I really enjoy it when you played Airsoft because it was fun to watch, and just seeing raw footage is pretty good to see every aspect of it. Living in Canada, it's kind of hard to find a field for me as well as getting high quality gun, so watching someone play is (especially someone who I admire) it's still fun to watch.
I don't think LevelCap has a personality where when something goes wrong, he can just relax and have fun. It seems like when he sets out to do something, he won't stop until he does it and he won't stop until he's the best at it. So while I'm sure he has fun airsofting even when his footage doesn't come through, he probably is so disappointed he couldn't do what he set out to do that it kinda ruins it. Not trying to talk for LevelCap, but from watching his videos that seems to be his personality.

I usually played hopper ball so a 300 round high cap mag would be plenty for me; so all I run is a spectra flex 8 full cover, gloves and a gun. That cut my budget in half.

The overwhelming army of asshats was too much to make the time and money worth it.

There is a small group that plays where I live and I love them, and although you stopped making videos years ago, I still come back to them to see what got me into a sport ran by passionate people and honest friends. Honestly you hit the nail on the head perfectly in this video. People need to realize to get even one airsoft video its a long process. A few hours in preparation, next day you gotta make it out to field, then the next day editing. Not to mention filed admission, green gas, air, bbs and gas money. Sometimes even toll money. It's a lot of work for something that can go wrong. Your gun could down and boom you wasted x amount of money and time. Another problem you spoke about was refs and field owners beings jerks, I noticed this and was threaten multiple times over something i did in a video, also cursed out by field owners. Last thing was you talked about was being followed, an issue I've dealt with but not on the scale you did, But i applaud you for bringing it up. It's almost been a taboo to say, but common sense when you and friends might be playing tactical or alone and you have people following you. As much as i wanna constantly be making airsoft content its tough and almost counter productive for me. I complete understand your decision, but a lot people wont unless they have witness some of bs that some airsoft youtubers go through.

Brork You personally can, but can a ref who's just glancing your way from 50 feet? Not really. Paintball has cheaters just like airsoft. In fact, I've probably experienced more cheating at paintball than airsoft. I don't think I've really had any bad times at airsoft games but the Californians get far too many people for all of them to be decent.
+mestido Even getting 1 camera to work is a pain batteries can fail which is normally manageable with 1 sometimes you forget to start the camera, they can or at least mine just used to go off sometimes after a long time, then sometimes you will go to look at what you recorded and its corrupted and im sure all these problems are amplified when your trying to attach 3 cameras and have them all run when you want them to.

I watched you when I was like 8 or 9 years old and you inspired me to get into airsoft. I got a crappy umarex HK416 aeg, and plinked with that until I was about 11 or 12 when I was old enough to play. I bought an ARP9 and went to a local CQB field. I had a blast and I go to that same field all the time (High ground in Spring Tx). Many years later here I am enjoying the sport with my MTW. Thanks man! (Even tho u wont see this)

I've been a fan of levelcap for years now and I really hope he calls his hits. Also after playing airsoft for 3 years there's shots where you think you hit some one but didn't and hits where you were hit but didn't know you got hit.
Yeah, this is something a lot of people don't realize, those vests are really bulky and many times you can get hit and not even feel or hear it. My rule is if they don't react, they probably didn't feel it and just shoot again. Its realistic too. People in real life don't drop just because you shoot them once in many cases.
Would you believe me if I said yes? Probably not. I'm just some chump online with no background as far as anyone knows. Take my words at face value. Besides, just "shooting someone" doesn't make anyone an authority on combat. A lot of people have jobs where they had to shoot someone, or even just a law abiding citizen. However, people are very diverse and die in very different ways depending on their mindset and physiological concerns. There isn't one-size-fits-all solution to any threat. Fire until no longer a threat, no more, no less.

I wish people stopped saying stuff like "Paintball is better, stop playing airsoft because it is stupid." I play paintball because I enjoy it. I don't try to sway someone else to do what you think is better. There is a lot to learn between sports. I learn from LevelCap some strategies to use for MagFed paintball. Stop trying to make people feel bad because they play a game that they love.
Technically they both are the same, what with the only differences being that air soft feels a bit more realistic, but hurts less, and with paintball being more national/famous and enjoyable.
I used to like airsoft, but to be honest its the community of whiners, cheaters and asshats that made me sell my guns and gear. No point in spending time around those that you would rather shoot with a real gun

The equipment part was dead on. I spend about half the day charging batteries alone and I have like 2 backup systems for everything because cameras die, guns die, glasses fog and everything else you can think of. Nothing more frustrating than going out to record and having a camera issue or just having a bad day when you get owned and you have nothing to show for it.
I know its been a long time levelcap, but even if you only made one or two airsoft videos a moth, that'd still be pretty cool. Just an idea. Still love your content.

I can absolutely back up level on the time it takes to produce airsoft videos and turning my hobby into a job as being the main reasons I majorly slowed down on video production myself. People recognizing you at games can also get rather, well annoying but that didn't bother me too much. What bothered me is just how immature and hostile the airsoft community is at large. People would walk up to me, talk about how they loved my videos, then 30 minutes later insult someone else they just met for their gear. It's just not a very supportive community.

I understand at least partially what this is like. A couple years ago I started repairing and upgrading AEG's for others for payment, this eventually made me take a looong break from airsoft. Working on guns is half the fun of airsoft for me, and turning that from a joy to a job took much of the fun out of airsofting for me. Lately I've gotten more back into airsoft again, and I won't do tech work for others anymore, I'll only work on my own guns and try and simplify things a bit.

Your reason is very similar to why I kinda stopped playing airsoft in general. I spent way to much money on stuff I don’t need. The final straw was when I spent almost $400 on the Krytac Trident CRB MK2 which was not a decent gun.
They need to patch these fields, get better admins and better hit detection. But in all seriousness, I will miss your airsoft videos, they were fun to watch, and if you do get back into the game, Dont record it, do it for yourself.

Cheating becomes a lot more difficult when you play paintball. You say "nah I wasn't hit" when there's paint all over the front of your shirt.
This is literally only true for like an hour. After you've been hit a few dozen times it's nearly impossible to tell new hits.

Paintball has cheaters just like airsoft. In fact, I've probably experienced more cheating at paintball than airsoft. I don't think I've really had any bad times at airsoft games but the Californians get far too many people for all of them to be decent.

+mestido Even getting 1 camera to work is a pain batteries can fail which is normally manageable with 1 sometimes you forget to start the camera, they can or at least mine just used to go off sometimes after a long time, then sometimes you will go to look at what you recorded and its corrupted and im sure all these problems are amplified when your trying to attach 3 cameras and have them all run when you want them to.

I watched you when I was like 8 or 9 years old and you inspired me to get into airsoft. I got a crappy umarex HK416 aeg, and plinked with that until I was about 11 or 12 when I was old enough to play. I bought an ARP9 and went to a local CQB field. I had a blast and I go to that same field all the time (High ground in Spring Tx). Many years later here I am enjoying the sport with my MTW. Thanks man! (Even tho u wont see this)

+666666MetalHead You have to remember all of the footage he is showing has been edited. I'm not saying he never called his hits but it's easy to hide him not calling them. I've been a fan of levelcap for years now and I really hope he calls his hits. Also after playing airsoft for 3 years there's shots where you think you hit some one but didn't and hits where you were hit but didn't know you got hit.
Yeah, this is something a lot of people don't realize, those vests are really bulky and many times you can get hit and not even feel or hear it. My rule is if they don't react, they probably didn't feel it and just shoot again. Its realistic too. People in real life don't drop just because you shoot them once in many cases.
Would you believe me if I said yes? Probably not. I'm just some chump online with no background as far as anyone knows. Take my words at face value. Besides, just "shooting someone" doesn't make anyone an authority on combat. A lot of people have jobs where they had to shoot someone, or even just a law abiding citizen. However, people are very diverse and die in very different ways depending on their mindset and physiological concerns. There isn't one-size-fits-all solution to any threat. Fire until no longer a threat, no more, no less.

I wish people stopped saying stuff like "Paintball is better, stop playing airsoft because it is stupid." I play paintball because I enjoy it. I don't try to sway someone else to do what you think is better. There is a lot to learn between sports. I learn from LevelCap some strategies to use for MagFed paintball. Stop trying to make people feel bad because they play a game that they love.

Technically they both are the same, what with the only differences being that air soft feels a bit more realistic, but hurts less, and with paintball being more national/famous and enjoyable.

The equipment part was dead on. I spend about half the day charging batteries alone and I have like 2 backup systems for everything because cameras die, guns die, glasses fog and everything else you can think of. Nothing more frustrating than going out to record and having a camera issue or just having a bad day when you get owned and you have nothing to show for it.
I know its been a long time levelcap, but even if you only made one or two airsoft videos a moth, that'd still be pretty cool. Just an idea. Still love your content.

its not fun lol he quit 8 yrs ago... imagine the shit that happens on a field now we had kids beat people with wooden katanas so bad i had to punch one in the face with a rock, people using aluminum bbs that can mess up actual armor, or high pressure airguns that basically allow you to cheat when ever you want by turning a dial to up your pressure

I can absolutely back up level on the time it takes to produce airsoft videos and turning my hobby into a job as being the main reasons I majorly slowed down on video production myself. People recognizing you at games can also get rather, well annoying but that didn't bother me too much. What bothered me is just how immature and hostile the airsoft community is at large. People would walk up to me, talk about how they loved my videos, then 30 minutes later insult someone else they just met for their gear. It's just not a very supportive community.
Literally never happens in the uk. I think the US airsoft community is just alot more toxic because of how easy it is to get into.

I understand at least partially what this is like. A couple years ago I started repairing and upgrading AEG's for others for payment, this eventually made me take a looong break from airsoft. Working on guns is half the fun of airsoft for me, and turning that from a joy to a job took much of the fun out of airsofting for me. Lately I've gotten more back into airsoft again, and I won't do tech work for others anymore, I'll only work on my own guns and try and simplify things a bit.

Your reason is very similar to why I kinda stopped playing airsoft in general. I spent way to much money on stuff I don’t need. The final straw was when I spent almost $400 on the Krytac Trident CRB MK2 which was not a decent gun.
