- this video assumes you are familiar with the events of FF15 and Episode Ardyn.
this was intended only to be seen by a friend of mine but they suggested that i publish this, so um, sorry to whoever wrote the wiki plot summary. it's actually really appreciated.
this isn't intended to be a video essay or anything, it's just me reading out the wiki summary about the events of Dawn of the Future and making a few editing jokes. also, this is kinda my first actual attempt at long-form video editing.
Probably 10 years from now, i hope square enix would remake the game completely by incorporating all dlcs, kingsglaive, and dotf. We would've had a finished game, just like how Nomura wanted all these years. I guess it's impossible but i can only be hopeful
Though with studio luminous shut down I don't think square wouldn't have priority for FF xv content in the near future unfortunately
@@ahmadmirzatappi8142 doesn't matter really, anything can happen in the near future so if its not luminous, maybe another studio or a new one might be developed specifically for versus 13 would take over and restart development
let's hope, brother. 🙏🏻💨
FF15 deserves the FF7 remake treatment.
No, no it doesn’t.
no it doesn't. FF15 game play is
unique enough said ^^
I've already moved on, buti would still be happy if ff15 were remade wity more complete story.
I agree if they could do a remake of FF7 where they reimagined it’s storyline then they could do remake of FF15 with a more completed story.
Appreciate the summary! I can never get enough of this lore.
Without Dawn of the Future, do players think Bahamut was a good guy? Everything is preordained...said who?
I always new he was bad
nah, man. Even without Dawn of the Future, Bahamut was the dickhead of the entire game
Though the novel sounds super convoluted, killing gods is pretty on brand for a Final Fantasy title.
Look, I’m all for bitter-sweet/sad endings, but FF15 isn’t it. A tragic ending is only effective if the investment towards the characters/story is actually good. FF15 practically had no real character development between the main cast of characters (main story, before the DLCs) and just killed them all off and gave us a bad ending. DoTF is the most fitting ending given the circumstances of this story and will forever be canon to me.
ff15 needed to be split up in many games, just like ff7. there's too much lore to put in one game.
i hope someday square enix revisits ff15 and redo this game just like it deserves
Just finished FFXV , saw the 1hr vid explaining all of the story lore. but to me it' just not sits right. it was missing. i know it. from playing dragon quest 8 and 11 , i know there is a dhoulmagus and the true evil Rhaptorne (DQ8) and on DQ11 (Lord of Shadows & Mordegon) but it's CALASMOS, the way they are putting it is so satisfyingly fantasized.
Without Dawn of the Future, Sadly players think Bahamut is a "guiding" GOD. though it is hinted but yeah this was the reason the FFXV is "incomplete"
The revenge , plot and the emotions and all that narrative is somehow lacking , if the story got hyped like it was attack on titan , it's so much better.
Thank you for this. Really completed my review on FFXV. so much better with a Dawn of the future.
Deserved more views!!!! come on FFXV players view this! lol.
It's not that ff15 had no clear vision... the vision was stolen from the visionary and given to someone else to play with using executive meddling. Frankly, this novel does not make the story good to me or even Lunafreya likeable. All they did was mess with the goodie-two-shoe healergirl image (which was already a bad choice, Stella was just better) and add a touch of edginess with the demon queen shit...so now her image is straight up awkward. Appreciate the summary nonetheless as there was no way I'd swipe for the book lol
Tabata still worked with Nomura. So this isn't exactly true
They definitely had vision and the ideas are okay but I agree the second half/ ending isn't good. Especially the "happy ending" for something that's supposed to be like "reality". There's no reason they shouldve got married or them still being royalty
@@delsingray5923 you mean like how when you write a software, get swapped to another team for another product in the company and the old project you lead, the guy who took over asks you what some old code you wrote does? xD
This is what happens when someone messes with Nomura's visions.
...well, this and Sora sitting in Noctis's throne pose and Yozora...
Yah we got a good story and not the mess the kh series is
This was the fault of Nomura. He didn't know what to do with the story a decade ago. He couldn't deliver. That's all.
By all accounts the game wasn’t even half finished when Nomura was taken away from it. And they had to rework it from the ground up in order to salvage something from it.
Nomura being removed saved the game from development hell. Where it still probably would have been would he have been allowed to stay.
Nomura had no vision, those trailers were all he had accomplished after several years of development, all of this happened because of his incompetence when handling this project
I blame SE for this Tabata wants Multi-disc releases but they didn't give him that one....
I'll say this to the high heavens, FF15 walked so 7 remake could run
True!!
Omg!! This story is so confusing and full of contradictions. It seems like the writers even confused themselves with this convoluted story.
If SE asking what we want but scrap anyway, just give us game editor or mod editor we can make it ourselves
Me: revive Nyx Ulric?
Devs: fuck no
😅
in anticipation of playing ffxvi end of year (getting ps5), i am replaying ffxv royal after many years and im really really enjoying myself! its probably because im a bit more emotionally detached from the disappointments and expectations at launch, and accepting this game as it is.
There’s a lot of inconsistencies with the novel now that I think about it….
Tragic no one sub from this video? People are freebies😢 u got my sub
After hearing all this, I think I'm a lot happier with what we actually got. This whole thing sounds so out of place. It's obviously just trying to force a happy ending to a story that was never meant to have one. Ardyn is the best villain in the series since Kefka and Sephiroth, and all this pretty much stomps all over his character.
Your finally conclusion is horrible. This would have wrapped everything nicely for the people that want a happy ending, it would have added and answered cool lore questions. Luna has plenty of agency, weirdos like you just don’t like it when women are traditional and feminine. Beyond that, it’s hilarious that people will play souls games, where there is about a hours worth of total dialogue in a 100 hour game. With no real objective other than combat. Then praise it for having good storytelling. But a game like ff15 with plenty of loud and quiet world building, through full on story missions and characters talking amongst themselves while exploring the world. But everyone acts like the game somehow isn’t finished. Simply because it has a sad ending. All the DLC for this game have essentially been retcons of the original game for that reason. Hundreds of the best story’s ever told have sad endings. In fact historically early plays and films weren’t considered good unless everyone died in the end. Final fantasy 15 is a literal masterpiece. And it’s a masterpiece we don’t deserve because very few understand the way it conveys its story and lore.
I’m glad we didn’t get this. The original ending is much better. A happy ending isn’t always a good ending.
Thank God that shit was canceled.
i hope this will all 1 day remake again like ff7 remake
