Excellent tutorial, it worked perfectly. The only really tricky part was re-connecting the antenna leads, I found those very difficult to align. In the end, however, it was just a matter of being patient and careful.
@@Rise_Higher-444 I used a little pick tool that came with the replacement board kit to sort of nudge it into place, then finished with my finger nail.
Hello. #1.- YES! Thank you- this was sooo easy to follow. I acomplished the entire process in under fifteen minutes. Your Video was easy to follow, explained it all in the most simplistic way. The best part- My phone is charing. Thank you!
I am looking at this video because I have this phone and maybe this problem. But as I watch it, I ask, how hard would it have been for those tapes of battery wire to simply hook up to flat battery contacts and design a simple pop off battery door for the phone? That way one could simply open the cover/ door without messing with glue or heat and just swap out the battery when its nessecary? They could even have a separate charger box unit to charge the spare battery and sell that as an optional accessory. I dont k ow, makes sense to me. Keep the phone at the same price point but just make the battery swappable.
@@Mr.Gundam7 I take that back lmao. I got two replacement ports, one from Amazon and one from another random parts website. Both of them killed my signal (for the most part). I have reason to believe that the good reviews on Amazon that mention no problems are bot reviews. That being said it may be true that for some people it doesn't actually mess up their signal. So if you want to give it a shot, it's not that expensive.
I would like to know why this port wears out so quickly, other phones continue after many years. Also in checking out this phones replacement charging cords they are different sizes that fit into the port, so what brand is actually the best one for replacement? I am not talking about the length of the cord, just the port con nector. Thanks for your very good video. Am glad to have come across this and have subscribed to your videos.
My wife broke the charging port. She went to a shop and they priced the repair. 75.00 for the board and then labor of 150.00. I bought the part with tolls for 12.00
Can anyone please tell me if the Moto G Stylus 2021 supports USB 3.0? I thought it was relatively new and had a fast charging port, but is it outdated already? I have software that isn't working saying its 2.0 not 3.0. I seem to not be able to tell anywhere. Thanks!
This video is great and did help me replace my charging port, but any idea why the replacement part I got won't charge when plugged in with USB C to my car? It also won't connect with the car screen or my laptop computer. I've tried two different replacement parts and 3 different USB cables on each replacement port. The phone will only charge when plugged into wall outlet now.
@@DIYGeardo I'm looking for SKU 5P68C17691 and could not find it in stock anywhere. Also I have a similar problem as @jbowes1386, but with MTP, OTG, ADB and Fastboot. Am I missing something? I notice the boards I have are marked with 2040, and 2244. My original, and the SKU 5P68C17691 is marked with 2045-1. What even is that number?
Absolute legend. I was able to fix my phone for like 10 bucks instead of buying an entire new phone
Thanks 🙏
absolutely love this direction. quick and to the point. EXCELLENT!
Glad it was helpful!

They're Sooo tiny, did you use your fingers, or a tweezers ?

Excellent video. It looks difficult to disconnect and reconnect those tiny antenna head wires.
Yes kind of..
Had I found your video first I could have saved $700 bucks instead of buying a new phone on the word of the best buy salesman.
Thanks for sharing your feedback

Charge works, but am told cell network is unavailable. Wifi works, so I'm assuming antenna cable connection is OK. Any suggestions?
I saw some amazon reviews that said the same. Doesn't happen to everyone though so your best bet is probably just getting another replacement.
@@Scroolewseso if I'm lucky it won't happen to me right? I'm trying to change mines

Interesting. Maybe call motorola and ask. Would like to know what they say.

Shop always has a cost, can't complain. We may be get 10 cents from a view..haha
Did it work? I'm seeing that some people are saying in Amazon that their wifi and signal is not working after they changed the charging port
Changed out charging port phone charges but the network goes in and out
Probably a bad board
About how long should the phone stay on the heating pad?
about 3-5 minutes on 60c will be good
Thank you❤
You're welcome 😊
Great Video
Why the links don't work anymore?
Will update soon..We are in a transition period.

I think it is quite related. But take it as a reference and be patient
Thank you for the video

I read some amazon reviews on the cheap charging port replacements for this phone that had the same problem.
How the hell did you get the back pad off so easily? I can't get it for the life of me using a guitar pick like thing
