    Sharing today the recipe of a Tawa Paneer Masala. This is a street food special recipe of Tawa Paneer Masala. The secret of a good Tawa Paneer Masala is the double cooking. A gravy is first prepared for the Tawa Paneer Masala then the dish is finally finished on the tawa. Another bhuna masala is prepared on the tawa to which paneer is added to finish the Paneer Tawa Masala. The Tawa Paneer Masala can be made as a dry dish for starters or the Tawa Paneer Masala can also be finished in the end as a gravy dish to be served as a main course dish. The 2 most important points to remember being the proper ‘bhuna’ on the tawa and the final finishes with butter , kasuri methi and coriander in the end for the perfect flavour.

    Recipe :
    Tawa Paneer Masala
    Preparation Time: 20 minutes
    Cooking Time: 30 minutes
    Serves: 3-4
    Ingredients:
    300g Paneer
    3 large onions
    4 tomatoes
    1 capsicum
    2 black cardamoms
    1 cinnamon stick
    2 bay leaves
    1 tsp Cumin seeds
    6-7 Slit green chilies
    1” Chopped ginger
    1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
    1 tbsp pav bhaji masala
    1 tsp Garam masala powder
    1 tbsp Kashmiri red chili powder
    1 tbsp Coriander powder
    1 tsp Pepper powder
    Salt to taste
    4 tbsp Oil
    3 tbsp Butter
    Chopped coriander
    1 tsp Kasuri methi
    Method:
    Slice 2 onions and finely chop the tomatoes.
    Heat 3 tbsp oil in a pan. add the bay leaves, cinnamon stick, black cardamoms, and the cumin seeds. Allow to splutter and turn fragrant. Add the sliced onions and sauté till the onion is light golden in colour. Add the red chili powder, turmeric, garam masala, coriander powder, 1 tsp salt and mix well. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook well till the tomatoes are soft and oil oozes out. Remove from heat and remove the bay leaf, cinnamon stick and the black cardamoms. Cool the masala. Add ½ cup water and grind into a smooth paste.
    Cut the paneer into small cubes. Cut capsicum and 1 onion into small cubes. Chop the remaining onion fine. Heat 1 tbsp oil and 2 tbsp butter on a tawa. Add the chopped onions and cook on medium low heat till golden brown. Add the pav bhaji masala and mix well. Add the masala paste and mix well. Add the capsicum, onion and paneer cubes. Mix well and cook till the masala is well bhuna and dries up completely. Add ¼ cup water and mix well. Add ginger juliennes, slit green chilies, coriander leaves and toss well. Adjust seasoning and serve.
