What this guy says is very true. I know a startup advisor who says that most of the VCs are bakras(scapegoats). I asked him, why are you calling such super rich people bakras? He says, these bakras invest in startups and sell the stake to a bigger bakra (bigger VC).
bhai jo VC mein baitha hota hein woh Stanford ya Harvard MBA kiya hota hein, and that guy wants to earn in millions as his compensation. toh ye game woh log knowingly khelte hein, buy something that has some value at 1x and sell it to someone else for 5-7x hopefully, without giving second thought if this will be profitable in the future or not. Ye VC game ab sabko pata hein. sab bada bakra hota hein High Net Worth banda ya banks jo sabse bade VC mein paise lagata hein.
The business world is dirty, startups are not socialist or even mixed ecosystems, enter the world at your own risk, everything is not wine, Lamborghinis and mansions and glittering jewels, people have to struggle for a pure management. 10% of powerful people control the rest 90% of the world. Don’t be conned by the glamour, concentrate to remove the fog and you will see everything is darker than your closed eyelids. Man awesome video. 🤯🤯.
Hey Aditya, I think you have a biased take on this. Most of the start ups were very dependant on economies of scale and that's where they have underestimated how overboard they have gone. And this is how fundings was raised from the begining you should probably get some data instead of giving instances for example Amazon still does not have the margins of a company of that stature but there is one thing that Bezos has been clear about that he believes in the field of dreams. Indian entrepreneurs have got lost here as well but that doesn't mean you can write these founders and companies off so fast. And most of the people mistake pricing for valuation and then end up buying into IPOs and losing money. Appreciate the effort.
The business world is good as long as their is a sense of responsibility for their own business not like the startups that are poisioning the well in India, the valuation calculator needs to change, no venture capitalists should lend money to non profit organization, this is the only way how startups will survive in India, profits should be the main aim in business
Startups always raise funds to fuel their Operations. Inventory, Marketing, R&D, Sales & Distribution, etc. The funding rounds like F&F, Seed, or Series rounds are a different topic. Flipkart or Paytm is not profitable because of their growth-first mentality & Immense competition (Not because their unit economics is flawed). And that is true that many startup founders do look for an Acquisition exit rather than an IPO but some brilliant founders went from idea to IPO and still are going strong. I think the VC world is overrated, Do check the data on Private equity rounds and you'll find how big the institutional investment world is. Anyways, I hope next time you'll do more intensive research.
When Jio came up, the internet prices went down When Startups came up, the salaries went too high..... this will affect something in someway cause.... earning 1 lakh per month as fresher at age 22 is like... very crazy and it has some drawbacks too....i can see some experienced engineers who earn less than the freshers from IT sector....this really doesn't seem right... And the way colleges started to boast their placement packages, students will tend towards earning package rather than knowledge Someone should do something about this.
Yes, also a mistake at 5:52, where the shareholding of adi, vaibhav and investor x, should be 40.5%, 40.5% and 9% respectively, and not 41.7%, 41.7% and 6.7%
Real Businesses & True Startup are those which are bootstrapped & keep away of funding, investors money in initial time. Because founders have full confidence on their Startup and Profits. In this scenario there is no investors pressure to manipulate profits & valuation. But in most cases when a startup raise money from VC then dirty business of startups start. After funding final AIM of founders and VC becomes EXIT from firm with huge Profit in their Pockets. And this EXIT can be easily done by launching IPO!! After launching IPO we all know what happens!!
Their will be always some black hourses in all business but it do mean VC is bad.. best way is to understand job of VC to comeout with good company and job of investor is to undestand the company and risk involved in it. VC investment best suite for mature investor who understand market, company, risk, investment Horizon etc.
I don't understand why Investor X is diluting the same equity percentage as Adi and Vaibhav. If X equity is 10% in the company then for an extra 10% of dillusion for a new investor he will only dilute 1% ( which is 10% of his equity) and Adi and Vaibhav 4.5% each. Correct me if I am wrong

Aditya, why don't you yourself start a start up and try to implement what you say. " Bell the Cat ". People get fired for many reasons. Companies don't make profit for many reasons. Nowadays, every year fresh MBAs and BTechs are graduating out. I have myself gone through the horrific experience of employing an MBA in HR who herself became nervous while taking someone's interview. Its not possible for any organisation ( generally ) to apply "litmus test" during recruiting. Targets when not achieved , leads to firing. Complacent behaviour at workplaces, leads to firing. There are so many other reasons. And its not possible to evaluate whom to retain and whom not to, individually. Hence, the entire vertical is scrapped ( generally ). You add value to the organisation, you stay. You don't add, you are rejected. Plain and simple. Moreover, without startups , unemployment would have been much higher and " TRADE X " wouldn't have been there to sponsor this video of yours. Plain and Simple...

Yeah bro you re right
It totally depends upon the agreement you have signed with the investor. It's a mutual decision that whether equal percentage will be diluted or not .
In that way at one point in time, the old investor stakes will be wiped out I guess
@@AbhishekJain-df7jk yes if they want to be diluted otherwise in Ideal situation everything go according to your above calculation.
