- In this video I take a look at three new options in Nerf Rifling. Called the iiBCAR and made by QLDY Studios, they feature an air spoiler and dart straightener as part of the design.

The reason for not wanting to over tighten PLA-CF is because the CF in the PLA reduces the layer bonding making it brittle, leading the material to break more easily on the Z axis. A bit of a gimmick to making PLA stronger. Would have worked better if it was PeTG-CF, which does benifit more from the CF on the Z axis.

When you pronounce the ii like this, it doesn’t really mean „making love“, but the Chinese word for love: 爱 is pronounced like ai so it is kinda related to it

I think the air spoiler might work better with blasters that have a oversized plunger for the barrel lenght.
I hope to see you test the Andromeda bcar aswell someday, would be interesting to see if a progressive twist actually does something.
Yeah I'd say HPA or having too short of a barrel may help enhance the effect of these. Though that would also tend to lead to worse accuracy than an efficient springer would give.
So the gist of it is,: iiBCARS are a combination of BCARS and ACARS, right? BTW love that you have both timestamps and what looks like a loading progress bar for the firing segments at the bottom of the video. Great attention to detail, top tier content right here!
Unlike an ACAR they aren't really using the air to add spin, it's more like a BCAR with a smooth more barrel after it. I don't think springers really generate enough air blast to benefit from the air effects.

I dont think the increased spread on the 15 and 18 has anything to do with too much spin. I think the air spoiler is the issue. If the bearing track is longer than the length of a dart, then some of the air escaping behind the dart pushed back by the spoiler will end up in front of the dart. This would explain why the the 15 performed better without the shroud. Turbulent air being pushed in front of the dart is going to make for less consistent flights.
I think the concept of the air spoiler/shroud is interesting, but I think as soon as the bearing track is longer than the dart you'll immediately lose any benefits.
I think the spoiler might be something to use on shorter barrels since the pressure would be higher
Thanks for the performance review on the new ii BSCAR. With the shots hitting higher at the target, would this means it can hit target further for the ii BSCAR?

What were the two different bird calls you hear at around the 13:20 mark?
How do you come to the conclusion that the BCAR can have too much twist? Did you measured/ counted the rotations? How do you know that its not too less? A breaking effect could also occur as the angle increases. All my test have shown that the angle has less impact than one would expect

Thanks for doing the testing and letting us know about new products in the hobby. But tbh there are now too many options. I feel once one has got the set up ( spring, barrel length, scar/bcar/pcar ) for ones' particular gameplay with the blaster of choice, then why keep changing. The springers today are so consistent there's little reason to keep falling prey to 'FOMO'
That sounds like an argument against research and development or attempting to improve on what we already have.
@@BradleyPhillipsYT Oh absolutely not. It's a balance between always wanting the next thing and enjoying gameplay. Personally I'm awaiting the next gen AEB's but I think I might stop there as that would be all I need for a satisfying game.

Hello Bradley, I have a serious question: what BCAR do I need to get good accuracy on 400-700 fps HPA? I'm making a single-shot sniper rifle, it can shoot at any fps up to 1000 (stable), but don't worry, for games with people there will be a limit of 300 fps, I've already agreed on this with the local game organizers. but nevertheless, I would like to get accurate shots at a distance of 50+ meters at an exorbitant FPS (only on targets), what should I do? In my country you can't buy anything from Sabre or anything like that, but I can make 3D printed attachments and buy them on taobao. I think I'll take some 300 fps rated BCAR, and just stack 40-60 bearings
I'd give one of these a try, should help reduce the muzzle blast of HPA

Any chance you could test the ACAR by Beneto on printables?
I've tried some air powered rifling before and they didn't really work. You'd need a highly inefficient blaster with too short of a barrel with enough air coming out for them to work properly.

I have the sabre bcar and have tightened all of the set screws as far as they will go but after a few rounds they come loose ive already lost a bearing have you had this issue?
No, haven't had this issue but you could try Loctite
@BradleyPhillipsYT ya that's what I was thinking might be my only option completely ruined my game when I saw the front set drew out and my bearing missing it was my first time using it too. I re tightened it and after a few more rounds other screws were coming loose so made it stressful using it the rest of the day.
@ceruleanidiot they were nice enough to send me the bearing I lost at no cost in a timely matter. I'm going to loctite them and pray that fixes the issue but some of the set screws seem to be looser than others wish there was a option to buy extra bearing just in case though.
Which would you recommend a caliburn 4 or harrier
Harrier because it isn't 3D printed.
Caliburn for power and customization or harrier for practicality and durability

There's no point doing a no muzzle device control. I have time and time again shown how utter trash the accuracy is without one.
Hey Bradley, I wonder if you could make a review based on the worker metal adjustable string scar?
Looking at a photo of it, it looks like a 3D printed string SCAR with a metal outer shroud. I'll be doing a video soon on a 3D printed string SCAR that may scratch that itch.
I just so happen to have that! I think it works well as a way to find how much rifling you want on your blaster for a balance of accuracy and power, though it can significantly drop FPS on some of the final-notched settings. I find myself using the 15th notch on it with my modded Longshot (x shot), which shoots around 270 FPS as measured from the Nerf Chronobarrel with full-length DZ rubies because I don't have any other chrono. I can't measure half-length darts because of the single-stage infared said chronograph uses, which doesn't measure speed properly with half-length darts. With my K25-TC spring and 45 cm barrel with that SCAR on the 15th setting clockwise from the center, I'm able to hit some hand-sized targets from 50 feet away in what I'm estimating to be every one in three shots.
I'd be glad to answer any questions about it, since the only review on the specific SCAR online doesn't really hand out information.
(PS: This is the only SCAR I have, so I can't really compare it to others :P)

Milsig is always going to be a little worse than a springer/AEG because the velocity is inconsistent.

the fact the darts drifted a bit to the right proves that the twist rate of the B-car is too high, that's spin out

I know you don’t get the point of flywheel blasters, but their intended purpose is affordability along with sustained fire. I know you talk about how bad they are, but put them against something of similar cost.
Which flywheel blaster is cheaper than a Nexus Pro? Because that's better than a flywheel blaster.

I was planning on buying a flag and Armor BCAR from OOD because it seemed like a good alternative to the Sabre, which feels out of budget for me. Seeing the II12 perform equally to the Sabre for pretty much the same price as the Flag and Armor is absolutely mindblowing. I hope to see more retailers selling this in the future because it's revolutionary for the price.

@@MrFreefonix420 both the Flag and Armour and the Sabre are CNC, but what you have to remember is that the Sabre has twice the number of bearings and more than twice the number of metal.
@BradleyPhillipsYT it's more of a boutique brand in my opinion, and as shown in previous tests it doesn't need that much metal, mabye the bearings but the housing and body for the bearings can be anything else, it drives cost up unnecessarily in my opinion, but that's not going to change any of the saber fan boys opinions, I'd personally never spend £400+ on a nerf blaster, its why I chose this over airsoft to begin with.
But as stated this is an opinion.
ii(ai ai) does sound pretty much the same as 愛愛, an informal term of having sex here in Taiwan. So yeah I wouldn't recommend calling it that.
