Herbert Hoover and Paderewski True Story

It was a small act of kindness. But it clearly marked out Paderewski as a great human being.
Why should he help two people he did not even know? We all come across situations like these in our lives. And most of us only think “If I help them, what would happen to me?” The truly great people think, “If I don’t help them, what will happen to them?” They don’t do it expecting something in return. They do it because they feel it’s the right thing to do.

This is a very touching story that is rarely seen today. Paderewski was a great man and pianist, but probably not a great politician.

Interesting, and if they were friends. How Pedreswski didn't know Hoover was the young guy he helped playing the concert 🤔. Or it's just true, adapted story.

Fake story.
Hoover noted in his memoirs that they only had $150 instead of the $1500 required, and Paderewski laughed and said, essentially, "Maybe next time".
And Hoover claims he mentioned this to Paderewski years later and they had a chuckle over it.
The story as presented is fiction.

@@janosik150 Also, I learned that I'm 1/4 Polish. I didn't know that my whole life until just over a year ago. I learned I'm related to Hoover about 6 months ago.
