Warning: this mod is a pain in the bum
I modded the small sized 25 key korg microkey with a 3.5mm jack to the sustain button. Using a 3.5mm - 6.35mm headphone converter, I can play using a full sized sustain pedal because why not!
We are waiting forward for your modding instructions ^_^
Dzmitry Monchares Just added it to the description :)
***** thanks, man!
Wow wish mine had a pedal would really help while on the go
Looks like the new Korg micro-keys will all have a pedal jack. Look for it. They are calling it an assignable switch.
+Dee Broughton They look great! The new 25 doesn't have a sustain input though, but the bluetooth is very attractive!
Cool!
como adiciono o sustain?pode fazer um vídeo explicando passo a passo
A little late, but can you add detailed instructions or a video on how to mod it, thanks!
Hello! There's detailed instructions in the comments :)
How?? The micro25 deosn't have pedal input?
The mod is in the description :)
What is the song? Sounds so lovely
Boa tar, como VC ligou pedal?
Hello. I did the mod but the sustain function is reversed. Can you tell what i did wrong?
Ah, it might be that your sustain pedal has a reverse polarity? Does your pedal have a switch on it? If not you might need another pedal with the ability to switch polarities. This mod needs a 'toggle on' style footswitch.
@@jamontoast_music Betting it's a Yamaha sustain pedal. Yamaha somehow thinks the reverse is better, and ALL their pedals are Normally Open _only_ . Their older keyboards will also only accept Normally Open sustain pedals. Everyone else is Normally Closed or programmable. Not sure if Yamaha wised up with the newer ones or not. If you need a decent, cheap and switchable sustain pedal, I can vouch for the M-Audio - I've had one for years, and it still works great.
Can i have your diagram ? Thank you
Hi, it's in the comments :)
Does it work with the expression pedal, too?
It's only a on / off switch, so it'll only work with a straight on / off sustain pedal. It's pretty much just replicating that small sustain push button out to a jack.
Thx for your quick response!
