- Join me on my solo adventure to Kruger National Park during November.
I stayed for 6 nights at Skukuza Rest Camp. Skukuza can be very busy at times and is a very big camp, therefore many people avoid the camp.
However, it is one of the best game viewing areas in Kruger.
Lets explore this historical area and see why this time of year is an ideal time to visit Skukuza.

I hope to get the opportunity to visit one day. Until then I'm stuck with raccoons and squirrels going through my garbage cans. Fantastic footage
You have to do it if you get the opportunity!! Really amazing experience. In Kruger you also get dumpster divers, but there you get monkeys, baboons and honey badgers!

Altyd lekker om hulle te kry! Weet nog nie, maar vermoed dit sal in die noorde wees, Punda Maria/ Shingwedzi. Dit was my eerste keer om alleen te gaan. Gaan verseker dit meer gereeld doen, sal ook weer gaan kamp. Ons kamp nie te veel nie, maar probeer so een keer 'n jaar te kamp in die Wildtuin.

Really enjoying your videos. What camera did you use for filming and lens…. I also do videos but got a little sony HD and need to upgrade.
Hi Paulo, thank you, glad you enjoy them! We always want/need to upgrade! I use a Canon 80D and 100-400mm mkii lens and a Gopro hero 8 for all the wide angle videos. I feel I am a bit limited with what I have at the moment. The 80D is decent for photos but honestly not that great for video. If I upgrade I would go mirrorless if the budget allows it.
@@leonbadenhorst Thanks for the reply Leon, my wife and daughter take the photos i do the filming. Since 2007 I’ve filmed so amazing footage…i like the sony but for R25000 eish…

How much of Krugar is grassland vs forested area? Most of the time I see grassland.
There is no true forest in Kruger. Some areas areas are dense with lots of tree cover and shrubs and some areas open grassland with a few trees here and there.
