@LeRoy Jenkins not saying this commenter but most people don't understand how much of a handful these cars are with no driver aids what so ever and a 90" wheelbase mine is 2,480lbs no driver and 600hp and it will bite quick if it catches you slipping. And your correct this owner is not pushing this car max I'm sure he is getting light on the big end with no down force that's the reason for the Daytona coupe the extra aero helps tremendously 👍

Man....Mayhem is a beautiful car inside, outside and under the hood. I have one question. The Mercedes is from the start constantly pulling away from mayhem. I understand how the Mercedes ET is faster then mayhems but,can someone explain how mayhem had a faster time then the Mercedes? Juan that was a GREAT interview.
Carl - really appreciated the kind words!! As for your question, two things happened. First, I let the Merc start way ahead of me because this was my first run of the day and I needed to see whether the track surface would hold or if my tires would spin on the hit, in which case I don't want a car next to me if I suddenly veer left. That leads to the second thing that happened - I did indeed spin the wheels all through 3rd gear (my start gear). It wasn't until I shifted into 4th that I finally found traction and started accelerating hard and catching the Merc. That is why my MPH is higher than the Merc. Also, regarding "time", the Merc was quicker (shorter time) than me to the finish line for the two reasons I mentioned, but my MPH was higher for the same reasons. Make sense?
yea but straight line head to head isnt everything. Put them on the track or at the bottom of a mountain road and then look at the money spent to build a cobra versus a $100,000 plus corvette and it's a sick ride. Plus the anti-establishment and diy heritage of this car is awesome.
