To say they didn’t play anybody to get to the Finals isn’t dumb it’s just true. Every East team they played had their best player out.
That doesn’t mean Celtics aren’t a great team and obviously it’s not their fault but if you’re evaluating them in an all time greatest team’s conversation the lack of a great opponent means something.
How are they dumb when it's the truth. The mavs are the first healthy team that they have played lol. Who else did they play to get there?? Heat with no jimmy, rozier, and robinson, Pacers with no Haliburton for most the series, cavs with no mitchell and allen.

The ones that say the Celtics didn't play anybody or they only played beat up teams, what does that say for the rest of the league? The ones the Celtics beat were the ones that made it to that playoff round. Also, if losing one player turns you into a nobody team, your team lacks any level of depth to make up for it.

Why is this issue a one-way street with the Celtics? We were without Porzingis for most of the playoffs, but nobody talks about that. The media just focuses on the other teams that didn’t have their top players. So much bias and sports and media in general.
