I enjoy Ground Branch, but I gotta say, there is absolutely no progression whatsoever. It's a complete sandbox, where you have access to everything at the beginning and don't earn anything. The fun of the game is the sheer amount of control you have over your character and your equipment, the feeling of the gameplay, and depth of the mechanics all coming together in a sandbox where you can basically do whatever you want or join servers where you can play with mostly chill people and play whatever game mode is being hosted.
wish there was a mod were you can do certain missions, like capturing someone or finding intel and you either get money for doing those things or unlock certain guns, would make it feel more involved for solo players
The amount of customization is awesome but you have to admit that is really the only thing good about the game. I wish there was more features and game modes.
Yup, same reason I don't play Forza anymore. Two different genres i know, but progressing trough a game is what keeps me invested, even a basic level up or prestige system does wonders.
I like this. This is what shooters need. The true feeling of what its like to be one of the guys who do this type of work. Of course in real life there are situations where you would have to camp in the same position for hours and days, this comes close enough
Well, how bout you all send them the emails then? I'm not egging, it's constructive criticism, so take some action. I did it with RON, do it with this one.
I have £300 hours on the game and I have to say that the game isnt for everyone, its slow paced shooter nothing like cs2, valorant, COD, BF etc... you have to enjoy the slow pace that you and youre team is moving, also knowing CQB helps a lot so you dont die in 15 seconds. The game is all about the peaople thats playing with you and if noone will step in the role of squad leader and coordinate the team everyone will die in 5 minutes or less coz almost everyone is playing the game like a fucking cs2. servers I would recomend: MRP slow paced tactical, CQB tactical server, and for the pvp I would recomend HP2 hells playground server, and bio servers liko bio 4 deatmatch or bio 5 hostage rescue
and also if you dont know how to use lasers and flashlights dont use them, you dont need them to be good in the game, if you want to use them learn about when to turn laser on and off and thats the same for flashlight, LASER: is a great help in CQB but even for snipers doing overwatch, you shoudlnmt have them ON all the time that will KILL YOU AND YOURE SQUAD, bind youre laser on thumb button on ur mouse so its easily activated and turned off, when you come out of the corner and there is no time to aim you switvh youre laser on so you see where are you shooting and then you turn it off, same with flashlight you turn it on ONLY if you cant see
Got Supporter Edition of Ready Or Not, got Ground Branch, however I have to say I've had far, far more hours and fun doing Insurgency Sandstorm, despite the lack of updates and map monotony and boredom. I thought of getting Six Days in Fallujah, but need to wait for these games to improve. Squad looks very well rounded, especially with the mods. The strengths and weaknesses of ground branch are very clear, I do wish that with some of the best customisation out there, you could choose different watches for your character, different watches, mechanical, digital, different colours etc.
I chose g.b over r.o.n cus at the time, r.o.n didn't have multiplayer. Not sure if it does now. Squad is great but it's not for everyone. Gigantic scale battles
I like the game, but for some reason i struggle to find hardcore tactical players on it in more recent times, i used to join servers where we would split up teams and plan out missions for 15 minutes before even starting. Even doing demonstrations of proper CQC for newer players... Its hard to find people with mics nowadays even. Or maybe its just me
No, you're not wrong. The game peaked back in 2018-2019 when custom ruled TvT (team vs team) was popular. For some reason, that dropped off hard and the Coop became center focused (which, I'll never understand why since it simply cannot compare to TvT). It felt like a more refined Squad and I distinctly remember saying how it was the best tactical shooter at the time. While I haven't tried it out recently again, it's just not the same.
I myself will say this... having only partial controller support is a problem. There is literally no reason what so ever that this game couldn't have a full controller configuration the game has been in development for some time, im guessing as a side hustle. If the dev/s have any experience at all, then please show it in this game im going to waste $33 once again on this because well being depressed for over a decade or two its what I do , but after I get my xbox elite series 2 controller with chatpad and proscroller wheel and MMB attachments setup decent then hopefully ill beable to tackle this game finally after being refunded for it the first time. This game has SOOOO MUCH POTENTIAL!!! It really does , so whats holding the dev/s back from persuing that?🤔
Bro use steam input. You can use a controller on literally any game with steam input. I use a controller even for Ready or Not, despite people saying you can’t. I’ve mapped every control in that game to a controller. You can do so much with steam input. Every game can be used with controller and you can customize it exactly how you want I will say though having integrated controller support is usually better, but steam input is amazing if you take some time to customize the controls, or find a good uploaded layout
i hear a lot about how bad it is but it was the standard for a while. being so i never played it is it worth it? i’ve played ready or not since early access. that’s the only tactical shooter i’ve played besides insurgency sandstorm and the ghost recon games. i enjoy slow paced mil slim shooters. is it worth it? edit : i also been hesitant about zero hour is that worth it? but i like the customization of ground branch
GB customisation is great. zero hour you can skip as RON is better version of it honestly, unless you want pvp mp but even that doesn't really work out for zero hour as it's only got like 92 players online.
The recoil looks realistic for a highly trained operator. It's 5.56 in most cases not 50bmg. And the weapon sway is determined by how tired your characters arms are, in high or low ready which you should be in most of the time your character gains stamina or at least doesn't lose it. Games like ready or not as cool as it is, make the operators look like a 13 year old girl trying to handle an ar-15 for the first time
It's so slow moving starting off it feel like you all alone and there are no instructions, What a bore. I walked slowly alone for ten minutes without a clue what to do. Found no way out. Training in the same way.
Wish I never bought it for what it was charging. I check it out every so 6 months and play it for a bout 2 hrs and uninstall it and repeat. I say not worth it...

while it has potenial, I wish i didn't buy it years ago. Never will buy early access ever again
Same. But it’s pretty good now.
The AI has no tactics. The game has been out years and there is nothing new. Defenitly not worth it.
Ready or not, even with all it's flaws is a game atleast. Ground branch is a tech demo.
at least 12 years of developpement
@@LateNightHam not a really good tech demo... not saying that this is bad but there is nothing incredible in this game

This game would be great if it was similar to escape from tarkov.

Your reviews are absolutely amazing, I truly hope you go viral one Day.
I appreciate the support a lot
What type of pc would I need to get to start plsyong
Very good video
Armor system is not yet in game, calling it body armor is kinda misleading
Thank you for that great review which told me exactly what I wanted to know.
Thanks lad you deserve to go viral one day and i hope you do
Appreciate it!
Great video! Keep up your work. And thanks for this test. I was interested in this game and was looking for a good review. Found yours 🙂
Glad you enjoyed!
You use Davinci Resolve I think that's pretty cool 😎
I would love it if had moddability and map makers!
Mods are in now, map makers probably in the future
The true Ground Branch experience is definitely the Multiplayer especially Co-op, and being able to LARP with friends and goofing off in the woods.
The thumbnail of this vid was taken from a tactigamer video
Is this game similar to Escape From Tarkov?
Nothing like escape from tarkov
Lol EFT is thousand miles better than GB

Looks like my PC with a Kaby Lake i7, a GTX 1070, and 32 Gigs of RAM will not be able to run this on anything more than medium?
The game is better than Rainbow Six Siege because it has T HUNT!
is this close to batllefield?
no
