмотром.

Я их понимаю, конечно, но чтобы не смотрели на китайцев - нужно цены не ломить, а не пытаться собирать ХУДШИЕ решения по удержанию контроля над товаром. У меня вообще чувство, что в создании кто-то из снг участвует, так как очень сильно пахнет нашим, родным, бизнесов в стиле мцст и прочих атол с эвотор (я кассами немного занимаюсь).

1 es costoso
2 tiene que usar cd para boot
3 le quita cosas interesantes al psone
4 requiere instalar un chip para utilizar múltiples juegos pal NTSC jap
Consola mas viable el ps2 con opl freemc boot es la consola que mas se presta con juegos ps1 y ps2 y sin usar ningún disco físico de arranque

1 it's not expansive if you consider the prices for ps1 discs. 107 USD for a solution that enable to play the whole library, it's something to consider.

2 I have a PSIO myself and there's no need of boot disks.

3 it doesn't remove nothing of interesting on the PSone, since the optical drive on any PS1 sucks, they wear out easily even when playing only original discs, they are also slow, skips so easily and make a lot of noise.
