We make hard candy using 100+ year old, Victorian machines and equipment. Flavor and color are linked in our mind, and we break these links by making candy where the color is a constant but the flavor is not. We play with your brains by showing the stroop effect, and if you get our candy you can see the effect with flavor.

The psychology of color is powerful, and red is very effective because it’s an attention-grabbing color, and might be the biggest reason for the success of something like Coca-Cola.
One example would be four coffee pots colored yellow, purple, blue, and red. When asked, everyone agreed that the coffee in the red pot was the best, when all four pots contained the same coffee.
Red is a major draw whether it makes you think warmth and comfort, or, danger (I mean, would you pay as much attention to a STOP sign if it were beige?)

The delay I had on those colors made me rethink life, he did that.
Also the rhythm of the music had me trying to get ahead of the delay that I wanted to add before reading the colour. It felt like I wanted to read the colours at one word per beat.

I love when candy flavours don't always match the colours! I have a sensory issue where eating green coloured things hurts my mouth / makes me feel ill so this sort of thing means I get to try the "green" flavour without the hurt of the colour

Use the trigger part of your mind and identify the colors as fast as you can. You should be able to color coordinate before being able to read
Czar Abrupt Another tactic is to squint until the words become blurry. You’ll then be able to recognize the color much faster without the word getting in the way.

I love this idea but I'm allergic to grape flavouring don’t want to risk it lol keep up the great work

I have experienced the stroop effect when I made cupcake cakes for my nieces birthday and her mom wanted it to look like a tree with little owls in it. I only had vanilla frosting so I colored it brown for the trunk and I got tons of compliments on my "chocolate" frosting! I had to tell everyone it was all vanilla and they didn't believe it. Even when I tasted it knowing it was vanilla I could almost taste chocolate.

I'm from Denmark, and that's the colour of "Rødgrød", direct translation - red porridge/grit. Its made from strawberries and rhubarb. It's typically served cold and thick with cold cream poured on top. Eat it with your family and friends, while sitting in the summer sun. It's about as Danish as you can get!

Most of our flavors are natural. And we do make batches of food coloring free candy on a regular basis watch our website will be making food color free candy canes sometime soon. We even have a video on it.

Ah the stroop effect, remember it from when I was 7 at the Ontario science centre. Ah I tried practicing it to get better, but my practice yielded no results. I was a disappointed 7 year old.
