I’ve known this song for years, but it’s not something that usually pops up in most minds when he’s mentioned. He did his stuff and got popular, then the two tribute albums, but to me his best stuff was in the mid to late 70s, the jazzy stuff on RCA.
Yes totally agree. I like the rare stuff and deep cuts if I can find them. That’s why I posted Daddy Frank and Red Bandana from this show first. I have lots of other shows in much better quality but these rare live versions are priceless to me.
I agree after his mama tried days from 1970 through 1976 it was like he was trying to figure out who he was. I think the outlaw movement helped change his writing style and the themes of his songs.
Can’t wait to hear some more from this show. His voice was so great here. I remember hearing a brilliant version of If We Make It Through December from this concert a while ago on UA-cam. Thanks for uploading.
Thanks Billy! I agree this show is amazing. This time period is under represented in the Haggard video catalog. I believe Today I Started Loving You Again will be the next one I get finished. Appreciate the comment.
I agree I didn’t love that hat but those feathers and hat bands are making a comeback in some of the honky tonks here in Texas. Did you hear that amazing guitar at 1:07? Hag’s band never disappoints.
Love Merle, Bonnie & The Strangers. Thanks for Posting.
Prime Haggard. What a band, what a monumental talent and life.
Thanks Roger!
The BIGGEST COUNTRY ARTIST EVER: HAG
And The STRANGERS: What a band,
ROY NICHOLS ON GUITAR AND NORM HAMLET ON STEEL!!!!!!!!
Man good to see this footage again, lost my tape few years back. When my blue moon turns to gold again is one of his finest

I look forward to hearing more from the show. Thanks again 😊
Did he call Bonnie “babe”?❤
I like those black telecasters Merle and Roy are picking Thanks for sharing Shakey
Great song...Short & sweet. All we need to do now is get Merle a new hat. Yikes!! 🤠

Great voice and so handsome clean shaven but beards especially without a moustache didn't do him any favours.
Thanks for more from this concert!
Can you post today I started loving you again from that concert? I can’t find it anymore and to me it’s the best version out there
I have a few others on deck from that show but will look back at that one for sure. Thanks for commenting.
Great performance - thanks, as always!
Hope you are well Davis!
I wonder if he wrote that song for Bonnie too. For years when ever they sang together the look so lovingly.
