- Invasive species are everywhere. Plants and animals have been crossing borders into areas they didn't evolve in since humans started bringing them along. But not every plant and animal that is brought into a new area is invasive. So what makes something invasive? In this episode we explore the Kudzu vines, the Zebra Mussels, and even cats.
This channel serves to be a fun, entertaining, and educational source of answers to commonly asked questions. New episodes are every Thursday.

These videos are amazing! Please keep up the great work.
Like introducing cane toads to Australia to control a grub that lived underground 😂. Cane toads are a huge problem there now.
Great topic and coverage!
Why doesn’t the government do something about it? I can only do so much as an individual
No one needs to do anything about it except stop fighting it and behaving as if this process, which is one of the main drivers of the process of evolution, is bad. Challenging? Sure. Horrible and something that must be stopped? Not in the least.
Thank you for these videos..I love learning interesting topics with a matching video. Appreciate the work. I live in FL ..Kudzu is a 😈😈
i learn so much
And yet humans aren't on this list. i wonder why.
Yikes the world is crazy complicated
Indeed it is
Humans playing go's. Those poor cats.
they change the eco system not destroy it. every plant and animal started as an invasive and they have came and gone ever since. ya can't just stop time and everything just remain stagnant for eternity.
Even though this is a rather poorly articulated statement I do agree with you, naturalist and nativist have this illogical view of getting the world back to some ideal way it was 5,000 years ago. The world is subject to constant change, and who’s to say the things we think as native were actually invasive but have been there for so long that they evolved and with them evolved species to take advantage of their growth.
Sad about those cats.
Species disperse. With and without our help. They have for a long, long time and if we want to survive as long as possible, ourselves, we will make sure they continue to do move around the planet to find suitable habitats as the climate changes rapidly and we will certainly stop fighting it.
Splice invasive dna with food bearing? 🤷
Maybe you're onto something there... If only it were that simple.
Not logical - virtually all foliage has graze value for ruminants. The issue is we don’t graze ruminants on side of highway, power lines, any open space like your neighborhood or yard!
