As a fellow resident of these fabulous Hawaiian Islands, I, too, enjoyed your video. My wife and I moved from Utah to Molokai (into a 2-story house) in March 2019. Several years earlier we purchased a 2-bedroom condo on Molokai. We "tested the waters" of life living on this small island, and really fell in love with Molokai. We fly to Maui 2 or 3 times a year; we also fly to Oahu two or three times per year---and we're always there for the anniversary of Pearl Harbor. (A better movie to watch than "PEARL HARBOR," but, perhaps less entertaining, is TORA! TORA! TORA!.) We do most of our major shopping on Oahu and ship what we buy via either Kamaka Air or Young Brothers for the heavy and larger items. I lived on Oahu twice as a child, the second time was from 1959 to 1961. Yes, I was living on Oahu when we became the 50th state. The best thing about Hawaii, as I suspect the two of you have discovered, are these wonderful people. The "Aloha spirit" is alive and well everywhere we go on Kauai, Oahu, Maui, Lanai, Hawaii, and, it's even better here on Molokai! Nice video! Keep up the great work. Andy McKane, P.O. I have been watching so many videos about what to do on Oahu and wasn’t really satisfied. I almost gave up. I decided to watch one more, yours, and wow! This is perfect. Exactly what I was hoping for. Thank you. 😊
Hello Stella 👋 so glad we could help you plan your trip. Be sure to check out our other Hawaii videos and our blog too. Thanks so much for this kind comment made both of our day. Hope you have a wonderful time in Hawaii 🤙🏼✨
By far the best and informative video I have seen thus far - Thank you. Got a question for you though - waterfall, which one would you recommend for families with kids? I.e. safe for kids, not too exhausting to get to etc..
Let’s freaking GO! Worth the wait.. and I sure love every single one on here! Absolutely killed the edit and voice over🤙🏼 so many glorious views… already looking forward to the next! 🤩👏🏼
Wow I have watch probably 20 videos or more about the Hawaii Islands and this was the best! I want to do all of these ideas! Thanks for sharing your knowledge in a chill professional way!! Also any tips for good kid friendly boogie boarding beaches with a hotel nearby in July? My tweens like bigger waves but I’m worried we won’t find that in Oahu. Thank you again!! 💜 🤙 💜
Thanks so much for your kind comment! Glad we could help you plan your trip. In July Waikiki and the south can get some pretty good swells. So that would be best especially since all the hotels are right there. If there’s no luck in Waikiki Sherwoods/Kailua beach is always a fun place to boogie board and generally has waves year round from the wind. Hope this helps 🤙🏼
Glad you found the video useful! Really depends on the activity, but I would say anywhere between 1 and 3 hours per activity not including driving time. You can definitely hike and beach on the same day. Hope that helps!
I grew up in Hawaii. I live on the mainland now. I remember all the delicious ethnic food in Hawaii. The Asian restaurants here don’t compare to the restaurants back home.
FYI....Lomi-flavored ahi poke bowl=Non-existent! Thinking you got 2 different raw fish dishes mixed up...1)Lomi salmon=Cubed salmon mixed onions, tomatoes, scallion mixed w/splash of chili pepper water. Longer marination increases flavor/taste...2)Poke bowl=cubed ahi(yellowfin tuna) mixed w/various garnishes/sauces, usually served over hot rice. Traditional Hawaiian poke=ahi, onion, shoyu, green onion, Hawaiian sea salt, limu(seaweed) usually brown/red, inamona(roasted kukui nut relish) L-a-n-i-k-a-i=Lah-nee-kye(Not Lah-nah-kye) Mokulua=Moh-koo-loo-wah B-y-o-d-o In/B-y-o-d-o temple
Keep up the good work 🎉 always a good video from you two! Love seeing the adventures! -I know this is an older video but going through catching any I may have missed and realized I didn’t like/comment on this 😂
No, it’s most likely going to be very rough. We would recommend the east side in February: Lanikai, waimanalo, Alan Davis. We go into more detail on beaches in our top beaches video. Hope this helps and you have a wonderful vacation!
Very useful video although sometimes a bit dull. Good editing. but how the hell you weren’t even thinking of going to Pearl Harbor in the first place? Such disrespect for world history. Apparently “likes” is all that matters nowadays.
Thank you for taking the time to watch our video and for your feedback. We're glad to hear that you found it useful and that you appreciated the editing. We also appreciate your point about the importance of recognizing and respecting world history, such as the significance of Pearl Harbor. While we were considering not going because of the crowds and price, we understand and acknowledge its significance and encourage others to visit if they want to. We value all feedback and will strive to improve our content in the future.

This is the best of any of the "Things to do in Oahu" travel guides I've come across!
Glad you think so! Thanks for watching!

Waikiki is IN Oahu… what.
dude I’m not even paying attention to the information due to the 🔥 b rolls. so crispy. you gotta do “what’s in my cam bag” video
Thankyou for the loaded info...question how long does each activity take...trying to get an idea...how many activities can be covered in a day please
Glad you found the video useful! Really depends on the activity, but I would say anywhere between 1 and 3 hours per activity not including driving time. You can definitely hike and beach on the same day. Hope that helps!
What camera do you use/have to record the vids? They are stunning!
Thank you so much! We use the Sony a7IV. All the links to what we use are in the description 😊
Best video of things to do on Oahu
Glad you liked it! Great recommendation 👍🏽

Love the easy side drive day suggestions... what is the beach after the blowhole though? I can't get it 😂
Was it Halona Beach? It’s right next to the blowhole, same parking area. Hope this helps
Love it guys

Beautiful!!!!!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it 🫶🏽
omg Pillbox hike is short, but DEFINITELY NOT EASY! It's really steep to the point where there a rope to get up some of the steeper parts, be warned!
*Moana is an excellent Sunset Sail.
Hello,
Looking at going to Hawaii but not sure if we should go in May or September.
Thoughts?
I’d say September. Late summer early fall is our favorite time to travel around Hawaii. Great weather and just after the summer rush.
@@WalkerAndCiara Thank you so much for the input!
what is the location of those mermaid caves??
Is Waimea going to be a great spot in Feb? or is the waters too rough?
No, it’s most likely going to be very rough. We would recommend the east side in February: Lanikai, waimanalo, Alan Davis. We go into more detail on beaches in our top beaches video. Hope this helps and you have a wonderful vacation!
@@WalkerAndCiara thx so much for the heads up and thanks we are going to have a blast ❤️🌴🌴
How common are sharks at beginner areas of surfing?
None. It is very rare to have shark attacks in hawaii at all, much less in busy areas.
Why didn't I see the Polynesian Cultural Center?
We put together a blog text version of this video to make it easy for you organizing your trip: www.walkerandciara.com/blog/oahu-top-25-things-to-do/

TOP 25 THINGS TO DO IN HAWAII!
#1) go back to the mainland.
Please do not go to Mermaid caves, it is very dangerous.
It's "On Oahu"... not "In Oahu".
It's graffiti on the walls of the pillboxes and not artwork. It's vandalism, disrespectful and against the law.
