@jay0422 To be precise in what I know, but I must clarify that I may be Filipino, but I'm not a Pinoy; I don't want to be associated with the Pinoy way of thinking, I denounce this Pinoy pride and definitely not like those seemingly anti-intellectual Pinoys. It's time we get to learn something from history and others. Historical wars is among the reasons why I enjoy Sabaton.

@@redexusiai2508 If I have to be honest with you and I really never intended to start a drama nor expressing my grievances nor get political here, but I see a number (not all) of Pinoys being anti-intellectual, have this teleserye/melodrama and provincial mentality, being overly-emotional, praising a blinding nationalistic pride, a penchant for mediocrity and stagnation, incompetence, things are still under-developed and poor, there are pretty much a lot of problems in this country, and they call it Pinoy pride. This is why I don't consider myself a Pinoy; rather a Filipino who goes against the Pinoy pride and fighting for improvements in this country. I'm no mediocre and blind Pinoy sheep.
If I were you, don't let Pinoy pride get in the way of thinking; we need to be rational, reasonable, pragmatic and strive for intelligence, progress and be forward-thinkers instead of just having this Pinoy nationalistic pride. There's a saying by Einstein: "Nationalism is an infantile disease; it is the measles of mankind." It is this Pinoy pride that is preventing us from improving, progressing and developing.
In a way, I don't hate the people, but I hate the aforementioned problems that's gripping this country and our way of thinking.

I guess I also owe you guys a big thank you, since you sparked my interest in the Swedish Stormaktstiden and Karl XII thanks to the Carolus Rex album, which has led to Karl XII being the subject of my Bachelor’s thesis last year and I got a very good final grade on that! Så tack så mycket Sabaton!

I just saw a new interview from Thobbe (he talks about being back in the band ♥️🤘) and on his wall is that 4x platinum award (+ a few other things from Sabaton). I LOVE that you made sure he got it too.
He may not be on that album and this is after he left in -16, but he sure played that album tour great and was/is a loved member for us fans too.

To me Sabaton is the Scandinavia Iron Maiden.. And I'm always listening to the Carolus Rex album everyday all day long. And as I'm currently working on a documentary about Scandinavian wars from 16th century and to the end of 19th century I'm hoping that I one day can sit down with Sabaton and talk about historical events in Scandinavia that made an impact on how Scandinavia came to be. But for now I just enjoy their music while I'm working on my project :) And yes, I've been to Halden (Fredriksten Festning) this summer to witness the reenactment of the attack on the fort and the death of the swedish king.. And although I'm an norwegian I actually don't take pride in the death of Karl XII. And digging deep into the history of Scandinavia itself is pure pleasure for me...
But I couldn't have done it wihtout the inspiration and the motivation from Sabaton. Thank you, fellow scandinavian comrades!

@@gripen-swe Well, the documentary is a project I've been working on for some years now and it's about the wars in Scandinavia that one way or another made an impact on how Scandinavia become what it is today. It contain artworks that I've made alongside with the script I've written based on the research I've done over the years. The main goal is to get youngsters and kids interested in history which seem to be long forgotten. But the documentary is not only for the younger people, it's for every one who are interested in what our history have to offer.

As much as I wanted to see Joakim bow before the king, I kind of understand why he didn’t.
Carolus is dead, this isn’t his world anymore. His time came and went. No one has to do anything for him. But Sabaton still does, and so Carolus sees them as his equal for it.

Sweden should legit make a official movie from when Karl is king at 15, how he made sweden such a big power, the battles and his journey through europe, and then end the movie with the campain in norway, his death, and the Caroleans death march. 10/10 would watch
Sweden was already a great power. Carolus just tried to defend his country when Poland, Denmark, Sachsen and Russia joined forces and attacked after his father Karl X1 had died. He did that for his entire regency until his death in 1718.

There is no better way to learn than through a memorable song with true meaning behind it. Sabaton has inspired me to really learn about history, something I've never had an interest in before. I would have never heard about Carolus Rex or any other historical figures if it weren't for this music, and it is amazing seeing these stories finally being told.

I was quite pissed when I visited the Swedish military museum or Swedish history museum, whatever it is called, in Stockholm. No glorious section honouring Gustavus Adolphus and Carolus Rex but only briefly talking about their reign and emphasizing fucking Poltava. At least one would expect them to mention that Carolus defeated all of his enemies before but no they moved straight to Poltava. Sweden should take more pride in its golden age and its Carolean heroes.
