The fact that neuroplasticity caused us to see blue as an variant of green is quite fascinating. Soothing(cause i was seeing blue all the time) and insightfull video.

I never knew most of this. The idea that blue didnt "exist" until a word was invented for it is quite mind blowing!

i've seen blue on the ruined temples of the 5C bc Greek temples, and it was well represented in the older Egyptian culture and Mesopotamian ones Think of the presemce of Lapis Lazuli, traded across the near east for more than 6,000 years ! they had lapis in pre dynastic Egyptian times, as we have the artifacts in the Petri Museum, way before egyptian blue was first formulated to make cheap copies This is nonsense and erroneous Puttting forth that lapis was discovered by Alexander is a major short fall in your research and credibility Really you need to up your game There are research papers from Oxford Uni that document the much earlier trade in Lapis that are freely available Blue was a well known wonder of the first civilisations of the fertile crescent The colour blue has been highly prized and widely sought for at least as long as Lapis has been mined Otherwise why the high valuer of blue gold and it's presence in the most prestigic artefact assemblages from the earliest bronze age cultures ? Trying to extrapolate back a small piece of research to envelope the entire known history when it is hugely wanting, by an amormous amount of evidence to the contrary is very silly and doesn't help education

I'm happy to admit all of my comments are based on the research and scholarship of Cambridge Professor James Fox and his book, The World According to Colour (cited in my notes). You seem to care about this topic a great deal, and I highly recommend the book to you. =)
