Canice, I’m so deeply sorry to hear about your mother’s passing. I can only imagine how difficult this time has been for you. It’s remarkable that you’ve returned to vlogging amidst everything, and I hope you know that your viewers are here to support you. Your kindness and creativity have brought so much joy to so many, and we hope you feel that same care and warmth returned to you during this challenging time. With heartfelt sympathy, Michael This version balance
Hi Michael, Thank you so much for the lovely message. I was very lucky to be able to spend the time I had with my Mum. She was my number one supporter. I do miss her…💔
Hey canice, please make away for those who want to help and support can do it. It’s not charity it’s not begging it’s love. We’re friends you don’t know who want to help you and are or would be very happy doing it. You honestly bring so much joy to people and we care soooo much we want to help. Please think about it! Xxx
Hi Mandy, I’ve reinstated my “Buy me a Coffee” link. It’s in the description of this video… There has been a huge response from people saying the same thing. I guess I just got to get over myself…😂😂 Thank you!
I'm happy to see you put 'the gue against the sides'. One day, it will make you very happy. Sheep gue is better, but indeed, more expensive. Take care, keep warm, and pray for the sun coming soon.
Your continued resourcefulness on top of working within the parameters of power and limiting fuel usage. You are amazing!!! PS it was 10 deg F today here. Take it back!!!! I need my warm breezes with the smell of purple sage and hot sand off the mesa back!!! LOL. All the best from the cold desert Southwest Canice!
I saw that the temperature has plummeted in the USA. Apparently this has charged up the Jet-stream and chucked a storm into Ireland and the North of Britain. Thankfully nothing happened here in London…
@@canicebannon Hopefully Ireland fares well. Any large buildings you can hide Jorja and Linda behind if it gets freaky? We are in the 25's and it went up to 38f so I got to go wash the truck and get her all shiny again. My fingers only slightly went numb. Stay warm!
Glad to see your back , sorry about your mom I lose my mom to dementia she didn’t even know who I was it was the saddest time of my life but you get up and do whatever you need to do. Lots of love from Louisiana ❤❤❤❤
Hi Susan, thank you so much. I can’t image how hard it is to have to care for someone with dementia. It’s only after my Mother’s passing that I realised how hard it was as I decompressed. I’m so glad I was there for it though and I wouldn’t change it for anything…
Loving the look is that church pew that you’ve used for the ceiling great job with the wrap rounds for the windows using recycled timber otherwise it would cost plenty 👏
Yes! So, they came out of St Giles Cripplegate in the City of London. I think they were front panels at the kneelers or something like that… I bought them as a job lot, not knowing where I was going to put them until I realised there was the exact square footage I needed for the ceiling. It was a little miracle.
Well done to Jackery for helping you out. We’d help too if there was a way of doing it. You’re so industrious, Canice… endlessly impressed by that… but now I need to take a break from being impressed and go back to sleep 💤 😂
It’s so bright because….the curtains are gone YEAH!!!! But I am sure they haven’t gone far 😢 I am so glad that you accepted the sponsorship from Jackery, it definitely comes in handy. Is the wood on the windows staying or are they going to come off???? Loved your song 🎤, as well as the great drone footage. Great job Canice. Have a good week. 😊🤗 Kathy
Jackery has been really kind and patient over the last few months and the product is genuinely useful… The curtains are very near by!😂😂😂 And I have a collection of spare ones too!😁
The stickers: Delfsail happens once every 5 years around the sea port of Delfzijl in the Dutch province of Groningen. Tallships and other sailing vessels gather around the harbour and can be boarded for a tour around the ship. There's music and food on the quays and 'one can walk on the heads' (it's very crowded). Borkum is a German Island that is actually closer to the coast of The Netherlands than it is to the coast of Germany, and a ferry between the island and the shore leaves the Dutch port of Eemshaven several times per day. Borkum is a classic seaside spa town build in the late 19th century / early 20th century, with a boulevard along the main beach with wicker shaded seats for rent, and several hotels facing the sea. A little train carries passengers from the ferry to the town. Langeoog is another German Waddensea island, like Borkum, but further along the German coast. Of the remaining stickers I can only make out some event in Haarlem, the capital of the province of North Holland, the rest doesn't ring a bell. Placenames in Northern parts of The Netherlands and Germany ending in -um are actually English 'home', so 'home of [Enter first name here] in Saxon / Frisian times. Areas ending in -oog are or were islands, and oog / oy around the North Sea is the same as the 'is' part in English island, having the second meaning of 'eye' (in the sea).
I did not know any of that. I had tried to see if I could keep the stickers but they weren’t coming off. Now I know why all the towns in Friesland end in -um… Thank you for the education. 😀
The Sea Captain keeps getting approached to make an appearance. His demands are outrageous as always and we have not been able to make the deal. 🤪 He will return…
Looks like you've got our weather and we have yours. Maybe it's time to complain to...hmmm....Freyr or Thor? They've probably been carousing again and got it all mixed up. Those weather gods seem to be messing up a lot these days. I imagine the little generator is pretty efficient--but fuel would likely be a lot more expensive where you are. Today a litre of petrol was $1.76 --about a pound--in Vancouver.
I don’t use petrol often, but I did notice it has come down to £1.39. January is a very quiet month work wise. I guess that is why I’m chewing through the batteries because I’m usually out and about and the solar has time to catch up… Getting plenty of odd jobs done… It’s cold and grey here for the most part. No drama and I can live with that!😁

I agree with this post.
Great progress in difficult conditions. Can’t wait to see the hull planking, I bet it will look spectacular.
Hi Alistair! I’m not decided as to what the planking will be, I’m going to leave that for inspiration to answer…🤔
Great vlog again Canice 👍
Coming on leaps and bounds with my favourite music to boot!

Another great episode. I'm barely generating in this dull weather, with a 2kw array, and 15kw of storage. Still, I don't need to run a fridge...
What I don’t get is how I forgot that this was the case in winter. I’ve been doing this for ten years!😂😂😂
Great video once again ,greasy glue song being a particular highlight
Some times inspiration strikes at the most surprising time!😂
Great video again Canice. Where's the Captain and stillson are they in the brigg? 🤣🤣
