Love Beech Bend. The Cacklefest would be much better if they can figure out how to get both sides going at the same time. By the time the left side came down the track, the right side was already out of fuel?? Still one of my favorite events. Thanks for sharing.🥰
Ya I noticed that the right side didn’t last long running the yellow dragster that was right in front of me on the left side ran forever! lol I could see smoke coming off the cylinder heads and I could hear the motor starting to rattle before he shut it down!
No I don’t know who the driver was I’m just 35 years old so I didn’t grow up in the 1960s back when these rails were racing but I know who Don Garlits is and he had one of his swamp rat dragsters at cacklefest there he’s 91 years young and the look I seen in his eyes after all these years for his passion of drag racing was priceless!

John I enjoyed your filming of the cackle fest . Near the end you filmed the great expectations 2 do you know who the driver was ?
