Just for fun I thought I'd put together a quick countdown for you guys to enjoy while I film for a bunch of new videos. After this video goes live i'm heading out to Dallas for the weekend so I hope you enjoy this laid back show. It's a relatively old airsoft gun now. About 7 years ago it was quite the cool kids gun.
Now with the real one being used by basically one country (France, which recently replaced with the HK416) doesn't make it the most represented gun in pop culture from videogames to blockbuster movies. The only reason why it was so popular in airsoft I believe was because it was cheap and decent for beginners.
While I'd love an airsoft version of a more modern Famas, I don't really expect to see that happening anytime soon. Even France replaced it (for the HK416).

It was popular in air-soft because it was and still is a gun in Counter-Strike, the most played FPS ever. Pretty simple.

When first got into airsoft, I remember seeing M4s, G36s, Famas's and MB01s all over the place.
I wanted something a bit original and a Sig 552 was my very first gun.
Oh man I really loved that one. I didn't have it for very long but it's still somewhere in my heart.

Gavin Walker Not as dumb as it seems though. The grip allows for a more stable grip but the mag allows for quicker movement. It all depends on the situation.
You don't always use the grip. From another firing position I bet he uses the angle grip.

Aww, thankfully I have none of these. Rocking that lancer tactical for parody games (where I make it my job to just remind people it's a game, you know. Throw a handful of bbs at people and wear bright ass orange), a p90 for esthetic, an aa12 for funnies, or a Tar-21 for shreking competitions.

I'm pretty much the same, when it comes to M4 rifles I've very picky. I stick to classic rifles instead (Galil, FAL, M14, G3 and so on)

LMAO, join the Army....I see them all the time. This is why I bought an AUG for my first Airsoft rifle. Also guilty, I got an EF 1911 used, but it came with 5 mags and a tether and serpa holster for 125.

HAHAHAHAHA. I ran that setup sometimes XD. I loved my VFC 416C. Its the only "off the rack" that I had ever owned other than my two EF 1911s. All the rest are custom builds. The 416 is a great plarform and I never had problems with mine. It was bone stock and shot laser beams every time, and never had any feeding issues or break downs. I beat the hell outta that thing and it never missed a step. I miss that gun and totally regret selling it to a buddy of mine. I needed money for a few custom projects and he had always pestered me about snagging that gun from me. I finally caved and totally regret it. I would love to have another one, but ONLY the C model and ONLY the VFC make. I don't like the full size rifle and carbine models, and the other 416s from other brands I've tried were shit. Maybe I'll get lucky and find one cheap. Not about to drop full sticker price on one again....

I personally like the orange tip, as I shoot my M4 in my yard and I don't want the neighbors thinking it is a real M4. Semi-auto M4's (sometimes called M-forgeries) are perfectly legal where I live, even in my yard. But I'd be crazy to do that. Those are for the rifle range! 🤔

In Ireland, from my experience sites love the G36c as rental rifles. M4/416 and G&G combat machine types are extremely popular. Ak'scan be popular too especially at nam milsims

I hate the modern loadout M4 platforms. They’re very “Call Of Duty”. Give me a big, dirty solid stocked M-16A2/A3 with iron sights any day.
You could never imagine Arnold Schwarzenegger with a modern M4 platform. They have more accessories than a teenage girl.
I'm with you on this one. I'd prefer a M16A1 even, because its "da Vietnam gunn" (well, kinda). I'd take a full length rifle if I played airsoft. I hate these little, ACOG-decorated (plus a flashlight plus a lazurr plus a 'nade launcher plus plus plus...), short-barreled "commando" versions. Give me the real deal, no fuss ironsight. Less is more.

Luger is a P08 and then they needed something cheaper and Walther made P38. Both great pistols and in fact Beretta 92 series have almost exactly the same barrel locking mechanism as P38 :)

Hey kids here some advice. Follow these rules and if you plan on playing airsoft for a long time I'll save you 000's of dollars.
Step one. Buy a gun that's simple, easy to fix, and otB reliable. I recommend a TM, a RS, an LCT, or an Echo 1 (red star specifically)
Next, if you bought the red star, install a weaker spring. This will extend the gearbox life
If you bought a TM leave the gearbox bone stock except MAYBE a torque motor.
If you bought anything except a RS the only upgrade I'd advise doing is hop-up mods. If you bought a RS do yourself a favor and LEAVE IT STOCK.
Now, after you've got 1 gun, buy a backup. I'd recommend keeping them compatible with both batteries and magazines to save your ass some money.
Now don't add anything on your gun. The only exception is a light if you play at night or in dark areas.
You don't need scopes, rails, or any of that bullshit. Once you start buying all of it you've opens the floodgates to slapping more shit in your gun. Keep doing that and you'll end up like me with a box full of spare parts, grips, lights, lasers, and all kinds of junk.
Keep it simple!
The fewer things you buy, the easier it will be to get rid of it or sell your stuff if you end up not liking the game.

You have a verry good point about you get what you pay for. There clothing line is not to bad though. I have a summit jacket that I used religiously for almost two years in Minnesota. I used that thing for everything I skied In the thing in Colorado and its held up just fine. You want to know if somethings good for normal use, use it during the winter in Minnesota.

Scar H is the more epic one screw the Scar L its just a overpriced rifle that has a reciprocating bolt whilst an AR-15 does not and for the price you can get a really nice one at that.

This is startlingly accurate, I started with a Walmart AK ( still have it ) then I got a Cybergun Famas ( still have it ) then finally got a Combat machine ( pretty much my main gun still ). I also decided I needed a SAW so I bought the Mk-46.

it is agreed m4s and 1911s are the most common thing in airsoft ive personally seen a lot of them as well when i bring my p90 on the feild im the only guy running it ive seen another guy use one as well i think shotguns that are shell ejecting are the most rare thing to see in airsoft either that or vector smgs

I have a grip and I don't use it unless I am going into a building because I find it easier at close range

I've owned a Combat Machine for years now, never failed me. Also bought a VFC 416 CQB at one point and absolutely loved it, but it had major gearbox issues within only a few months and I was forced back into another G&G. Probably an outlier, and I wouldn't mind getting another eventually
At my local place, there's a crap ton of Combat Machines, elite force 1911s, a ton of MP7 fanboys, and a lot of frankien built polar star rifles or modded M4s

Elite Force 1911s are cheap and reliable, and work well in alk conditions.
Combat Machines are cheap and reliable, and you will always see tweens and teeny boppers using them because mommy and daddy bought them nice/mean well Christmas presents.
You will always see M4 Franken-Builds of some kind because in airsoft the M4 platform is the AR15 of the real steel world. Theyre everywhere, ever company makes a version of it, and they have the most aftermarket support available, more than any other model of gun. Most companies parts are also interchangeable with other companies. They are the easiest to work with and the most readily available.
As for the MP7, 9 times outta 10 they are used by KWA fanboys who think there is nothing better. The other class that uses them that is also hand in hand with the prior mentioned most of the time are the COD and CS fanboys who think MP7 is the best and coolest gun ever made. Basically, its simply people who don't know any better.
As for me, all of my guns (including my pistols) are custom guns or Franken-Builds. Built a few custom DSGs from the ground up, got a few customized KWAs as beater guns, and some custom built pistols or pistols made by ghost companies no one has ever heard of. Got a few custom built race pistols too just cuz they're cool, and some revolvers (My favorite is the Marushin Mateba M2006). In short, none of my guns are "off the rack" models and people always think I'm crazy for using all kinds of wierd guns, and for not wearing BDUs/ACUs. This is airsoft not GI Joe dress up. "But its Milsim bro!!!" Bahahahaha. No. Just shut the fuck up dude XD.
JakeTheRipper 73 Tell me about it. I just used a revolver and wore my regular clothes when I did airsoft, and I used my pockets to carry all my stuff (cargo pants are awesome). People would always stare at me in their "military uniforms" and ridiculously modded weapons like I was from Mars. Never hindered my performance though, because I usually did just about as good as them.

9. M16A3 (Automatic, chews through gas, hardly use it)

I’ve had my Cybergun Famas for almost 10 years it is one of the most reliable AEGs I have ever used the sights are garbage and I will happily use my Ak or JG S System over it but I holds a special place on my gun rack.

Richard Harris The thing shoots amazingly it is laser accurate and has a great firerate, the blowback is loud and can be turned off which is nice, the only real problems I have with it is that it's pretty heavy which makes sense considering the length and size and the fire selector sometimes changes while running around because of how close the modes are but that doesnt happen often but it's a great gun

I went to a game yesterday. There was ~50-100 people there. I had an AUGA1, Mk18, and an AK-47. One other person had an AUGA1, one guy had a P90, one had some sort of FN LMG, one guy had that Krytac LMG, one guy had an AK-74u, one guy had a shotgun, one guy had an M16A1/2 and two guys had snipers. Everyone else had an M4. I got a lot of comments on the AUG, and a few on the AK. It just kinda sucks how every sorta defaults to the M4.

northwest indiana/southwest michigan here; m4's everywhere! 90% of the guns are an m4 platform of one brand or another. friend of mine owns 3 of them. i myself run an AK, a draco style AK, mp40 and an m60 for when things get sloppy.
I went to Red Dawn X in Crete, IL, and I agree. Almost everyone has an M4 (I personally have an echo 1 myself). I also have a G&G m14 ebr for DMR roles, and an AK when I feel like spicing things up
I was at that as well! I mean I won't deny m4s are good guns and the biggest benefit is all the customization and tacticool add ons they have... But I like running obscure stuff. My gear gets a lot of attention to say the least!

In western Europe, especially in the UK I see a surprisingly high amount of g36c variants. They seem to be fairly cheap and a lot of sites used to use (or still use) them as hired guns.

How much you guys shoot it? And all guns break. Barely any aftermarket support for those things. My friend had his limited edition 1911 slide crack in half and elite force wouldn't send him a new one.

Why is my hop up on my 1911 so high I’ve adjusted it the most possible so that the slide can still pull back but it just won’t go down anymore
The hopup arm may be stuck or it might have jumped out of its track on the dial. To fix this, unscrew and take apart your hopup chamber, clean and lubricate the dial and reassemble. Take care to slot the arm into the dial while reassembling.
The Krytac CRB doesn't matter what model it is you can upgrade the hell out of them and it is amazing mainly because Krytac provides everything on there website would definitely prefer getting the gun and definitely get it if your just starting
If you are just starting I recommend getting the Krytac Alpha CRB best starter gun

Because when you want to have a better one and don't wanna have to spend $300 for a new gun you can upgrade the spring and that will increase the fps by at least 50 fps

And if you are going to get a spring then definitely get a trident series spring because it is definitely a big bump up

Maybe because theres not many good (and well known) replicas of ww2 weapons and people want to rather buy some well known and used by many people replica of M4 or AK rather than not known STG or something.

Lancer tactical has cheaper M4 models for new players and shoot better so I'd recommend lancer tactical over G&G

Over here in the Netherlands there are a tons of m4's all over the community as wel as vsr10's. The squad and me prefer to use ares amoeba s1's and the asg steyr aug. Fore pistols the cybergun 1911 anniversary edition is the big winner in our squad.

M4s are everywhere, VSR10s are extremely good at range so yeah, that famas ive never seen before, MP7s are pretty common as the sidearms for snipers, i havent seen many hi capas ive seen more glocks tbh, ive never even seen a support weapon at my local game we mostly have snipers or M4 users, krytac is pretty good so yeah ofc its popular, aaah and the combat machine,ive got one my field uses them as rentals you can get a blowback system. new combat machines look so much nicer

Hi I'm looking into getting into airsoft but I dont have a lot of money to spend so I'm looking at getting a g&g raider and a AW 1911 because they are the best guns at a low price am I looking at the wrong guns? Any help would be appreciated
Any M27, Any M4, Any AK47 or Ak74, Any L115, Any M24, Any AWM, Any M1911, Any M9A1, Any M14 EBR/M21 EBR, Any Scar rifles, Any CZ scorpions, Any Magpul Masada's... Where are the people who aren't your typical sheep who use M82's or M107's, Dragonovs, Shotguns, revolvers, P90's, G3's and really anything else that is decent pricewise and preformance wise and takes skill to use... Personally I'll stick to my M82 and 6 shooter.
Running a F2000 and a Dan Wesson 6". Handling on this AR is so easy, can use M4 mags and all... but the revolver, it's just for the cool factor. I mean why would anyone use a slower, heavier pistol with lesser ammunition than any mag-fed pistol but to look like a badass ?

@@gfgnickname_not_chosen2598 I just got one. It is great. You can take almost everything apart, just like a real AK. Easy to maintain and shoots great. Just make sure to tighten the handle and stock screws after you get it.
