That’s a cool behind the scenes tour of the track and dioramas. Thanks Mark. Appreciate all the hard work that went into your track. It’s a special place to race and the commentary and editing is amazing. Makes for a very entertaining place to come together and race.
Just found your channel yesterday and binge watched The Great Sand Dunes series and was instantly hooked. I have no interest in professional sports, but this is cool. From the craftsmanship of the diorama and even the cars, to the filming of the races, and comedic and colorful commentary by the hosts and Billy, all of it is very well done and entertaining.
It's quite obvious how much work goes into GTR's racing layouts. This train tour really puts it into perspective! The amount of work and dedication it takes to not only put all this together, but also the time and logistics is truly amazing. Wow!
Awesome video, Mark! The work you’ve put into your tracks definitely shows. It’s really cool to see the areas we don’t usually see, especially for someone who is about to start on their track.
Wonderful video, Mark. I have model railroad equipment in N, HO, O and G scale. I’ve been involved in model railroading since I was very young, having an older brother who also had a train layout in my parent’s house. Some of my family was also employed by railroads before I was old enough to get a railroad job too. I volunteered for many real railroad activities and also worked for two real railroads for about 15 years, helping bring a small tourist railroad back to operation, even giving them my model railroad’s name for the new operation: Delaware Lackawaxen & Stourbridge in northeastern Pennsylvania. There’s so much more to tell, but that’s the basics. Thanks for all that you do and for doing it so well.
I love it Thank you so much for the tour, I love trains and I build my own layouts as well so it's great to get a tour of yours, thanks keep up the great work my friend
That was a great ride and behind the scenes tour. Can we switch rooms? LOL! My area is almost exactly 1/2 of the space yours takes up. WOW! Your builds and scenery are off the scale Mark. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Mahalo for the cool tour braddah. 10,000 thumbs up on the behind-the-scenes tour. "Keep your roof to the Sun". Mahalo! 🤙🏽
Thanks Mark. Really appreciate the extraordinary content, video quality, professional editing and the absolute load of fun you bring to GTR. Can't wait to see what 2025 brings! HNY!
Your passion for diecast racing and creating amazing sets and small worlds shows. A very amazing space you have created. Thanks for inviting us in and holding races.
Love this video!! Would really like to see more behind the scenes and build videos showing your progress and advice on how to build our own train and car track scenes.
That was so cool 😎! You have created a very nice layout and two great race venues. I love your channel! You create some great content, races, and commentary! Keep it up!
This is probably the coolest thing I've seen a diecast racing channel do, really love it! My brother also does stuff with model trains, and I did as well for a little bit so this was a nice nostalgia trip
What a great tour. A truly impressive room you have there. Thanks for your videos! Look forward to more and progress on your Diorama. And more racing vids of course. Have a great new year!
Wow!!! Thank you for the tour. I would have never guessed you had a full train layout with not one but two race tracks. Look forward to seeing what you build for the rail yard and town. 🎉
That was such a cool look at the track never seen a tour like that Before. Felt like we was actually there. You do a awesome job!! Both with races and behind the scenes stuff!!
Brilliant. This also gives me a proper chance to thank you for the fun and thrills you give us all: somehow, you make it all feel REAL... it's hilarious and exciting and a feast for the imaginative child in all of us.
Very cool Mark!! I didnt realize this was S gauge. You had me fooled into thinking it was HO gauge (which is what I model). I still have N gauge that belonged to my grandparents that my younger brother will eventually take off my hands. My HO gauge layout (a work in progress) is 34ft x 8ft. It's 5.5ft wide in the 2 "towns". There is one section (where Im currently focused) that is at the base of my steps. That section is only 15in deep and has presented a unique scenery challenge, but its getting there! Looking forward to more racing and layout tours!
@@gravitythrottleracing Love watching the races on your channel!! I just got finished recording and editing my channel opener which will go active on Jan 1st, 2025. It gives a history and overview of my "monster" as I call it!!
It's like the behind the scenes videos of Disney World. There were a lot less random dinosaurs than I expected though. I assumed you had a dinosaur infestation.
Hi Mark. Happy New Year 🥳🎉. Wow very nice train ride. I love Trains 🚇🚂🚝. You did amazing build and very realistic looking raceway course. Very professional 💯👍. Thank you so very much for sharing this wonderful video and God bless you and your family always 🙏. Looking forward to seeing more videos soon. Oh BTW, I'm very interested in racing at your raceway. I some trucks, cars I'm working on.hopefully one day I will be able to do so.
Great Mike! If you haven't done this already, there are 2 things you can do to get more involved: 1) Sign up on redlinederby.com. This is where pretty much all the diecast racing builders and hosts share tournaments and sign up to race, and 2) I've got a GTR Facebook page where I give an early heads-up as to my racing plans.
I love this video and your idea of having the train transport the cars! I really liked the camera view of the race from the train and was stoked when you considered my suggestion to make them more frequent. I hope I get better at building so I can buy a sign and send it to your track. Keep up the great work, you truly are the Mr. Wizard of Die-Cast Racing and will be in the Hall of Fame.
This video is fantastic. I love how you were able to have trains and diecast racing all working hand-in-hand. Are you planning on making a third track? I hope some of the other diecast channels do something like this. This is fascinating to me.
@@gravitythrottleracing Good to know! Small diecast car scaling feels like a light suggestion at best, and considering how pricey S-gauge trains are, I was worried it would be an expensive investment to not pay off.
@bustermaximus Yeah, model railroading does rack up the bill, but I was surprised to learn that my S gauge Berkshire locomotive, at $335, would cost me double the price in HO scale!

The whole setup just keeps getting better and better! Well done!
Wow, I had no idea all of its one big integrated layout ❤
I’m so glad you did this tour!!! Absolutely love it!! Choo choo

Nice sense of speed at this scale to go along with the tour above and below both racing tracks 💯😎🏁

N gauge
Billy’s train is N scale.

In reality, does S-gauge look good with Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Johnny Lightning, etc scale?
Yes! Both are 1:64 scale. HO scale is very popular, but it is 1:87 and looks small next to Hotwheels.
